OK so I'm having a weird issue here. whenever I use now on tap and try to share a screenshot through text, I always get "Unable to attach file" in my texting app and I cannot send it. I can take screenshots and send them perfectly fine , however just not when I use the feature through now on tap. everything is stock. using stock messenger. also, it worked on my note 7 prior to getting it replaced due to the recall. any ideas ?

This may help some of you out and maybe not but wanted to share to help out.
I had MMS/Picture Messaging problem (Error in Server Response) with Obsidian v2 & v4.2 ULF until I followed steps below:
This fixed it perfectly for me:
Go to your main menu settings.
Than Applications, Next Manage Applications, than Running Applications.
Click on "Messaging", Click "Clear Data"
Exit back to main screen.
Now open messaging.
Go to messaging settings by hitting the menu button on the phone.
While in messaging settings page, hit the phones menu button again,
only one option appears to "Restore Default Settings".
Click it & exit.
Now try to send a MMS/picture message. Worked like a charm for me.
Hope it helps some of you all out.

Your welcome. When I had the issue I kept seeing other posts about the issue with no real fix solutions offered. Some one suggested to type a 1 in front of your contacts to get it to work but I thought their had to be a better way if my SMS worked just fine. So I explored further and this worked perfectly for me.
Thinking problem is from lag fix conversion process or from flashing between 2.2 ROMS. But was easy fix either way now that I know.
Thought it might help other 2.2 ROMS as well with similar issues.

I also briefly tried telling the phone to connect automatically to a preferred network when I explored fixing the issue on my phone. So other people could try that as well if still no luck with the above method. I'm just glad if ti fixes some peoples MMS problems mainly Obsidian ROM since that's what I'm running.
If does not work with Eugenes or others...well that why I put in CAPS "POTENTIAL FIX" lol
Nope... it doesn't work. Putting a 1 in front of the phone number does work.

I am running Obesidian V5 Beta btw. But i had this same problem in Obesidan V4.2
Tried to send another mms and it didn't work anymore. Went back and repeat your setting steps again and it still didn't work. Thanks for the effort. It was fun getting that one mms to send.
Export your contacts to your sim card, and you might show double contacts, but use the one on your sim, and BAMM , it will send without a hitch.
This POTENTIAL FIX did not fix after all permanently. Problem appeared again. Tried and still no luck. Going to look into further. If something else comes to mind will share again. At least it was a glimmer of hope to have it work normally even if briefly without a "workaround" approach.
Same mms problem here. Mms seems to work when using wifi calling app though. Obisdian 5

Spoke too soon. I stopped working for me as well, and I cannot make another go thru. Darn!!!
Didn't work for me but I found that using another sms app like chomp worked for some reason. Kind of a hassle but it worked.

Anyone get Tango to work? I tried to install from maket. It downloads fine and then errors on install. Been trying to find an app that works between this tablet and a computer. Any one have any ideas if this one doesn't work? We already got screwed on the Skype beta front.
If I didn't see the potential in the hardware of the grab, I'd return it. So far, VS has really dropped the ball. Stock has no flash or video conferencing. Both on the box.. lol I'll stick it out and hope for the best I guess.
I've had no luck finding a usable video chat app. There's a separate thread for this.

Im running vegan b4 and i did a titanium backup on my increddible and then put the backup on my gtab, just apps and app data not system. Ike i said it works but the video of yourself is sideways ut besides that works great.
I mentioned in a previous thread, video calling works better with the gsensor fix. Video chat works fine with yahoo messenger atleast, and is not sideways like it was before the gsensor fix. Maybe it works better with tango.
just tried tango on my droid works awesome never knew much of the app, will give it a shot on my g tablet when i get home its running vegan beta 5 will post if it works.

Just a quick side note. If you plan on pulling it from Titanium you wont find it by searching 'Tango', you need to look for the 3 'sgiggle' files to move and restore.
I have it on my tab now but am not in a place to test. I got it to dial out, it was still sideways and died pretty quickly. I'm not too familiar with it so I'm sure it's an error on my part but I'll keep plugging away.
I can confirm Yahoo messanger with the video chat plugin works on VEGAn beta 5 orientation is fine thanks to the gsensor fix. I finally got a chance to test with someone. I don't know if it was just me or not since I only tried once, but after a minute or two I got errors but was able to hit wait and it kept going fine. Eventually I was unable to bring up menus to even exit the chat. Not even to my home screen. Had to reboot to get out of it.
Its a working option for the time being and works from android to computers. So, great option if the closing issues can be fixed.
a lot of people say they got tango to work with video showing sideways.. i see that on my screen but the person i am tangoing with just sees a blank screen... and when i hit the switch camera button it just alerts them that i am switching cameras and stays there..

I installed mine from the apk from my droid popped it in dropbox and than installed it that way, installed fine just cuts out when i try pulling up the video feed.
Hi. My gf took an Xperia Z1(stock 4.2.2) and she can't receive pictures via NFC. She can send without a problem but she can not receive. Every time i try to send her a picture from my Galaxy S4 she is asked if she would like to open the program with Google Play store, and accepting this leads to a Play store search for "directsharemanager" which is listed as unavailable. Doesn't the Z1 support file receiving? I tried also to send her a youtube link and it worked, but pictures not. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you!
I ran into the same issue with my boss trying to send me a picture with his S3 to my Nexus 4. The problem was that he had "S Beam" enabled which only works with other compatible Samsung phones. Ticked it off in the settings and worked like a charm. Check if you have it enabled and try it out.

Found a really strange thing.
I sent a picture from the stock message app ( also on t-mobile) . when I delete the picture from the gallery, it deletes the picture from the camera folder, but then adds the picture into a picture folder.
I have tried deleting the picture folder, but it keeps coming back and duplicating the images. I have tried this on all 3 of our Note 5's and it does it to all of them.
I have not been able to find a setting to turn this off, or a reason why it does it.
Anyone else know about this ?
Noticed that too, seems that itll create a separate folder with all the picture messages you send via text
Yeah, this is annoying. It's really one of the only gripes I have about the phone that I can't figure out. I don't want to use another gallery app and I don't want to root. Not sure how to fix it.

You just need to look at the camera album instead of using the time view.
That doesn't work.
Is this happening to anyone else or just some people?
I cannot send or receive pictures or gifs in the stock messaging app or Google Messenger. I am able to send and receive thru my Google Voice app though. I've switched from the Stable Global MIUI9 ROM to the Developer ROM and back, but still having issues. I have applied for and been granted permission to unlock and flash will Mi Flash Tool, but I would like to avoid that of possible. Anyone else had this issue? Please let me know if you have, or have not had an issue like this. Thanks in advance.

Alright...sending it back today. Randomness of various stupid faults and errors seem to point to a hardware issue so we'll see when the replacement shows up...
