I am on my Stock ROM 2.3.6 (ROOTED)
Heard that next thing after rooting is to flash CWM , and i googled for it for hours and read few versions have error and few don't
can someone help me out with the best version of CWM which is to be flashed on my SGM .and what is to be done after flashing CWM ....
Help pleaseeeeeeeeeeee .................
Go to "xda playground" thread in mini general section.. some one has posted a link to download cwm.. download it,put in your sd card,go to stock recovery and flash the zip.. you will have cwm recovery installed in your mobile..
Then try any of the roms from galaxy mini android development section,download it and install it using cwm recovery.. installation procedure will be there on each rom thread

Download the file CWM 5.2.0.8 directly to my SGM and flash ?
Errr ..... Read somewhere that CWM must be flashed using ODIN [PC]
As am newbie I am bit confused and scared .....
I just have a rooted SGM running GB-2.3.6, no CWM nothing I have on my Mini .....
So please make it clear is it safe to directly download CWM 5.2.0.8 to my phone and flash it ?
Use odin to flash cwm.. go to the link and follow the instructions..

You can flash CWM with Stock Recovery. I have done it before.

Ya flash via stock recovery is possible.. even i have mentioned it.. but let him use odin,as there are many guides teaching how to flash cwm via odin are available..

Well the main question is that what do you feel more comfortable, CWM or ODIN?

About CWM, you can flash from either ODIN or Stock Recovery. There's no differences in the result.

Then just go to recovery mode, update zip from SD card and hit the CwM file!

hey guys
i was trying to instal cm 13 rom on my moto g 2014( xt1068). i followed every method ...but rom was not installed and phone did not boot up ...so when i wentback to recovery mode and tried to back up my data nd saw that i hv made back up in my internal storage which is now gone...so plz help me how can i get my os back or should i try to install another rom...plz help ...i dnot know wat to do...
Restore your mobile to lollipop stock
just copy the rom like cm to ur memory card or usb otg then just install from twrp recovery

i m trying but this is not happening ...after installation, phone is not booting up ...just showing "warning bootloader unlocked" thats it...please tell me where i m wrong ... m using older version of twrp recovery .....and my phone is dual sim ....

Hi im using the Galaxy Ace S5830L, i try to install one Custom ROM, first of all i need to say that i didnt use the computer at all because the Usb Port of my Ace is broken, i charging battery from a universal charger, well i installed the CWM 5.0.2.6 after doing the wipes, well the i try to install the Rom and it shown me at error message (E: error in /sdcard/cm-11-20150912-UNOFFICIAL-cooper.zip (Status 0)). Well i keep reading in the forum and i found that maybe de cwm was the problem i install the version 6.something and i get the same result i dowgrade to v5.0 and try to restore the backup i did before and nothing. My ace is stuck in the Model screen. I try to wipe everithing, even format /system /data /cache. Im a fool :'( :crying::crying::crying::crying:
Sorry guys for the inconvenience, and for my bad english pls can you help this poor noob :'( i wanna rescue my ace and of course i read about using the Odin thing but as i said my usb port dont work pls someone can help me ill very thankful.

Hello, i m using miui7 kitkat rom with extended partition which is 1.2 gb (system space), and mow i want to flash latest version of miui9 MM ROM which i have already downloaded, some one plz tell me can i directly flash that zip file via TWRP recovery or first need to go stock partition ?? Plz help me, thanks in advance
Do not know really, but I suggest you to flash once Marshmallow firmware with miflash.

my problem is simple , i've flashed twrp on a moto g2 titan and its working but when i tried to flash a rom the twrp dont show sdcard, its like have no sdcard
i tried otg but the same problem...
