Launcher

hey all, I'm using the official but rooted 2.1 Eclair ROM, and i was previously using the latest 4.x Froyd Froyo rom, now i loved the launcher pro style launcher on there it was pretty awesome. Now my question is, can i replace the launcher on 2.1 but keep Sense UI? as in something like launcherpro but keeping sense
I've asked the question before on theming the launcher/ navbar but never got a response, as a themed navbar would better suit my needs! thanks in advance

I'll try and explain in a little more detail. I LOVE how the launcher pro, ADW launcher etc, changes the look of the stock HTC Sense UI navbar, but i want to keep sense, whereas launcher pro etc removes it completely.
So im asking for a way to change the look of the sense launcher/ navbar, for example theming it, ive come across a transparent navbar, but thats not exactly what i was looking for

Well if you look under the theming section there are a lot of themes for FroydVillain. I know Ganii has ported a hell of a lot of themes and among those there's one called "BlackMod" which looks a lot like Sense The only downside is that you will lose your Sense widgets but there are seriously to many upsides of FroYo to think about that

Creating: UI or Theme or Rom?

Ok, I have a question regarding these 3, I've created UI's for the iphone and yes it took a long time but it was done, I've done Themes for the iphone as well. But, how would I create a theme, Rom, or UI for the android's? I see this UI called Kite UI and love the way it looks. I have similar idea with the colors for the iphone but would love to create something for the android.
Is there a template of a UI I can follow. I used the Matte UI for the iphone to create my own and it came out really good. Which would be better to create a Rom, theme or UI.

I agree completely. I'm trying to form one using ADWLauncher, however it's just not quite right.
Please, somebody make this a theme so we can easily apply it thru themechooser for CM7.

IOS7 CM10.1 Theme?

Was wondering if there was any devs out there willing to create an ios7 theme for cm10/10.1, i can't be the only one thinking that this would be an great idea, can i?

Just stop with those kind of answers. Android is also about being able to make it look like as you want. Why the hell when someone asks something with iOS in his sentence does people need to bash ?

I honestly wasnt looking for an arguement, i just really like the look of iOS 7 but i prefer android because of the the stuff you can do with it e.g. halo, pie, custom launchers not to mention the amount of themes for cyanogenmod

Agreed. It's just a personal preference. Sometimes I like having my phone look like Sense, or even TouchWiz. I just see iOS 7 as another skin I'd like to try. Besides, how fun is it when someone says they think their iPhone "looks better" and you can whip out your phone and apply an iOS theme in 5 seconds. "Oh, you mean like that?"

I love the new iOS look! To be honest my first thought was "it looks like a phone for a 5 year old" but after looking some more I fell in love with the new UI. :good:

Ios 7 is great. Why does anyone make this theme?

guys... if ios7 is so great looking, why apple plans on changing the way it looks before releasing it to the public?

Apple wants to get feedback from developers/the public for ios7 before they release the final version, so basically there just fixing bugs and polishing it before the final ios7 is released

My setup.
Holoshade theme chooser + ios7 flat icons + minimal text and circle battery widget. Love it.

My Setup:
Custom Rom: Miui V5
Theme: IPhone iOS7 Translated
Applications: Control Center
Fleksy (Beta)
This is my iOS7 setup you can also use the latest version (3.0.1) of ilauncher in the playstore a launcher althought it is still bit buggy (at least for me)

Same here, that is why this thread was created. But sadly im not a dev, thats why im hoping that a dev will create an iOS7 theme for CM10.1

Whouldn't it be nice to have a rom with full iOS7 UI ? Can someone make a mod or even a ROM with the UI from iOS7 ? ( we all should admit that the iOS UI is really beautiful )

Isn't there a theme for Apex or Nova or the like? And personally... I prefer Android

First of all: It's just a design and UI-design question. Many users are used to that UI and prefer it. I like some ideas of the iPhone, some dont, so i personaly got a mix of iPhone and Android design.
How to get an (almost) full iPhone UI:
1. Download a launcher of your choice in the app store. Search for "iOS 7 Launcher". Try more than one, most of them are free.
2. Download Apps like "Hi Music" or "Compass (iOS7)". You won't get a iPhone feeling without the "real" apps.
3. Download Apps/Tweaks that give you further capabilities a launcher can't achieve; like the ControlCenter. Search for that in the App Store as well.
Of cause, there are some Roms which incude all this, but its so much easier if you just install a launcher(and KitKat 4.4, because its the smoothest and you can use your own SMS app).
[ For the Devs among us: there is a gooPhone version with a tegra3, so if you have too much free time, feel free to port ]
