Hi Everyone,
I've not needed to come to this group in a long time but my wife turned of knox enterprise on her Samsung S6 and when it rebooted it was just stuck. I rebooted to recovery mode and found the dm-verity verification failed. Now I've found the stock firmware for phone and I could do a full factory restore but all of her work is on this phone plus our children's photos of the last two years. Since its the bootloader (BL_G920AUCU1AOE2_CL4823236_QB4834510_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5) could I just flash that? I can't ADB into the phone I've tried many times and the devices show nothing. After we get the photos off with everything else then I could do a factory reset.
Thank you, Jason Nulph
So I found the solution
Hi Everyone,
I found the solution, I decided to flash the bootloader with BL_G920AUCU1AOE2_CL4823236_QB4834510_REV02_user_l ow_ship.tar.md5 and rebooted and that didn't work. So I decided to do it again because I read somewhere (and I really don't remember because I did so much reading) go to options in Odin 3.10.6 and pick Phone EFS Clear. I did that and shut the phone down and it booted into the OS.
Now Dm-verification failed is still there but I don't care because I was able to back up all her photos to our google drive 100BG $1.99 a month and she is one happy gal. I rebooted it again and its hung and won't boot into the OS.

My S6 edge is in a bootloop. I put off the 5.1.1 OTA for a while when my wifi would not turn on. Rebooted, still didnt work. I decided to do the update. installation went great but now its in a boot loop. I flashed the firmware (BOG7) using Odin. It worked. The phone was back on again but then it shut off after a few hours.
Its been stuck in the bootloop again. I flashed BOG7 again. Ive Flashed BOG9. Ive flashed the stock PIT. Ive tried ADB sideload. Smartswitch and Kies do not recognize the device. Of course, Ive wiped cache and factory reset. Attempted booting in safemode. All flashes were successful but when it reboots, It says "erasing" and goes to bootloop (Samsung powered by android).... Drivers are installed and working. MTP is not installed and I cant find the file.
Please .
same problem
I'm having the same problem with boot loop on g925v stock. I'm wondering if the op or anyone else can help!
No mater what I do, phone reboots after almost exactly 1min9 sec. Just enough time to select a language, but not get past the next "activation" screen.
Background: Phone has never been rooted, at first was on og5 and started freezing on the verizon logo, so I factory data reset, and after that nothing has really changed. knox has not been tripped, frp not tripped
First I tried flashing og5 with odin,
(of course checked md5, and odin=pass, then after flashing, I always tried several combinations of booting to recovery for wipe cache partition/ factory reset / and also power down by holding volume down and power button, then select boot in safe mode)
Then tried flashing og7, still boot loop
then tried flashing og9, 3 times, again, also many attempts of factory data reset/ wipe cache partition / safe mode.
I am starting to think this may be a hardware problem, BUT unfortunately I do not have samsung warranty available on this phone so I am pretty much stuck messing with it.
In researching the issue, I have run across quite a few similar freeze/boot loop problems all over the web, and never any real solutions, for both g925v, g920v, and other s6 models. I've also seen a stock s6 g920v that freezes randomly, flashing stock og9 never helped, owner was planning to replace the battery and see if that helps (I have not heard back).
I've tried looking at the boot log but I'm no expert. I know I can't downgrade, but I'm wondering if there is anything I can do with adb, or any other bootloaders that I could try flashing over the og9 (even if just temporarily, assuming I will flash stock og9 again after).
Thanks for any encouragement, help or advice.
I finally gave up on my GS6 Edge because upon carefully taking it apart for the 3rd time I noticed physical damage up by the wifi receiver and SIM card slot. My advice would be to try the things I tried (above) and, if it's not a hardware issue, it may fix the problem. Good luck.

Phone has been in the ****ter for the past day. Stuck on boot loop. I tried flashing the most recent stock firmware. It would not do it and kept throwing auth failed signs at me. I tried other stock firmwares for tmobile with no sucess. I Tried throwing them on my sdcard and installing through there in TWRP, but I keep getting md5 auth failures. I have wiped, factory reset, and cleaned house many times. Nothing works. Im at my wits end. Someone please help
I'm a guest to this forum..but same thing happened to me about 5 days ago. Last thing I remember seeing is the 5. update trying to take place and I was just about OUT of Internal memory (with NO microSD card). Phone just kept rebooting. I was able to do a Factory Wipe (Both in the OS and in the Recovery Mode)....Neither worked even though they appeared to be successful. Phone just came back with ALL of my data still intact. The other weird thing...I had about 60 seconds before phone decided to reboot each time. During those 60 seconds I was able to delete files, pictures, etc. to save space. As soon as the phone rebooted those same files were back! Very frustrating. Still having the issue.
im not sure what states either of you guys are in, but you can look on craigslist for people that do flashing. you make need to do a odin rebuild because the partitions are ****ed.
you can repair it yourself but with pure caution.
Have you tried flashing in download mode with your computer through ODIN? If twrp doesn't work, that's what I go to next.
You could also try flashing the firmware without the MD5 file and I believe twrp will skip the check. (not positive on this one)
Figured it out on my own. Flashed CF autoroot. Then flashed 5.1.1 which is the most up to date firmware. Im not sure if the issue was because I was doing 5.1.0 and didnt realize that was the most UTD version, or if CF to 5.1.1 was the trigger. Either way, it worked.
Hi, i'm kinda new to all of this, so literally any help is appreciated.
I recently rooted my S6, and managed to get it stuck in a boot loop on the Samsung screen, with the logo in the centre, slowly fading from light to dark repeatedly.
This happened when i accidentally logged out of my snapchat, causing it to detect my device was rooted and wouldn't let me log back in. I got around this by updating my superSU and disabling it as i logged into my snapchat. Once i was back into my snapchat i went to re enable superSU, but it failed the reinstall and prompted me to reboot, so i did, then ended up getting stuck at the boot screen for the past 3 hours.
I don't know if what i tried was right, or even helped or made the problem worse.
I have tried reinstalling the custom kernel, re flashing the superSU through recovery, using ODIN to flash the original OS but each time i tried it failed, i might be using the wrong firmware, not sure, but i have a SG920F and installed the firmware for that, but it failed when doing so. I also never had the chance to create a back up as my phone didn't have enough storage to do so... It's at the point where im happy to factory reset im just not sure what to do.
I'm genuinely sad that i messed this up, and managed to brick my phone already. If anyone can help please reply to this...
Thanks.

I think it should be fixable. Firmware should be available at sammobile.com

Ah! Didn't know this! Thanks, will download it now and use odin to get it back on my phone, will update here if it works or not!
Hi guys! I've been looking for help in the site all day now and I've decided to ask for more specific help.
I have a Note5 SM-N920l, I bought it online, I believe it's Korean. It's factory unlocked or international, something like that. And was running the Android Nougat 7.
I successfully rooted it and also installed Magisk. It was working great but while trying to get Pokemon Go to work, another story, I tried switching different settings and I turned off the OEM unlock. From what I understand (I am a noob) that has to do with the FRP. I had turned it on to be able to flash stuff onto the phone and I turned it off again and I forgot to turn it on... and I turned off my phone.
I was stuck in the booting screen with the red letters on top that read "Custom binary blocked by FRP lock". I tried booting into my custom recovery but FRP doesn't allow that. I can get into Download mode but when I try to flash things in ODIN the FRP block comes up and doesn't allow anything. (Tried to flash the firmware)
After trying to flash some things I am stuck with a blue screen that says "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software." I downloaded said software and it can't find my S/N. So it has not helped me either. I also downloaded Kies but it is stuck in "Connecting".
I don't know what else to do. I don't mind losing all the data and personal files in my phone, I'd like to know if there is a way to factory reset it or wipe it or remove the FRP. I am desperate, this is my only phone and I really need it. I'd appreciate any help I can get.
Hello all before I describe my issue lemme tell you how I got there.
First of all, new phone, couldn't install pixelexperience and flashing stock android was being a pain with all methods (read not working), only managed to install stock android with pitch black recovery.
After a while it auto updated to android 9 and I started having wifi issues that people told me were android's fault so I waited for an update. Update came but android was unable to install it, giving errors after errors every time it downloaded the update.
My solution to all of this was to flash another rom, either stock or custom, and pray it works. It was scheduled to happen in 2 days, when I had free time.
Today, when trying to change the permission for a text file for an app from read only to write, some random process crashed, and it triggered a crashing cascade, including the settings app, homescreen launcher, etc until the phone restarted and got stuck in TWRP logo screen.
No key press, combination, resets, etc would fix it. So I got into fastboot and tried a few things with no luck. Flash stock rom again and phone seemed to be working.
Magisk manager couldn't install magisk and root the phone so I went into stock recovery/twrp and every time I did it I got a black screen message saying something like this:
"Your phone/system is corrupt and won't boot ever again *evil laugh*. Oh btw, go to this link in another device to cry more"
and the link redirects to a google page with some non-useful info.
So here I am, unable to root, unable to go into recovery, phone boots though. I force-stoped updates for a while, as android 9 wifi issues were terrible, and I don't know how to proceed.
Do I flash a stock image again, a custom one, try another rooting method?
I don't want to brick a 6month old phone, really sucks.
Btw, is there a reliable way to back up everything in the phone ?(not only google stuff, but app configs and files/folders) Long time ago I read something about Titanium backup but never looked into it further and now with this crash that lost me everything I wanna prepare for the future.
Thanks for all the help and for reading my boring story.
Even I am facing same problem.. In my case my phone is rooted and I cnt flash TWRP and I cnt get into fastboot mode.. I alwys endup with black screen..
