Bootloader error, Remote:Command not allowed! - Huawei P9 Plus Questions & Answers

Sorry for disturbing. Solved.
Hi everyone,
I am very very trying to unlock the bootloader to flash TWRP but it says remote:Command not allowed.
Why can it be? I have bootlader code also.
Thanks.

I think this has to do with the setting 'enable OEM unlock' in developer settings..... if that is off, it won't let you proceed. Switch it to on and try.... It worked for me although I gave up in the end with the whole process as I nearly bricked the phone. The instructions for unlocking the bootloader, rooting and debranding are really not easy to understand for the basic knowledge person!

If you have previously activated finger print or other types of lock, the unlock step won't work, you will need to factory reset the phone and unlock when the phone is "fresh"

[Q] Rooting Moto X

Ok so sorry if this has already been posted but I can't find anything. This is my first attempt at rooting. I am trying to root my 2014 Moto x. I am on US cellular so I believe the model is XT1093. Not sure though as this seems to be missing from settings in lollipop. I tried a root tutorial for xt1097 but did not work. There is no OEM unlock setting in my Developer options. I think I have to unlock my bootloader through Motorola but havn't been successful.. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Andrew
I've got the same problem here I think it's a US Cellular problem with what they eliminated from lollipop but I can't be sure looking everywhere but can't find any answers. I wish we could get some help with this though would love to unlock and root this thing.
Yea, I think your right about it being a US Cellular thing. No one else seems to have the problem and US Cellular is a unique model number (XT1093 vs 1095 or 1097). Iv tried to unlock the bootlader through motos web cite which should work but I'm having some difficulties. I entered the info from my device, it said it was able to be unlocked and gave me the unlock key. but when I entered the key I got an error. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or they are.. Still working on it..

What command are you using to unlock your bootloader with the key? And what error are you getting?
I've tried the unlock method from Motorola. It all works until it prompts you to check the box in developing. options that says unlock oem functions. On the 1093 in lollipop the dev. option is not there. Also tried the tool kit in this forum that is made for non pure phones... It works great... even tells you your phone is unlocked but it doesn't finish. What I mean is it doesn't reboot your phone and the phone is still locked. Really frustrating ? Any help or ideas are very welcome. PLEASE HELP!
Is there a way to root the phone without unlocking? Cause if we could... We could try a different rom and see if from there we could find the unlock box in the developer options.

There's no such thing as "Unlock/ Unlock OEM functions" in developer options, in any ROM, ever.
Just found this.. Apparently Nexus 6 & 9 have this additional step to unlock the bootloader. I didn't have to do this while unlocking my device whilst on lollipop. So I'm gonna assume it's possible to unlock the bootloader on your device if this option is missing from the Developer Options..
Follow the procedure on motorola's website to unlock the bootloader and report back with the error you see on the online tool, or the actual device.
P.S - voids your warranty, unless you have a dev device
It doesn't give an error per say... It tells you to go to dev options and check the box or click on the option to unlock oem. Of course it's not there so the program will not execute the unlock. It says waiting for device....

how to unlock frp??

Hi everyone, After flashing various roms, kernels and recoveries etc... My frp now shows locked when in fastboot mode. As a result i cant hardly use adb+fastboot commands. OEM Unlock is not on in dev options and is greyed out. USB debugging is switched on and i can access the phone through hi-suite and file manager. My BootLoader is Unlocked. So how do i unlock frp??? i cant do factory reset because it only goes to eRecovery. Please can someone help???
Me again, i cant believe no one has come across the same problem.??!!?? is there a programi can use apart from dc-unlocker to change frp from locked to unlocked?? that is free?? please help..
RESULT! I FIXED IT BY MYSELF. IT GOT TO THE POINT WHERE I DOWNLOADED DC-UNLOCKER AND PURCHASED THE CREDITS NEEDED. BUT I NEVER HAD TO USE IT. AFTER HAVING THOUGHT, RESEARCHED AND TRIED EVERYTHING POSSIBLE, I TRIED SOMETHING JUST ON THE OFF CHANCE!! IT ONLY BLOODY WORKED!!!
I'VE SEEN SO MANY POSTS ABOUT BLOADER UNLOCKED AND FRP LOCKED AND NOT ONCE HAVE I READ A SOLUTION! HECK, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON REPLIED TO MY POST!
ANYWAY IF YOU TOO HAVE THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM SEND ME A PM AND I WILL REVEAL THE METHOD. BUT KNOW THIS SEEING AS LOADS OF PEOPLE PAY DC-UNLOCKER AND FUNKY HUAWEI ETC, I THINK IT ONLY FAIR THAT I WILL ASK FOR A SMALL CONTRIBUTION. NO PC/LAPTOP OR SOFTWARE NEEDED. HAVE A HAPPY DAY FELLOW HONOR FRIENDS

Purchased Used P20 Pro with unlocked bootloader

Hi all,
I've purchased a used P20 Pro from a friend which has an unlocked bootloader and has been previously rooted. I normally keep my phones stock so I want to lock relock the bootloader (I have the code) but despite trying to follow various guides I have been unsuccessful.
Would anyone be able to guide me through the process of relocking the bootloader please?
The main reason I like to keep stock is manufacture updates etc and I don't have the knowledge to maintain a rooted phone.

I don't believe that an unlocked bootloader will prevent you from getting updates. As far as I know the only difference is the warning you get when you boot that "you can't trust the phone."
IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
Don't know if there is another way but of you have fastboot and adb you can do it:
1. Make sure developer options are enabled
2. Connect your phone to the computer using USB cable.
3. Open a command window and type 'adb boot bootloader'
4. Once the device has booted into the bootloader mode type 'fastboot oem lock'
This WILL ERASE all your user data and you will have to configure everything from scratch. You will need the unlock code if you ever want to unlock it again so make sure you don't loose it.

I've been reading for hours now about how to unlock the Nokia 8 TA-1012 bootloader, now that Nokia's official method is defunct.
Can someone clarify if this service, which seems to be reasonably priced, will lead to me having the actual unlock.key for keeps and, more importantly, will this enable me to unlock critical?

Thanks for taking the time to reply! I'm trying to do this for a relative, so I don't want to screw up along the way. Is there ANY downside to not having the unlock key once the phone is critical unlocked? I'm not planning to relock it or anything, I'm just overwhelmed with the whole Treble thing and making sure I don't miss anything.

I've been real busy since I asked about the whole thing but I was planning to follow that exact guide. It unlocks critical, right? From there I install Treble and Custom ROM and theoretically, if it somehow bricks (seen a few people being unlucky) critical unlock will enable me to unbrick?

Hello, in my case in December 2021 it was the first time I tried it and it went well, you have to strictly follow the instructions (make sure before you start that you have the correct connection with the PC in my case with W10-64b, the telephone connected, recognized, with ADB mode and "Unlock bootloader" activated and the ADB environment and tools running on the PC) and be patient since unlocking the bootloader with the Unlock Tool has 2 stages (the second I think I remember is the "critical unlock") so you have to let it go to the end. Once the bootloader is unlocked, when you restart the phone you will get a message that will always appear when you restart it, warning you that the bootloader is unlocked. Beware that by doing so the phone will be reset to factory settings and all user data will be lost so make sure to make a backup before. At the end of the unlock process you will also be asked if you want to donate through PayPal any amount of money voluntarily to the developers of the Unlock tool/techmesto. In short, the key is to read the instructions very well and follow them exactly. After the unlocking of the bootloader and the installation of the Treble you can now put any custom ROM. I hope the whole process goes well for you.

Thank you very much for the detailed advice. If I can bother you for one more thing, there's multiple Treble threads/guides on here and some seem (!) outdated or conflicting. Could you maybe point me to one guide/thread you recommend? I have the Nokia 8 TA-1012 here.
I've flashed and rooted maybe half a dozen phones over the years while always just lurking and reading here but in this case, it seems so much riskier and complicated, so I appreciate any and all advice.

Question System has been destroyed & bootloader locked because of DSU Loader installing

Hi Guys
Need your assistance, its a complete mess here.
I found android 14 pre releases in developer options -> DSU Loader -> Installed GSM+ARM64. Thought it will install android 14 pre release (Saw in one of youtube video -
).
Post restart phone it went to system has been destoryed.
1. OEM unlock option was not checked (Bootloader locked)
2. Only booting in fastboot mode.
3. Flashing through EDL/ Flash Auth not working.
I can only think of unlocking bootloader may fix this issue but problem is bootloader is locked. Can't unlock it because oem unlock is not enabled under developer options.
Please help me bypass OEM unlock check so that I can unlock bootloader & probably flashing TWRP or Orange recovery will fix the problem
Thank you
This tutorial is for those who have the bootloader unlocked (see the video at 3 minutes 38, the padlock is open).
What did you want to do?
The phone is bricked, nothing to do with the locked bootloader, see a Xiaomi repair center.
Hi
I missed that it is for unlocked bootloader.
So if bootloader is locked, it should not update the partitions & if so it should roll back to original miui if it fails.
But instead it bricked my phone.
So if someone can help me unlock bootloader I can try flashing recovery & then rom.
Or suggest better option. service center people asked to replace motherboard.
hi!
If there is any way to fix it, unfortunately it is paid.

It is imperative to unlock the bootloader with a xiaomi account where unlocking is authorized and associated with your smartphone. Without it, not worth it...
So unlock the bootloader and apply one of those countless FAQs that you'll find on XDA or youtube.
For me, settled in an hour.
Good luck,
