Jaybird X2 Google Search With Microphone - Nexus 5X Accessories

Does anyone know how to activate a Google command using the Jaybird X2 headphones? My situation is when I'm mowing, I would like to be able to send a text or call someone without having to take my phone out of my pocket and use my sweaty gross hands on the phone. It has the microphone in it but when I push it, it doesn't do anything. Thanks!

I may have found my answer that you have to download some 3rd party apps to possibly get it to work the way I want it. This can be deleted by the mods.

If you have all the google options turned on with the phone you press the center button on the controls to access google.

It does not seem to work and I have all of the options turned on in Google Now.

deactivate Headset Button

with two presses at the headset button you recall the last number
How can i deactivate this function.
If you hear music and put the butten by mistake, that is boring.
Have somebody an idea?
Please, please.
What do you mean with "headset button"?
Such a hardware button does not exist.
TDO
oh ye it does exist? on the cable "hub" of the headset, I've got this problem aswell
carrying a bag arond the shoulder putting pressure on that spot making calls to different people :/
getting tired of coming up with lame excuses for why I'm calling them from out of nowhere!
Should be able to deactive it somehow?
Very annoying indeed. Anyone's got an idea on how to disable this button?

Yes open it up and stick a piece of paper under the electric contact.
I have the same problem.
If you press the answer/hang up button on your headset twice you'll going to do a call to the last called person. I actually made a 3:rd call once by mistake during a call and have BIG problems with be sure that i end phonecalls by using a headset.
This sux. Also, the music player hangs and sometimes the phone if I got an SMS or alarm notification while music is playing. If the music player hangs, I have to re-sync the headset bluetooth devices with the phone. that sux also.
I find this an anoying feature as well. Keeping the whole set in your pocket will most likely lead to an accidental call...
Anyone a solution to this?

...programmatically.
He he what a surprise was when I was walking on a street n listenin to music n suddenly music stopped n I heard "hello hello are you there??"
Yep that sucks but I think there´s no option how to disable it..perhaps only that way what´s written above
Ok, see I'm not the only one with this problem.
The funny thing is that almost nobody uses the functionality, but everybody is annoyed with it
any sollutions yet, I really hate it
grtz
Would love to find a solution for this too
my button is definitely malfunctioning and activating without any button press. until i can deactivate this thing, leaving the headphones plugged means i'll call someone within a few seconds.

Since I lost my headset, I no longer have this problem now
if you press the headset button twice, the system will simply run redial.exe in \windows, so you can disable it by replacing any program with the same name that do nothing.
Mine annoyed me so much I pulled the front off the button and ripped the metal contact bit out. It worked, but isn't ideal.
I now have a wicked pair of Jabra BT3030's bluetooth headphone receiver and I love it. Much better!
i installed Total Commander an simply edited the Redial.exe .. after nearly throwing the phone out of the window..
PS. i know the thread is old but maybe there are still ppl looking for a solution to that problem just like i was ten seconds ago
Same here.
There are other threads about this problem.
Still looking for a solution like, let's say a registry hack that disables the headset button...

SE Xperia X1 headset with Nexus One?

I have Xperia X1 headset from my old phone and want to use it with my Nexus One. However, it doesnt seem to go well with nexus. Whenever I plug it in I hear all garbled music unless I press that call on/off button near mic. I tried using stock music as well as couple of other third party apps including mixzing, but no luck.
Did anyone experience this? If so did you manage to find any fix?
Thank you.

in-line headset mic and button working for anyone?

I could have sworn it was working with one of the ROMs, but I can't figure out which.
I've tried 3rd party apps like headset button controller but that didn't fix anything.

LOL, I was going to post the same question right now , not to be duplicated I'll put here my doubt...
I just buy the XT890 and i'm with him pure without Root nor anything, and I have a doubt regarding the operation of the button to answer calls from the headset. The problem is this, in both Poweramp and PlayerPro has the function of the double-click and triple-click to exchange music, only that in doing so he simply recognizes only the single-click of the button, then it just pauses and plays music, was then I tested the HeadsetButton Controller and other apps like that and only continues the same, the only thing that can be done is to replace the single-click for another function. I used two different headphones, a standard headset of a LG P500 and a standard headset from a Samsung phone and the result was the same. So I wonder if this is a limitation of the device, a limitation of Android Jelly Bean or may be defective from my device.
ps: excuse my english, because it is very bad.
Interesting (and frustrating).
I tried going back to ICS and the in-line mic was still not being recognized...
Looks like I might be looking for a new phone soon

[Q] A few issues

I had some questions maybe someone here can clear up:
1. Volume limit warning. Is there a way to turn this off? I didn't see a feature for it. I use my bluetooth in my car and I turn it to max, but I have to turn it up every time I get in the car.
2. 611, When dialing any Vzw customer service #, The dialer takes you into an app instead. Is there a way to disable this? I don't like the fact that Vzw is so integrated into this phone.
3. Auto launching a website when plugged in to the computer. Is there a way to disable this?
Bonus Question: Streaming "High" from play music still sounds bad: Is this a Moto X thing or google thing? Even when "Keeping" the music, it still sounds pretty terrible. I mean, it's able to be listened to, but It's not near the quality of the music on my USB stick (Which I also downloaded from Google Play)

On number 3. Have you tried streaming at low quality on your mobile data? If so you need to clear the music that has been cached already on the device. And then you need to switch the setting to high quality and that should do it. Cause if you had the "low quality setting" and streamed it before you switched it to "high"... the music cached in low quality already therefore needing to be cleared. You can go to settings while you are on the music app and clear the stored music cached.. Hope it helps..

to turn off the website from popping up, plug the phone in, go to your bottom right notification bar. you will see a little phone looking thing with maybe a motorola logo. right click. go to "when device connects" then click "do nothing"
the volume limit is a known issue in 4.2 and I haven't seen a fix for it besides in custom roms. It may get fixed in 4.3 updated. As for noise quality. try using a different equalized like viper4android. here is a link to a post about it. seems to give better audio quality.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2457564
my .flac files sound pretty decent. I found the Moto X doesn't always do justice to tracks 240kbps or less, as opposed to iphone 5 where they sounded fine.

Toothless control

I just recently bought a brand new moto x off contract. Great phone. This should've been the nexus 5. Anyway, I am having a problem with touchless control. Whenever I wake it up by, ok Google now, and hit the back to cancel. It makes the usual sound but with static. I uninstalled the updates since I can't delete it and downloaded it again. It fixed it. I noticed that with just Google search by tapping and canceling the mic, it doesn't give me this problem. Anyone else have this?

Don't have that kind of problem. But I've noticed something else: the voice recognition is way too sensitive. Not only that I don't have to say "Ok Google Now" - OK is enough, but sometimes it reacts to my other words too.

I also had this problem, but with time, its less and less often. But if you've setup your voice recognition some time ago, you should try it again and wait a couple of weeks to see if the problem is solved.
Never had any static though. Do you have any third party equalizer of something like that? Also check if you have any open background app that can interfere with your audio.
Wow didn't realize topic title till now. Toothless. Lol. Auto correct. The voice recognition is very sensitive. Activated by others talking in public.

Yeah, I was wondering about the 'toothless'
I had a similar issue: Touchless control was activating on ambient noise, or even a loud TV. The key was to re-train the launch phrase in a VERY quiet room. My friend trained his X and there was a barking dog next door while he did it. It activated all-the-time, seemingly out of nowhere.
Once we re-trained carefully, in an extremely quiet environment, it no longer activates un-intentionally.
You might give this a shot! To Re-Train, go to Settings > Touchless Control
