Viber application text size issue - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
I just got my N920c and everything seems perfect with it, except one little annoying thing. The input text of the Viber application is way too small, even though I change the font size in setting to medium it looks small compared to the already sent as a message. If I do increase thru the settings to huge it gets to the decent size though everything else like, call log, settings has a giant font. It is annoying on my end that on such a big screen I can barely see what I am typing in. Note that the input text size for other applications is completely fine whatsup, text messages etc. I wanted to attach the screenhoot so you have the ideea but the site does not allow me since I am quite new.
Curious if anyone else experiencing the same thing or that's just me. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE: Below is the half of the link to the screenshot, just add www at the very beginning.

Guys, anyone? Just trying to understand if that is only on my device or something global

Changing the Size of the Visible Input Area when writing an SMS

It appears that the amount of space i.e one line, when inputing an sms is very small, can hardly see what ur typing at times, is there anyway to increase the area allowed for creating a text??
also iv noticed that due to the keyboard that pops up when writing an sms, when u start writing u cant see whats your entering because the keyboard is in the way, you need to minimise then maximise the keyboard to sort this.
anyone know of a fix?

Text Message Software

I was curious if there was an alternative to the default text messaging software. The main reason I don't like it is that it is a little plain. So if you know of any it would be great if you could point me to it with a link or just give me a name. I have done some searching but could not find anything.
Thanks,
Bob Hoil
Hey, There is something that is similar, but a little bit nicer (has smileys, and stuff), but still a little plain looking. It's called Shogunmark? if i remember correctly :S
I really like Birdsoft's Extreme Text
This is not the actual company's website, it is down for some reason, but you can still download a trial from this site and even buy it from this site.
If you have pictures loaded for your contacts it shows them, and it also threads your sms and will even allow for hyperlinks to be clicked on. I only have WM6 and it works great for threading your conversations all without messing up your inbox or anything. All this program does is just reference your inbox and merely just groups your conversations by contact in nice looking app for you. You can install and uninstall without it messing up your messagin settings or losing any sms cuz its a stand alone program that just merely looks at your inbox and references it as I said before. Only downside is if someone sends a MMS, all you will see in the program is the message they sent with the pic/video. You woiuld then have to go into your actual message inbox to look at the pic/video.
try pocketcm
Extreme Text works well, looks good

I use Extreme Text also, and really like it. It looks nicer, and it types smoother - there is no lag in landscape mode from keypress to display, as there seems to be in the standard message app, in my experience. And it integrates fine with the standard message app - you can use them interchangeably.
Thanks for all of the posts and suggestions I will be sure to check them out. If anyone knows of anymore I can try out it would be great if you could post them.
Thanks,

Txt Msg software
You can also use iMov messenger....very convenient and simple
I like sms-Chat by Vito, But you have to have the most recent version, Version 1.10 has a bug and you can't see your text as you type in landscape... Version 1.15 should fix that bug..

Text Display Doesn't Work Right

I have tried searching the forums, but can't find anything about it. When I get a text sometimes and try to reply, the display where the words are showing up that I'm typing is smaller than usual. If I type more than one line, I can't see what I'm typing (and don't know if I'm making mistakes).
I think it usually only happens when I'm replying, though I have noticed it happening during normally opening up the texts. Sorry I'm not as descriptive, I have been using a tilt for about 8 months now (2 separate ones) and haven't really found a rhyme or rhythm to it yet. Is there a fix for this or anybody know what's happening?
Thanks for anything.
I haven't run into this myself at all. Are you speaking of the size of the text input box, or the font size of the text you're typing, or both? What programs do you have installed? Have you tried a soft-reset?
It's happened with every WM6 program I've run, as much as I can remember - ever since the I've had the stringed text messaging. WM6, WM6.1, Dutty's Rom, Laurenitis' rom (did I spell that correctly?).
I've done soft resets as well. I wasn't sure if it was a common thing that I just couldn't find searching. Anybody else run into this?
Sorry, it's the text input box that's the problem and I currently have the official wm6.1 installed. I've got a # of other programs installed:
AE Buttons Plus
Google Maps
MusicID
Opera
Pandora
psShutXP
Skyfire
SlingPlayer mobile
S2u2
I also use gullum diamond keys
If you go to Control Panel, System>Screen, there is an option to set system wide font size. Try increase that.
I have the same problem. It's as if the text input box at the bottom of the threaded SMS 'hides' behind the bar at the bottom where the softkeys are, so you can only see about 40% of the box. Very annoying if you're typing more than one line.
I've tried changing the font size, which doesn't help.
Changing the orientation of the screen doesn't help.
Ending the "SMS/MMS" application and starting it again doesn't help.
A soft reset sometimes helps, but not often.

i've experienced the problem you are describing on some of the recent HyperDragon ROMs by SJ...make no mistake about it, HyperDragon is an EXCELLENT series of ROMs.
for me, ending the sms/mms application and then starting it up again ALWAYS works everytime i've experienced the issue
...and i think it is caused by rapidly closing the hardware keyboard shut (which causes the screen orientation to begin switching back to portrait) right after typing a text reply in a thread and hitting send followed by pressing the hardware OK button (to close the thread and return to the inbox)...threads you open afterwards will then show this "shortened" reply input field. i'm not certain about the above scenario but i think i was doing some or all of those steps in some order just before experiencing the issue whenever i have experienced the issue.

Swipe for Voice and Numeric - unreliable?

heya,
NB: Replace the text "REPLACE" with http and www, and the text "REPLACE2" with just http. As a sidenote, if a mod sees this, can they please verify my account - getting annoying not being able to post links...lol. Thanks.
I'm on Froyo 2.2 (well, the test image that's out) on a Nexus One.
I read about the new swipe for number bad feature here:
REPLACE.androidcentral.com/froyo-feature-better-stock-android-keyboard
However, it seems intermittently unrealiable on mine, particularly when I use it in Messaging. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Has anybody else noticed that? Any tips to get it to always trigger?
Also, I read that in 2.1 you could trigger voice input by swiping left-to-right.
REPLACE.androidcentral.com/quick-tip-swipe-keyboard-bring-voice-input-21
I can't seem to get this working in 2.2 at all (and I've never used 2.1). Has anybody else got this working? If so, any particular tips I could check? (I've tried both having the Mic button on main keyboard and symbols keyboard, neither made a difference).
Other people seem to report something similar, just not sure if this is verified, or how common the issue is?

I do find the Android keyboard a little weird and inaccurate, probably just still getting used to it (only day 3).

Victor

i have already done this bro...its already on largest..but no benefit.
There's a shareware program called PhonEx that solves your problem.
You can customize the font size for the caller ID.
Visit the official site for more information:

Good luck.
