Now that's interesting. I'll keep that in mind. "SEE MR/MRS TSA???? THE BATTERY SYMBOL IS GREEEEEN!!!" "No stewardess... I do not need to comply.... My battery symbol is green-behold!" "Naw man, don't trip, it's green though..."
I'm gonna get so much mileage off of this...

Been seeing that all over the place..my question is
Isnt that like a quick mod to have the battery to disclose green through rooting and what now? I think some ppl are easily gonna deceive others if they would like.
What do you think?

Is this just for the T-Mobile variant? I just for my replacement on Sprint today and I don't have any of that green battery stuff?

You'll get that with the new software update.

With the great mind, I'm sure is possible with root.
My question is wouldnt u rather have a piece of mind or something will kaboom?

For me, this green battery will probably make me go elsewhere since I like to run black and white and honestly that would drive me nuts. . I don't believe you can remove the battery icon in settings, only the percentage. See what happens here on XDA I guess. Shouldn't be too difficult to change with root.

[Q] cannot see my black icons at mediagallery

Hi,
I have a simple but very annoying problem.
My mediagallery backround is black. So I cannot see my black icons. But to change the dock icons from launcher pro I have to go via mediagallery- I do not have the option to use my file explorer- and than I have to play memory (a german parlor game where you have to find pairs of matching cards. But all cards are hidden/ the picture is turned down and you have to remind where the other one lays- I don't know if that game is very common outside europe...)
Either there is a way to change the mediagallery backround or to use my file explorer to choose the images. With desktop visualizer I can choose mediagallery or file explorer...
Any help is appreciated...
I have this issue as well and can only see them by doing a zoom in gesture

no, doesn't work for me...
Just press the menu button and then hit details, you will see the name of your icon, then press the back button and choose your icon, try to have only the amount of icons you require for your dock and that's all.
I hope this info can help you guys.

I have a motorola xt720- I guess it had two kinds of gallerys right from the start- I am not sure if I know mix things up- but I deleted one. Maybe you are talking fro that one...
Well, i was talking about the hardware button, I think every phone has one Or not?
Well, I will recommend o you to use AndExplorer in that case.
Good luck!

Stock Android 2.3.1 (which Nexus S) uses doesn't have that.
PS. Is it really necessary to write in bold/red/italics? Man it was annoying having to edit the quote to remove all that.
my work around is to stick the Power Control widget on a screen of my choice
it's included with stock Android
but there is no option to attach it to the status screen

Yeah, that's what I thought
to above user, i loove to use different fonts/color/size.
well, i was looking for the powercontrol for the statusbar, as the statusbar is accesible everywhere, when desktop is not, as i recall

Again, CM has the setting to change the colors and the items in the status bar power widget
Widgetsoid does a great job at a power control widget and it is free.
http://www.appbrain.com/app/widgetsoid2-x/com.jim2
I've missed this from my Galaxy S too, but the best work around I've found is Quick Settings - search on appbrain (cant post links as I'm 'new') and configure it to display in the notification shade, but to hide the icon in the notification bar.
If there is another solution to properly get buttons as on the Galaxy S ROMs (other than the often suggested - "flash CM7") I'd love to hear of it though. I know the notification shade can't be edited by a simple .apk, but this isn't the first time I've seen this request and would have thought it really ought to be possible somehow without delving into the deepest darkest recesses of the android system -but of course I am probably wrong

Carrier Logo in upper left status bar?

Hi all. I was wonder if there was an app or mod that would allow me to put my carriers logo(Verizon) or an image in the upper left corner of my status bar? As you can see from my screen shot, I have my black, red and white theme going and I would love to either add the Verizon logo or a Beats by Dre logo in the upper corner to complete it for my liking. (*That side is to bare for me...lol.*) So if anyone could provide me any feedback or direction to start looking in, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!
BTW...I'm running the Eclipse2.2 rom with the Fury-X theme by Dubsx if that helps any.

You will most likely be hard pressed to find one. The top left of that bar is reserved for open task icons, and notifications like new messages, emails, missed calls, etc.

Actually it's being done/worked on on the SGSII. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1560862 and on the NS4G here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1281339
I was just wondering if any of the Bionic dev's knew how to do this or could provide me a starting point. (I'm no where near a developer, but I do know how to do different mods, etc..when giving proper instructions.) I will continue to watch that thread and see if it becomes a universal thing. Thanks for the reply though.
You can try out Phono in the market till someone comes up with a mod to have it permanently.

I attached Screenshots to show how it looks, mind you I'm on sprint though, but it reads your Carrier from your device information

Doubts from a GS4 user :)

Hi guys,
My Galaxy S4 just "died" and I decided that I'm over paying big bucks for high end smartphones when today's smatphones are just as capable. So I've bought a second generation Moto 4G but I have some doubts:
- When I press the ON/OFF button to turn off the phone it only shows me "phone off" or something like this...on my GS4 it used to let me choose from "phone off", "airplane mode" and "restart". Can this button be configured to act like this?
- On my GS4 the notification bar was just awesome. I pulled it down and I could instantly turn on/off the WI-FI, 4G, set the phone to only vibrate, set the phone to airplane mode, set the display's brightness to low during the ninght. Can I configure the notification bar to act like this?
- When the battery is charging the notification bar doesn't show the percentage. Can this be changed?
1) No, you'll need to use custom ROM or Xposed in order to do that. It is not customizable by default on Lollipop.
2) Yeah, just pull down again once you're in the notifications area. You can also pull the status bar down with two fingers at the same time, that will also open the quick settings.
3) The battery percentage can be found on the Quick Settings part of the notification shade, which you can access by using the methods I pointed out above. The battery percentage also shows up on your lockscreen while charging, right next to the icon.
If you wish to have the battery percentage shown at the status bar at ALL times, download Battery Percent Enabler from Play Store. It does not require root or anything else.
Hope I helped.
Do you have KitKat ot lollipop.
Using xposed you could.
Use two finger and xposed
Use xposed.
I cannot see the "set phone to vibrate" anywhere here. I don't want to have to install a custom rom to do something as basic as the stuff I've described. If it comes to it I may install apps that can do what I'm looking for but this stuff is so basic that installing a rom is just pure overkill.

This is the GS4's taskbar. Not only you can have those functions I've mentioned above but as you can see you can choose a bunch of other functions
Just click on the bell in the upper left corner and the phone will change to vibration mode.
For tweaks in the notification area you can root your phone and follow the hints of my preposters.
But there are a lot of apps in the playstore to rearrange or change the notification bar, most of them need root privileges but not all of them. HereĀ“s an example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.notificationToggle&hl=de
And as you see by the vibration mode, some features are not visible at the first glance, every phone is different and you may find some things by just using it.

App switcher bug & Poorly designed navigation bar?

I've been using the Mate 20 for the past 24hours, being first time Huawei/EMUI user, there are some weird experiences going on.
1. Bug - App switcher:
Open recent apps, I'm not able to switch apps by clicking the partially visible adjacent apps (will go to home screen)
The only way to switch apps is by scrolling to the desired app and make sure it shows at the middle of the screen, then click it.
2. Navigation Bar Experience - EMUI? Android 9? :
The navigation keys' positioning is kinda bad. The icons are too packed at the middle of the screen, instead they should be placed more evenly, and the clickable areas should be widen. (I drawn an image below to better explain this)
I'm not sure this is an EMUI thing or Android Pie thing? How to make a suggestion to Huawei?

It's controlled by Huawei, btw it's shifted like that because there's a "rotate" button that appears on the nav bar when you tilt your phone and auto rotate is off, you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWOp1b-5thQ

I see. But that is rarely used. It shouldn't affect the main navigation keys that are the basic function of a phone.
