Has anyone updated to 20o was it worth the trouble or just stay at 20i for the time being?

I have not get any update yet !!! Is the ota conformed ???

Yes download KDZ and flash it LGUP. search for it..

How would I downgrade from H811 20o to H811 20i?

I just simply need to know if this is possible. There's such a wide array of custom ROMs available for version 20i when compared to version 20o and I want to try some of them out without ruining my system.
That is, unless I can run 20i ROMs on 20o.
I just need to know what my options are in this situation. Any help is very much appreciated!!!!

No you cannot go back to 20i once your are on 20o the rollback version numbers are differennt

you stuck in there till if new update maybe nougat who knows.. 20o its antirollback V3 and 20i and 10n LP are V2... since its new itll take sometimes for roms to pick up.

Upgrading from lollipop

So currently i am on lollipop 5.1 10n stock rooted rom with twrp recovery. So how exactly do i go about upgrading to marshmellow with root/ twrp etc? Im not new to android rooting or anything, but definetly havent had to do this before haha, any help is appreciated thanks!

well my way would be upgrade using LGUP and 20i KDZ LP and 10n are antirollback V2..20o its v3 so you cant go to 20o and downgrade only if you stay on 20i and then go back to 10nLP...
heres intructions for KDZ 20i and unlock preocedure.. youll need minimal adb.. unless you have sdk studio..

i didnt make myself clear LOL don upgrade to 20o unless you want to get stuck its 0in there...as is antirollback version V3.. so 20i and 10n are V2 you can upgrade or downgrade as long as you stay on MM20i or LP 10n doing so 20o will brick phone if try to downgrade....
when you connect phone make sure you tick allow connection on screen and another option for adb.. then you are all set

not sure, i heard smoother and maybe a little better on battery. and supposely security patch...
but youll be stuck there.. until if someone can make bypass antiroll back or untill if nougat hits G4.

Update to 20o from rooted 20i

Hello. I have a rooted, bootloader unlocked and twrp installed lg g4 h811 20i. I want to know if i can use the official ota method to upgrade to 20o safely? Will it cause bootloop or brick? Coz my phone is rooted.
Do i need to flash stock unrooted kdz and then upgrade or i can just use the ota method safely?

from 20i to 20o ota or dirty flash will give you camera problems and no sound.... the best way is ...
download 20o KDZ then use LGUP. using the refurbished option so it wipes everything.. once you are on 20o then preoceed to.... install twrp and root.... there a guide in the rom seccion.. also flashing 20o will put you on antirollback V3 so you cant downgrade or youll brick phone... if you want freddom to go from LP to MM stay on 20i MM and could downgrade to 10n LP.

Right. So is there anything new in 20o or should i just stick to 20i until nougat comes out. I have no intention to roll back btw.

I really dont know LG says security patches... and some people report better battery and smoother ui.. its your call..

I think ill wait for nougat or an update which fixes this huge ram consumption.
Btw is there any way to set the grid of the lg g4 default launcher to 3x4? I cant seem to find the settings for it.

Getting to 20p from 20i?

Installing LG Bridge right now
I'm rooted on 20i, do I have to pdate to 20o and then 20p? Can I just skip right to it? Then how do I get TWRP/Root?

I recommend to use LGUP and download 20p kdz. No need to go to 20o.
Note 20o and w0p are v3 antirollback so you cant downgradeto no lower then 20o..
Using LGUP once kdz file its unzipped . find it using upgrade option. Once selected 20p file close LGUP the select refurbished and flash .
I recommend turbos drakonis.rom
