KINGROOT deleted vital components and apps - Blu Vivo XL

Hey,
TL;DR KINGROOT deleted vital apps and components on Vivo XL, what do I do?
So I wanted to root my Vivo XL so I could delete bloatware.
Used KINGROOT, which worked. It said it didn't work, rebooted my phone and I had root. I used KINGROOT to delete most Google apps plus Opera browser, nothing vital. It actually froze them and I proceeded to delete them with Link2SD.
I reboot my phone and it's slow idk why I'm assuming it's the Chinese KINGROOT doing shady things to my phone. I then reboot my phone several minutes later after doing idk what and I'm greeted with a bug that carefree launcher is experiencing an error.
I freak out a little then use the task switch button, see that I had Play Store open, switch to it and install nova launcher.
All seems good but all of a sudden many apps don't work. Puffin, Gmail, Waze all crash on opening. I look with Link2SD and I realize apps that came with the phone are missing.
I try to switch to Super SU using several methods, none worked and I am not rooted now.
I believe I can root again using KINGROOT. But before I try that again I wanted to ask you folks: what should I do?

Forgot to mention, I cannot install apk files, I cannot uninstall apps, the apps section in settings isn't functioning properly. I can only install and delete through the Play Store

flash it

Do this:

Titanium Backup Pro (CM7 Stable) not in app drawer

I'm coming from autnooter 3.0 to CM7. After successfully installing CM7 and Gapps, I went into the market and downloaded my paid Titanium Backup Pro app. It downloaded fine, but it is NOT in the app drawer.
I went into manage applications and it is showing that it is there, but obviously i can't launch the program.
do i need to do something special to get this to show up in my app drawer? Do I need to check allow non-market apps or something and then reboot?
would love to restore a lot of my apps from my e-clair ROM.
I didn't have that problem and I followed the same upgrade path that you did.
One thing I would suggest is going to the market/my apps and see if TB is 'installed' there. If it is, when you click on it, it will give you the option to open it. Try that.
On my old auto-nooter installs, I noticed that some apps didn't appear until reboot, others had to be manually moved to system/apps with root explorer.
I am totally loving CM7 and haven't had any serious problems at all. Using Aldiko to read my epubs works great.
Yes, I did try to "open" it from the market and yes it says its "installed" in the market as well.
the "open" button in the market is "greyed out", meaning i cannot press it. I will try a reboot when I get home and will also d/l root explorer and try moving it that way.
The other thing is, and this I don't know, is The Pro just a key? So you have to install the free version as well? A lot of 'pro' apps work that way.
you may be right. Did you d/l the free version first? then the "key" (aka PRO)?
do you remember?
I'm still just using the free version. This is what I used to restore my apps after the CM7 upgrade. The downside to the free version (I think) is that the files are restored 1 by 1.
Yes, you need to install the free version from market, at which point it should recognize you have a pro key. Then, just reload TB (by pushing the menu button when in TB, then "reload application"...or just reboot) and it should use your pro key just fine. I've done this several times in the past with no issues.

[Q] Rooted and can't delete stock apps

I just rooted the Exhibit 4G with root-stock leaving the stock rom in place. Root shows as successful. I have tried to delete a couple of stock apps - Tel Nav (which is no longer supported) and TMobile TV. I have tried doing this with several different root app uninstall apps including ES File Explorer and DU Speed as well as two specifically root uninstall apps. All have asked for SuperUser access. Either it comes up as Uninstall Failed or it says it will delete updates and leave the original app for use. Both apps are still on the phone - and seem to be without updates as they both start as if new.
What am I doing wrong? I want to free up internal phone memory. Please help. Any guidance appreciated.
I was able to get it to work with Titanium Backup. Now all seems fine.

[Q] Google play and Launcher problems in Rooted KF HD

Hello,
I have a Kindle Fire HD 7” from 2012 using Android 7.5.1. After lots of troubles with the ADB drivers I finally got it rooted. Now I’m ready to do cool stuff! The problem is that most things don’t work.
FYI I hace ES Explorer with Root explorer ON and ROM Toolbox Lite.
I would be grateful if you could help me in these issues:
Issue 1: Google play services has stopped working.
Back in 2012 I installed all the google apks following instructions from one of the threads in the forum. Some time ago I started to get the message “Google play services has stopped working”. That’s when I rooted the kindle.
Once rooted, I uninstalled all, downloaded again all apk and reinstalled with google play services version 7.0.99. Same results. Reading forums, sites, watching videos, I tried many ways. I even created the folder and dummy apks i read about in a thread in this forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/kin...google-play-services-7-3-28-stopping-t3086528). Still no results. The services dont’ update, I still have 7.0.99 but still does not work. I suspect it is some issue related to the android version... I don’t know...
Issue 2: Custom Launcher
I’m sick of the lame amazon launcher, I tried to install a custom launcher (downloading the apk from apk downloades site). I install the apk but the open button is greyed and I can’t open it. Also, It does not appear on my app library. I tried with Go Launcher EX, hola Launcher, Nova launcher... All the same. I can see them in the app manager (in Settings) so they are installed. I also read threads about this issue and tried moving the apk from /data/app to system/app but even with root explorer ON and RW permission enabled in /system, ES explorer can’t paste the apk there.
So, even I have the most Ironclad version of android or I am useless ant this. Can anybody help me please?
so i'll try my best to help you out on this.
Issue 1: i believe that for whatever, google play and amazon just don't work well even with root, when i rooted my kindle first time i got the google play store but eventually got the same thing you did the whole "google play services has stopped working". So i had to uninstall all of google play and then reinstall to where i just had the android market(If you don't know the market is it's just like a downgraded google play store) but for whatever reasons, it agrees with amazon more then the actual google play store and doesn't crash any.
In short your solution for issue 1 is either uninstall all of google play and only install what you need to have the android market, or go about using a custom rom, like the official cyanogenmod rom, or the unofficial Omnirom and Candy5 rom, as i've never had any sort of google play store trouble with any of those, excluding candy5 as i'm currently flashing that as i type this to try it out.
Issue 2: So this could be one of 2 things.
First off, after you installed the apks, did you reboot your kindle? Yea it's really simple but if you don't reboot the apks don't intialize which could be why you can't access them in the app library. Secondly, i read somewhere on one of the XDA threads about one of Amazons OTA updates making it difficult to install customs launchers, i had a lot of trouble with go launcher ex which is mainly why i finally decided to just flash a custom rom.
In short your solution for issue 2 is to try installing the apks, and then reboot the kindle, see if that maybe initializes them. Or it could be Amazon just locking down harder on its device, which if it is that, you could probaly find some sort of work around, but you'd probably be better off with a custom rom, although if you're a fan of the kindles stock set up try Kinology.
Hope i've helped!

Have you tried re flashing twrp ? You can use flashify or rashr from play store to flash the .IMG file
As far as system apps and bloat, I've also had issues removing them. When I use ROM toolbox pro's app manager, a lot of times the app will still be on the list of apps installed even after I've clicked uninstall. But usually the apps are gone once I reboot
I use /system/ app mover *root* from the play store. I covert the system apps to user apps and then uninstall them.
It also shows that in the latest update it might recognize sytemless root.

Why do you convert to user apps first? Could that be the reason why they aren't being removed? Due to some type of broken operation of an app that was meant to be system only?

I do that because I keep some of the apps and also because I haven't had any problems uninstalling apps that way. converting them to user apps also gives me the option to move them to the SD card.
I remember when I used "system app remover(root),"it would still show the app in the app drawer(even after reboot) and when I pressed on them they would say "unfortunately ...has stopped"
I used titanium backup to get rid of all the apps i didnt want, afterwords i went into TWRP and wiped the dalvik cache/ART cache and it rebuild upon first reboot, and all the apps i uninstalled were gone.try this method and let us know.

Uninstalling bloat apps not working

Hey all!
I am absolutely new to the rooting world (last time I used a rooted phone was circa 2009/2010) so please bare with me, I am have a world of trouble with getting the bloatware apps uninstalled from my phone. HTC u11, I installed twrp, I installed magisk, I tried to uninstall the apps, no dice, I then grabbed one of the apps out there for removing system apps, I gave it root, it failed.
I'm hoping to get to the linux subsystem to see if I can get a jdk running on this. I'm trying to make a dev box I can use while hiking (all with a microphone and finger tracking keyboard). But the first pebble becomes a stumbling block. How to actually get root and act as an elevated user in android.
Anyways I think I'm missing something and maybe I missed a piece in the documentation since I did kinda fly through it.
There are a few ways to remove bloatware.
You can delete them in TWRP.
You can delete them with a root capable file explorer.
You can delete them with Titanium Backup.
You can delete them with an app that's been made for the purpose.
If one of the above doesn't work, try another.
You can also pseudo-debloat by using a Magisk module that simply systemlessly "removes" them. They'll still be there, taking up space, but you won't be able to access them in any way (until the module is uninstalled). I don't think this is what you want...
Doing it in TWRP should always work.
With MagiskSU, I've personally tested it with both a root file explorer (FX) and TiBu. But, YMMV...
Purpose made apps might or might not work. It depends if they're properly updated or not.
