Hi all I've been many year lurker since my galaxy s2.. I've had other phones but have been able to find what I need and stay quiet..
According to this thread page 3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/vivo-xl/development/recovery-t3311601/page3
Someone said they flashed twrp with flashify and it worked fine...
I was wondering if I were to do this do I still go through the bootloop stuff? I already have root via KingRoot and swapped for supersu..
I'm hoping to
Download twrp
Flash with flashify
And be done with it
Is it that easy???
Thanks all

Hey Guys and Gals,
I recently got TWRP on my rooted Verizon LG G2 and I tried to flash cyanogen mod. I thought I had a backup but I didn't. I tried pushing roms via ADB and It worked but regardless of rom, I always get stuck in a boot loop. I have tried EVERYTHING. I've cleared my cache and memory. I downloaded different roms and I downloaded them via download manager. I've been 5 hours nonstop and I can get it The only thing on my phone now is a zip file of cyanogen mod 11 and I can't get it to boot. I'm stuck.. You guys have been so much help in the past and I'm getting discouraged. Thanks in advance.

You say you can push a rom to the phone via ADB, what baseband do you have? 24A or lower? That's gonna decide which roms work for you.
Your other option is to return it to stock using the guide in the General section and start over from scratch.
being that the m8 dev edition phones r getting lollipop update AS I TYPE THIS, I find myself prepping for when we get the update.. I've modified many system files, so I've got the stock odex Rom downloaded and was about to download stock recovery when I realized my laptop is toast and don't have access to Another cpu for quite awhile . I've flashed twrp over the stock recovery with Flashify with no problems, but wondering if flashing stock recovery back over twrp with flashify is any different or if anyone else has done so, and if there's any problems? (yes I know it's always recommended to use fastboot, but I can't, no pc) ... I've used flashify many times, just not putting stock recovery back... Any feedback is much appreciated..

I don't know if it will work but you can give it a try.
You can use alray's DevEd Rom Reset just select stock recovery

Can't use it, I'm on Verizon. Unless there's a stock Rom reset for VZW.. Just wrote the question here because it's a wider audience than the vzw forum, and generally speaking, if it'll work on 1 it should work on the other. Just looking for confirmation to c if anybody's done it before.
I figured that being that when I used flashify 2 flash twrp and it worked n wrote to the correct partition, it SHOULD work the other way around. Just never done it with a stock htc recovery.
Well, not a singlle answer after so many views for days, but thank God it doesn't matter anymore, I was able to force the solution for th issue anyways! Issue resolved, if you have updated to 5.0.2 and have rooted your device before or after causing it to lose WiFi, please check out my solution for this issue here, it may very well prove to be your definitive solution. Thanks!

Installing the 5.0.2 OTA while rooted completely and utterly broke my WiFi. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get Wifi to work again. In the end I gave up, and just did a full factory reset from recovery. My recovery version btw is TWRP 2.8.3, and after installing the ZIP ROM update from the first post of this thread TWRP stayed, I didn't have to install it again. So anyways, I let it boot up and then rebooted back to recovery to root on recovery exit, which caused bootloops for a little while until I used Power+VolDown to go back into recovery and installed the SuperSU 2.45 zip from there. NO MORE PROBLEMS! It's just, PERFECT!!! Finally, no more long waits while booting looking at the logo, no more bootloops, and most importantly: by only using the recovery zips to root and never trying to root from the system or allowing it try to update SuperSU from the Play Store, NO WIFI ISSUES, from the very start all is just perfectly functioning, soooo smooth and really fast! FINALLY!!!!!! Really happy here, so remember, for XT1064 TWRP 2.8.3.0, and SuperSU 2.45 should really do the trick. Good Luck!

And here's the link to the actual thread that has the appropriate 5.0.2 Stock ROM flashable ZIP file:

Hi everyone.
I recently bought a Tmobile S6 [SM-G290T] to replace the S6 edge that I just broke (yes, a sad day).
I bought it from Ebay, and it already has the lastest marshmallow update on it.
I've tried three ways to Sunday, but i cant get TWRP to stick and work on the phone.
I can root the phone with CF auto root, which is better then nothing, but I would like to get a less bloated ROM running on the phone. Im really looking to be able to Install TWRP and SU through install.
Heres what I have tried thus far (using TWRP 2.8 through 3.0):
[1] Fresh install of latest firmware [EPD1]. Install CF auto root, try to flash TWRP though ODIN. Any attempt into recovery shows recovery not seandroid enforced and just sits there at boot /logo screen.
[2] TWRP install, cf auto root, then same thing - stuck
[3] Firmware flash, twrp , then cf-auto root. 0- stuck
**I've also tried booting right into TWRP after the flash as some posts have suggested, saying it gets wiped out and you have to go right in after the odin flash.
Good news is i can get into my stock rom which is rooted.
Any help is much appreciated. My s6 Edge was on 5.11 and i had no problems getting TWRP and cf auto root to play nice and work. Then I'd flash Sick as hell and was a happy user!
Can I down grade my firmware from 6 to 5..11? Would this make it easier.
I don't care if i lose marshmallow over the deal. I just need TWRP and root for my phone.
Thanks so much for any help anyone can provide. You guys are great.

Simple flash 3.0.2.1 idlekernel twrp in odin but the Trick is to Uncheck auto reboot in Odin. Had same issue
Then power off and manually boot into twrp
It wont boot twrp on its own if Odin boots your device after flashing .
Guaranteed to work

idelkernals version of TWRP worked great. Thanks and it wasn't 100% clear that I needed a TWRP that was outside the normal channels (ie via download through TWRP).
Looks great and making my backups now in preparation of ROM flashing.
Happy days! 100% thanks again!
I have the Tmobile SM-N910T on 6.0.1 that I managed to brick. I was not rooted and installed twrp, then the latest
CF-Auto-Root-trltetmo-trltetmo-smn910t.zip to attempt to root it . It is for a version back from me as I was on N910TUVS2EPK2 and it is for EPG2. now this bish wont boot all the way up but I can get it into TWRP and download mode but Im hoping to find a way to fix it without wiping it via a full odin image install lol.
I had a previous Note 4 that broke with the systemless root and that was flaky at best so I really want to full root this bish but not finding any threads to full root it and now stuck with a brick for the moment.
thanks
I dont mind nuking it via odin but if I have to do that I would like to full unroot it at the same time
fixed without nuking it. here is the link I used if anyone has the same issue.

I used Beastmode with system mode root (NOT systemless)
