Bootloader unlock failed: Command not allowed and OEM unlock option not available - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hello guys,
in these days I’m struggling for unlocking my Huawei P9 (Build number EVA-AL00C00B176).
I got the bootloader code, I installed last version of ADB and Fastboot and so on... (by the way I already did with several phones, so I have some experience about this)
The problem is when I launch the fastboot oem unlock ... command, I always get:
...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.014s
something that make me suspicious, is that I can enable the "USB debugging", but I cannot find the option "Enable OEM unlock". In all the guides I found even on this forum I always found that if I cannot find this option I can easily ignore, but now I found I have an "FRP Lock" that I have to bypass in some way.
I really have no idea about how to do... anyone can send me to right direction? Thank you so much!

How to enable OEM Unlock:
http://techbeasts.com/how-enable-oem-unlock-android-lollipop-marshmallow/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AoDVMVlJEU

Thank you hanniSK,
the problem is that I cannot find that option anywhere.

Anyway, accordingly to the link you provided, it seems I cannot find it until I have enabled the PIN/Password/Lock protection.
I'm trying to disable it (and with this kind of Huawei, seems also quite difficult...), then I will report back.

You must unlock Developer options in Menu..
Go to Settings-About device.
In About device locate the build number of your device. Tap the build number for 7 times to enable Developer options.

Problem solved! I've been able to unlock the bootloader.
First of all, I confirm that my smartphone doesn't have the "OEM Unlock" option. Of course I correctly enabled the Developer options menu (otherwise, how could I enable the USB Debugging option?), but the OEM Unlock was simply not visible (take a look to the following picture), anyway that is NOT important.

In the guide you posted, hanniSK, I found this sentence: "Custom images will be only flashed on your Android device if the option is enabled, if your device is already protected by some password or pin, no user will be able to enable this option" so, I passed the next 4-5 hours to find a way to disable the password request for the screen unlocking. Yes, you read well: more than 4 hours to do that, because I had to disable options, delete fingerprints, revoke certificates and so on... after every attempt to disable the screen unlock security, I found it "Disabled by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage".
Finally I solved with a soft reset (Advanced settings -> Backup & reset -> Reset all settings) and I managed to unlock the bootloader on the first try (yes, I lost all settings, but in any case is something that must happen when unlocking the bootloader).

Please explain the steps in detail

What kind of error you get?
By the way, these is in detail my unlock process:
I obtained the unlock code (I asked it through Huawei support forms on their website)
I downloaded the ADB, Fastboot, drivers and so on, I recommend this post where you can find instructions and download links: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
I did the soft reset (Advanced settings -> Backup & reset -> Reset all settings)
I connected the phone, than launched the command "fastboot oem unlock myunluckcodepoint1 "
After the reboot, my phone was unlocked.
Before, when I started this thread, I was stuck on the point 4 because the command didn't succeed and I always got error (I was jumping from point 2 directly to point 4), after I did the setting reset I managed to unlock immediately.

On step 4 my phone just says Waiting For Device. None of the drivers are missing. Also phone does not have OEM Unlock options, even after factory reset. Not sure what to do.

Hey bud I have the same model as you with later firmware. I am unable to unlock my bootloader. It says waiting for device. When I put the phone in fastboot mode I see phone locked at the bottom of the Android robot

The fastboot screen you see is right, the "waiting for device" message is usually connected to a missing driver problem, but you also said that no driver is missing.
Anyway, I recommend you to double check the drivers, to check if any device is missing or wrongly marked in your (windows) device manager, finally try to type these 2 commands (from command line):
fastboot devices (then post here the ouput)
and
adb devices (then post here the ouput)
Try to run these 2 commands also with phone booted normally and let's see...

Both those commands return nothing. Drivers are confirmed to be correct. After a lot of research I'm finding this Chinese variant has yet to be rooted or even custom recovery. I'm sad to report my Huawei may just be incompatible and permenantly locked. Bootloader code was also purchased through unofficial app DC unlocker

Try to post as much information you can about "this Chinese variant" (I thought we have the same one), anyway the adb and fastboot commands must respond something, independently if the phone could be unlocked or not.
What do you get if you run the commands when the phone is switched on normally?
Did you also try to disable/enable the "USB Debugging" option?
Also try to post a screen of your device manager. Can help.

I have tried that. EVA-AL00 Huawei P9. Unfortunately I just can't get it to work.

Hi,
I had the same problem, same fault while trying to unlock boot loader. After I disabled “Phone-Finder“ in the Huawei menu or security option, then I could unlock the bootloader.
Also in my dev-menu, the “oem-unlock“ option is not available. Seems, on the EVA-AL versions, those options are linked to each other.
Please check, and reply, if this also worked for you, then we may can mark this topic as “solved“
Please give it a try, good luck
Settings/Advanced-settings/Security/Phone-Finder/ enable Phone-Finder off

You are genius bro ! Worked for me thanks ! :victory:

This also worked for me, thanks. "After I disabled “Phone-Finder“ "

If you can't see anything after these commands, computer doesn't see your device. Make sure that you enabled USB Debugging in Developer's setting and installed all needed drivers. In some case it's important to use original cable for your device and not to connect other devices while you are working with yours

I ain't getting unlock code from emui

I have a Ascend P7 L07 here with same problem, how i can flash boot.img? My smartphone is bricked and not entering on system

in fastboot mode

You can't!!!
You need to flash a official China Stable 8.0.5.0 ROM to unlock - tried it with different phones and methods...
I have not activated the "find device" and is still unlocked.
Hi
I have recently purchased a Redmi 4 Prime phone that came with the vendor rom and I wanted to flash the latest china dev rom, but am stuck in bootloop. cant enter DL mode, but fastboot is OK. unfortunately none of the adb commads work, the phone is recognized under "fastboot devices" but not under "adb devices". I have tried the fastboot2edl v2 method but is goes straight into bootloop. can you please suggest what to do and help me out?

Try to turn it off and press volume down + up and power until the LED flashes red and connect USB - it should be recognized as Qualcomm ******
If not, then build your own deep flash cable or order one on ebay or something... - with that u can reach the DL mode on nearly every Qualcomm device

Flashed the Developer Preview Rom and it worked
usually the issue with unlock is a different username used to login. use the same, either email, number or name on both.
should solve it.
Can anyone translate this to English?

[Root] [Guide] SM-J327U

Required items/files:
1.SM-J327U (obviously)
2.Windows PC
3.USB cable
4.Odin 3.12
5.CF_autoroot for SM-J327T (the SM-J327U file will not work for some reason)
Optional (but recommended):
1.stock rom (for restoring your device if something goes wrong)
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for those who mess up their device and those who complain on this thread that their device got bricked will be ignored. You agree by simply rooting or attempting to root your device while using this guide and that this is at your discretion and me and anyone on xda-developers.com will not be held liable to any damages to your device or any losses you may occur financially. You also agree that your warranty is now void as per warranty policy set forth by samsung.
Steps:
1.enable oem unlock in developer options
2.turn off device
3.boot into download mode by using Vol-down+home+power button at the same time for a few seconds.
4.Plug device into pc with usb cable.
5.Open odin as administrator and verify that your device has been detected by seeing added.
6.Put cf_autoroot into ap slot
7.flash it and wait for it to finish and say pass.
8.boot into recovery and factory reset
9.verify that your device boots correctly and that you indeed have super su installed and have root.
Easiest root ever. Why can't the sm-j327t & sm-j327t1 just be this easy? it is practically the same exact device as this one in this guide. The only difference is that it is made for a specific phone company. the sm-j327u is unlocked for all carriers.
Notice: if flashing fails verify that you have followed all steps in order
Thanks goes to ashlyx for helping out someone else with this device get root as i do not own this device model. I made this guide to simply help people with this device out as there is no guide yet anywhere on the internet.
Notice: TWRP has been released for this device please refer to this thread for an alternative root method: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...nt/ecovery-root-twrp-3-1-1-1-samsung-t3709987

frp isnt supposed to be in developer options its a setting that is automatically enabled when putting a google account on your phone. it shows on in download mode if you have a google account attached. and also if you boot up after factory reset and it asks for the google account that was linked to the device then frp is enabled and you need to login and then after setup remove the account from the accounts list in settings and then goto developer options and make sure oem unlock is on and then reboot your phone completely and after it boots up again turn it off and goto download mode to confirm FRP is off. you should see FRP off in text on your phones screen.

Question Can't Unlock bootloader (remote: 'Token Verify Failed, Reboot the device ')

So recently I purchased a Redmi note 10 Pro Max and it's pretty nice so far but yea there's one problem MIUI. I'm not really a big fan of it so I really wanna change it but I've been trying that since couple of days now I can't really use any miunlock tools because I'm on Mac. I've tried every command to unlock ./fastboot oem unlock and whenever I use this command it says this (FAILED (remote: 'Token Verify Failed, Reboot the device')
I've turned oem unlock thing in developer options and turned on usb debugging.
and ./fastboot flashing unlock (this one doesn't work at all) so is there any way to unlock the bootloader so I can install twrp then a custom rom. And there was also I thing I would like to know does installing a custom rom or recovery void your warranty I mean like in future if my phone's display stop working or some speaker problems would they still repair it ??? Thanks a lot

Depend on your country/region Xiaomi/Redmi warranty policy.
If warranty is void after unlock bootloader, then no.
If warranty is not void after unlock bootloader, then when you need warranty support for hardware, better flash official MIUI back into phone. The recovery should also change back to official ones.
Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco warranty is different between countries and regions, so you have to lookup on their website yourself.
Thanks a lot. I'll definitely check it out also I'm thinking to install Pixel Experience do you think it is a good rom for this phone?

I had this error too. And i figured out what was wrong. It's easy:
1. Log in on your xiaomi account
2. Enable developer options in Settings > About Phone by repeatedly tapping MIUI Version.
3. Enable USB debugging
4. Go to developer options and enable "OEM Unlocking"
5. Also in developer options is sth like "MI unlocking status" click on it, and scroll down to button "add account and device", click on it, you need to parry phone with your xiaomi account
6. Use tool to unlock device/follow instructions in that app. ( default one - miflash unlock, or - XiaoMiTool V2). I dit it using miflash unlock,

There is a fix for this here. The project is mostly abandoned so you have to manually rebuild it after changing the login URI.

Here are the exact steps if you need it. The instructions are for linux, but similar steps worked for me on both linux and windows. I skipped steps 4 and 5 and just used the gradlew included in the repo. You can find more info and troubleshooting here but feel free to PM me if you run into issues.
I recompiled the program but I am blocked at phone detecting. Perhaps there is no way to do this

How To Guide Unlock Bootloader on Xiaomi 11T Pro (All Variants)

Perform this at your own risk. You will LOSE all data on your phone.
( I'm not responsible for any damage to your device )
This guide will walk you through the process of Unlocking your bootloader on Xiaomi 11T Pro.
Prerequisites:
Backup all the files on phone as we will be resetting the phone to unlock the bootloader.
Install ADB and Fastboot Drivers from here (Select the latest) -> https://androidmtk.com/download-minimal-adb-and-fastboot-tool )
Install drivers for Xiaomi 11T Pro -> https://droidfilehost.com/download/download-xiaomi-usb-driver-for-windows
Download MiUnlock Tool -> https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html
Unlocking the Bootloader:
Go to "About Phone" in Settings and keep tapping on MIUI Version until it shows "You are now a developer"
Navigate to "Additional Settings>Developer Options" and enable "OEM unlocking"
Make sure you have a Mi account and your sim is inserted. In Developer options, select "Add account". Now your Mi Account is linked with your Device.
On your PC, open MiUnlock Tool and login with the same Mi account you have used login to the tool.
Power off your phone and boot into fastboot mode by long pressing the power button + volume down button.
Connect your phone to your PC and click refresh in the MiUnlock Tool
After clicking unlock, it will give your a wait duration. (Generally 168 hours, there's no known way to bypass this wait time) You can continue to use your phone meanwhile, but remember to backup before clicking unlock after your wait time is complete.
After your wait is complete, click unlock and then click reboot. Your phone will now reset and boot up.
Enjoy.
Is this true about warranty? I think that i read that unlocking bootloader is not reason to void it
I have attempted to unlock bootloader, it ask for 336h wait. Did they changed waiting time from one week to two? Is it because device is quite new and they don't want them to be unlocked?

depends on the Mi Account, is it a new sim or an old one? I checked and added a new one to the device and it gave 2 weeks of wait time. I just added my old one and it gave 7.4 days of waiting.

I just need the adblocking stuff only
You don't have to root to have adblocking. Use private dns.

Use the "driver_install" to fix the issue. Connect the phone both normally and in Fastboot mode. It automatically installs the drivers.
Hi guys, same problem here, Mi Unlock won't recognise my phone. Actually when I connect the phone to the PC in fastboot mode, nothing happens... I've tried to use the solution above but it doesn't change anything. When I click on the "driver_install" nothing happen neither.
On the Mi Unlock software when I go to the parameters and that I check driver installation, it says it can't find "miusbdriver.exe" (something like that). I took the miusbdriver.exe from the other version folder (from the message of arash74 above) but it's a loop : It finds the file but it asks me to reconnect my phone and so on.
Any help would be nice ! Thanks

It's worth a try to disable driver signature verification as well.

Thank you Arash for your answer mate, I just did it with this tutorial :
I was stuck at this step actually, I didn't understand that by unpluging and pluging back my phone it would install the drivers !
So now I guess I have to wait 161 hours to continue my unlocking thing but I'm glad I could fix that problem of undected phone, and if it helps someone else here it's also a good thing then.

If you unlock bootloader, no your warranty will not be void. However if you show up to a Mi service center with an unlocked bootloader and a custom ROM, they will consider your warranty voided.

Question Update OnePlus 10 Pro from HydrogenOS (CN) to OxygenOS (EU/GL/IN) without rooting

This process uses Oxygen Updater as I haven't found the full EU/GL/IN stock ROMs anywhere else.
Update OnePlus 10 Pro NE2210 (CN) from HydrogenOS (NE2210_11_A.12) to OxygenOS EU (NE2213_11_A.12)
Download [Play Store] apk and install
[Play Store] install [Oxygen Updater]
[Oxygen Updater] Device: One Plus 10 Pro EU
[Oxygen Updater] Update method: Stable (full)
[Oxygen Updater] Settings > Advanced Mode - activate
[Oxygen Updater] Update > Download the full stock ROM (4.15 GB)
Activate Developer Options
Update > Local install
CURRENT STATUS: Verification failed
I've done this process before for other OnePlus phones and it was very straightforward. For some reason is not working with this OnePlus 10 Pro. Any insight on how to continue?
Thanks!
Bump, redownloaded again the EU version, resetted phone, still fails. Whyyy! Anyone can advise how to go from Hydrogen to Oxygen? Thanks!
Short description for "How to switch from ColorOS (Chinese version) to OxygenOS (IND/EU) on OnePlus 10 Pro". I did the flash under Windows 10, even if I'm usually a Linux guy...
BEFORE DOING THIS MANUAL, MAKE A BACKUP OF THE DATA OF YOUR DEVICE! Your phone will be DELETED completely!
1.)
- Download the desired ROM (Oxygen OS 12.1 A11 (IND) or Oxygen OS 12.1 A12 (EU) (Auntie Google has the answer, effective April 2022) -> extract
- download OnePlus_USB_driver.zip:
https://oneplususbdrivers.com/download-oneplus-usb-driver/ -> extract
- download Android Platform SDK:
https://www.techspot.com/downloads/downloadnow/5425/?evp=de0a68064118855fcddcc3980a2143c4&file=6062 -> extract
- download "Fastboot Enhance Tool": https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...enhance-payload-dumper-image-flasher.4310553/ -> extract
2.) First of all, disable driver signature check for Windows 10, because the OnePlus drivers are not signed (yet).
3.) After restarting Windows, install the OnePlus drivers by executing the .exe file from the extracted folder.
4.) Copy the payload.bin file from the downloaded ROM into the folder where the fastbootenhance tool is located
5.) Enable Developer Options on your phone
6.) Enter the Developer Options, enable OEM unlock and USB debugging there
7.) Now connect your OnePlus 10 Pro to your computer by a USB cable. Make sure it's started, screen unlocked and charged over 60%
8.) On your computer, open File Explorer and switch to the Android SDK folder. Click in the address line above and type CMD [Enter]. A CMD window opens in the SDK folder.
9.) In CMD, type "adb devices". A new line should appear with the encrypted name of your device. When an empty line is returned, check the driver installation. If this line returns the name, but the suffix "not allowed", you must first allow this connection ON YOUR PHONE. Disconnect and reconnect your device and confirm the popup that appears on your phone! (Best is to enable "Always allow connections from this computer"!)
10.) Now type "adb reboot bootloader" in CMD. Your telephone restarts automatically to bootloader mode. In this mode your phone should tshow you it's name and beside of some other information you don't need, that the bootloader is LOCKED.
11.) Type in CMD "adb flashing unlock [Enter]". Now your phone should restart and ask you, if you want to unlock the bootloader or do not unlock the bootloader. With the volume buttons, switch to "UNLOCK BOOTLOADER" and confirm by pressing the Power Button.
12.) After doing so, restart your phone. After rebooting, go back to CMD and type "adb reboot fastboot". Your phone now should restart to "FASTBOOTD MODE". You are asked to choose a language (I recommend english after all... ;-) )
13.) Open the "Device Manager" on your computer.
14.) If device manager shows you some unknown device like "Android: ! 'ossi'" or similar, your device is not recognized in fastbootd mode. In that case continue with pt. 15. Otherwise continue with pt. 19
15.) Right-click on the unknown Android device and choose "Update driver..." -> "Search my computer for drivers" -> "Pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"
16.) When OnePlus drivers where installed correctly some steps above, Device Manager should suggest you 3 different possible drivers. Choose "OnePlus ADB Interface Manager" and confirm your choice. Windows will warn you that a wrong choice will crash Windows. Confirm also this warning.
17.) If everything went good, the before unknown device will change to an Android ADB Interface Device. When that happend, everything is good and you're good to go on.
18.) Just to be really sure: Type in CMD again "fastboot devices" and your computer should tell you the s/n of your phone with the suffix "fastboot". This will tell you your device is recognized in fastboot mode.
19.) Start "FASTBOOTENHANCE" tool from the respective folder (Folder name "release")
20.) Now you can follow the instructiions here at pt. 8.:

Puuuuuuh! That was enoying..! Maybe I have missed something... If so, please tell me by PN and I will complement this manual. But at this time, I guess it should work. I did it right like that this day - and it works fine! Finally I have my foremost chinese OP10Pro with a EU ROM in (swiss) german!
And if it works just like that (after my manual), please let me know as well!
Have fun! Oliver
Oh, there's something I forgot: I had after flashing still about a dozen of chinese apps I had to delete manually. Don't be surprised by that!
Thank you! Can you relock the bootloader afterwards? What model shows in the phone info screen?
This worked for me! Thanks very much.
After installing EU firmware, I factory reset the phone but Google Pay wont work saying the phone is rooted but when I launch Root Checker, it says ' Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device'

I didn't relock my bootloader yet, but I'll do it in the next days, I'll post the update here. (Speaking technically it's possible, yes, but I don't know yet what happens...) And my model shows "NE2213" after the update.

Hi Lynxy0
No, your phone is not rooted, but the bootloader is still unlocked, even after the update. And that means your phone is vulnerable to attacks from outside. So Google Pay tells you your phone is rooted, just to keep you safe. Try to relock your bootloader, this should solve the problem. (I didn't do it yet, but I'll post the update when I've done it.)

This is unfortunately a bad thing... Some chinese apps are really back, even after flashing and resetting the device. But I could delete them manually. Yeah, it took me a few minutes, but at least, I had (finally) my beloved OxygenOS back! (After I crashed my OP6T almost 2 years ago, I chose a Oppo FindX 2 Pro - and after almost 2 years I still regret to have paid for this phone... The hardware was really cool, but ColorOS is ... So I was really terrified when I learned my brand new [chinese] OP10Pro had ColorOS installed by default..!)

It was pretty straight forward, unroot by uninstalling Magisk. adb into the bootloader and send the adb bootloader lock command, then boom, its locked. It wipes your phone in doing so, so you will have to everything again.

Thanks @Lynxy0
So, just to clarify, after relocking the bootloader (which causes a full wipe) Google Pay works again?
Also, do you know if Netflix installs after relocking the bootloader? (Because in most phones once the bootloader is unlocked the status changes from "L1" and doesn't change back again after locking. Netflix reads that status, and Netflix will only install if it is L1.)
Many thanks
Hi Guys
It seems like a straight forward process, It was all good until I try flash it. . When I loaded the downloaded zip file, I couldn't get the payload file in fastbootd and flash it those buttons are missing(after I load it to payloadDumper .) . I thought it might be file download has some issue. I tried different ones , the same thing.
any ideas?

@Loba74 I think there is an error in your guide, in step 11 maybe it should say "fastboot flashing unlock" rather than "adb flashing unlock" ?
