The lost and stolen removal thing is something you can't talk of here since it's illegal to ask for that here. Fixing your IMEI with your OWN IMEI (printed on the device) is fine since you OWN the thing. Having the Note 5 be Factory Reset Protected AND needing the IMEI cleared from the 'lost and stolen' list just screams of stolen phone.

Help! Locked out of my phone!

Its pretty hopeless but maybe will be able to help me.
I think I tried to unlock my phone with a fingerprint with a finger that wasn't registered. Although I think it was. And the phone just cannpt be unlocked using any of the 3 fingers I was regestered with. It immediately going to the PIN screen, which I don't think I have. It gives me the option to reset with google account, but I cannot do it because I live in China and the VPN is off. Of course I cannot turn it on because I can't go into my phone.
Tried with Android device manager, didn't have my samsung account sync.
Is there any way I could reset it in other way?
If not, If I do factory reset will it erase all the previous settings and just give me to Re-setup my phone?
Thank you all...:crying:

I understand what you mean. But If I was a shoplifter I probably would not need to recover my data or photos. Ill just directly do factory reset.
Samsung here In china is useless. Any way I did already factory reset, Now have differen't problems.
Im very pissed at Samsung that has this insane bug that can just make the phone useless, i've used it with no problems for a week or so, all of the sudden, just lock my out , and Fuking China doesn't have google to help me recover..

Why don't you have your password? You have to type it in twice whenever you set finger prints for your lockscreen
Can't you just reset your google account pw on your pc, then unlock your phone with your google account?
After I got out of a long hot bath, i tried to unlock with my thumb print numerous times unsuccessfully, had to unlock by backup pin, which I had forgotten...thought i was outta luck, but luckily I was able to unlock via my google acct.
Honestly though...i tend to agree with Ambervals6...that's what shoplifters say lol

Actually I don't remember that I had the option to set the PIN. But I always do the same one. Now using MX4 Pro, and it works great, Probably my unit had a huge bug that waited to be exploited..
About google, I've explained, If I was not in China I could have unlocked, but my astrill VPN was not running, and I didn't setup samsung account which apperantly was stupid.
I've already bought the "package disabler" from playstore and disabled all the bloat including this..
Any way, i've got very unlucky, today will bring it to samsung service center.
You can install custom recovery I forgot where it is but you can use adb in the recovery to delete fingerprint and passw files and then any password you type will unlock the phone

Unable to access Note 5
Similar issue; unable to access my Note 5 with biometrics, password or Google account (even after resetting Google password). Absolutely ridiculous! I do, on some attempts, see a message that pops up stating, "bootstrap failed" but unsure if that's related to the issue.
I need help to access my phone asap WITHOUT resetting it!!!

Bypass Android Lockscreen on the Z3 Compact?

Hi everyone
I've got a question, I recently buyed a Z3 Compact from a site similar to ebay but from switzerland. The guy who sold the phone said in the description that the phone was defect and that he didn't remember the password to unlock the phone (the phone was pretty cheap which made me curious, but i bought it anyway)
I'm now a bit worried that I may bought a stolen phone. And so to check, if it's really his phone, I thought maybe there's a way to bypass the lockscreen without wiping the data.
Because as soon as I wipe the phone I might be not able to get in, as I don't have his (or the person who belongs the phone's) gmail adress.
The phone itself has no USB debugging enabled and isn't rooted.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Regards
Marco
So you basically cannot do anything because to do any modifying you need to unlock the bootloader but since unlocking the bootloader wipes data, yeah you are basically stuck.
Is there a chance to 'restore' a part of the data or is the wipe permanent?
Edit: Isn't there a Google Security feature that if you wipe the device you have to first log in with the Google Account which was previously installed on the device, otherwise it won't let you login with your account (it's called Device Protection)?
Just do a bit of "googling" on how to bypass FRP (factory reset protection), I've done that just yesterday on Galaxy J5 and everything worked out. You can easily find a youtube channel of a certain person who made it possible

I have used an universal FRP bypass app and it worked, though there is a Samsung specific one. I think it can be done with Z3C as well, you have nothing to lose anyway since you can't bypass the lockscreen using ADB as ADB debugging is not enabled, and this would be the only choice, as far as I know though.

Samsung note 8 blocked on Google FRP

Hello,
Following a crash, I had to do a factory reset in the recovery of my note 8.
Of course, at boot, he asks me the Google account ID. Sadly, I do not have them anymore (email address deleted since). I tried my old ID: it does not work ...
Will a flash of rom stock via odin reset the frp? Or should it go before by an "adb frp tool", then flash a "combination firmware", before reflash the rom stock?
I have already tried all methods of bypass frp before 10/10/18 (sms class 0, bluetooth headset, samsung keyboard settings...)
(I am in N950FXXS5CRJ1 of 01/10/18, oreo 8.0). I'm french.
With proof of purchase, your carrier or samsung service will help you, that's it, WITH PROOF OF PURCHASE

You know when people come in here talking about needing to get the FRP security lock off and then going on to say their gmail account is magically gone or deleted it automatically makes us think the phone is stolen!! People don't just randomly delete their gmail account nor do they forget their password so easily! If it truly is your phone take it to the carrier I.E. "at&t, Verizon etc etc." Because they will be able to easily recover the phone for you quickly!!

Personally I don't buy it.
If you deleted your Google account, you would have been signed out across the board, you need to be signed in to a Google account for FRP to be enabled...
If you are a thief or a 'finders keepers' you will agree FRP is a great feature. Must suck holding this great phone and not be able to use it.

Personally I think it's stolen just by the way he worded that and saying that the gmail account was deleted isn't sitting with me right because then the phone would literally nag the crap out of him saying stuff like the play store can't work, gmail can't work and most importantly as you said FRP can't work without the email.. I'm betting it's stolen.
One time, I went to my carrier service center to activate volte calls, while I was waiting for my turn, an old lady ahead of me explained to the employee her case, that her device was locked, that she had no idea what email or anything else, as her grandson was the one that took care af all those things, she only used the phone to make calls an send sms, the employee said that it was ok, all she needed to do was to provide a proof of purchase, or the contract, and an ID, that was it, she did, and problem quickly solved, so, anybody asking for some way to bypass frp, is obviously trying to unlock an illegal obtained device, period.

That's why I don't even try to help someone who comes along claiming that they magically forgot/lost their gmail account and password information. When he said he deleted the gmail account a while back the first thing that came to my mind was well without a gmail account you can't exactly do much with the phone because everything is going to be nagging you, Google, Play Store, Gmail, Google Services, maps and many other things and FRP can't lock without the gmail account so how could you possibly get FRP locked out.. You could by lying and stealing a phone and claiming it's yours..
Yeah, absolutely right
I certainly understand the views on going to a service center. But no. Not everyone with this problem is trying to cheat with a stolen phone. I just bought a very nice Note 8 (SM-N950U1) for $200 off eBay (from an individual with a 100% record) only to find it is FRP locked and I doubt she knew. Just did a factory reset and sell. So now I have to pay $50 at a service center and with the drive, it will take me about two hours. So some of us do have a legitimate reason to want to do a FRP unlock ourselves. Hopefully, the seller will rebate me the $50 so I don't have to send it back and start my long search for this model, in this condition for what i can afford all over again. Just say'in. Well glad I have XDA forums to let me know my position. - So thanks - Jim

Thanks for the suggestion, is a tutorial delivered when you purchase? How exactly does it work? I would like to know a bit more first since it looks kinda sketchy and I'm not sure why they can provide an frp unlock while there's nothing public?
its just 20 USD so i tried. I recieved a unlock code based on my imei within 24 hours. Then i pluged in the device, run the PC program and entered the FRP unlock code and afte reboot it worked. I unlocked this way the phone and work since then with no problems.

Intersting, thanks a ton, I'll see if I can fix it by myself and if not I'll try that service.
I am making frp bypasses since years in my repair shop and this was the first time i have to pay for it. Beside that i managed all devices to get frp bypass by some exploits, backdoors etc.

I had some phones too, that I found some tutorials that worked. Whats irritating me is that there are a ton of those "Send IMEI to receive your unlock key" sites, but I can't seem to find the tool to create them or the list that's used for them. Quite weird since I would guess the method should be published somewhere if there are so many bad looking amateurish sites using the same method.
They keep it secret, because they making money.
I can frp unlock almost every device besides p30 for now... They will shure figure a workaround, but i needed it for my customer and the p30 was with lastest security patch.

What new solutions? Just pay 20 usd and unlock it.
We need free solutions??
Do we? Just use google search maybe is there a new frp unlocking method.
Do they send you a program for unlocking the phone after you purchase it?
just a code. And beacaouse I know how to do it, i unlocked it by myself. But I think on their website there is a link for the program.
I see. Thanks for the reply. I bought the code and I don’t see there is a link for the program on their website. Are you able to send me the program please?
Just managed to remove FRP from P30 Pro, cost: 0 €/$/£ ?
1. Downgrade to 9.1.0.185Q (use usb otg and memory stick and create dload to root and put files there)
2. After flashing, do a factory reset and then boot to safe mode.
3. Now reset settings, connect to wlan and reboot
4. Voilà

You "found" a Samsung A71 that isn't yours? Lol yeah you just triggered it's Factory Reset Protection, you won't be able to use it without knowing the original PIN or Google account.
no method to use the phone again?
No, it can only be unlocked by the original owner
Its need to be some method to hack this protection ,with program or ??
There isn't. And even if there was, such programs are forbidden to be discussed in XDA.

Yeah, sadly there are ways to go around FRP.
Usually it involves opening the keyboard settings and triggering webview from the 3rd party licensing disclaimer ... then a somewhat longer trip depending on the OS that finally brings you to the main Settings app where you can remove other Google account and do whatever.
FRP in Android is kinda a flop, in the end the only thing that it manages to protect is your account.
Some of these FRP and Webview security holes have been fixed by Google with A9 and A10, but many still remain in OEM custom android OSs.
I myself had to do this in many occasions for old folk that don't remember their passwords/pins (password recovery not an option) and want to give the phone to someone else. Never did it for a "found" phone tough.
