I updated to CM 13 build 13.0-20161003 from previous version now my headphone jack is dead. Please help. Considering miui eu can idea should I move to it? I guess its more stable than CM13? I do love stock android feel
Maybe you should read in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/development/rom-cyanogenmod-13-0-xiaomi-mi-5-t3457752 .
At moment CM13 was using official kernel . And dev still working to fix headphone audio routing . http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68966268&postcount=456 .
Terribly sorry to bump this thread, but I am not (yet) allowed to post in the cm13 thread and I have just noticed on my 20161106-nightly that the audio jack won't work with a simple audio 3.5-to-3.5 jack (to connect to a hi-fi, or a car audio system for instance). Headphones with a built-in mic/remote do work perfectly however, those with 3 rings on the jack.
Now I do remember seeing this mentioned somewhere here, but can't find the post anymore after searching quite a bit..
Anyone else (still) having such issue with the latest cm3 builds? I haven't installed anything crazy other than regular Play Store apps and haven't tweaked the phone much. No Xposed or stuff like that.
Cheers!

Hi everyone,
As most of you nexus one users know, when in a call the sound from the handset is not loud at all. I have to use the headset that came with the phone in order to listen to the other person on the line loud enough.
So I was wondering if there's a hack or a code that I can push or do via ADB or some other form that will boost the audio up a bit so I don't have trouble listening to people when in a call.
P.S. I'm pretty comfortable with my ROM and stock kernel so that's why I'm asking of another way other than a new rom or kernel.
same here. I've been looking all around for something, would really like a 91 ROM with audio boost but I haven't really found anything yet.
currently on Geo411m's.
If anyone knows of a stockish 91 ROM with an audio built in please post.
i can hear on mine fine, but to answer your question im not aware of something you can modify, i think i remember seeing a mod that makes the audio from the music player louder though.
however when i am using sipdroid the audio is just a little bit too quiet and i dont think it uses the noise cancelling mic for some reason
Thanks for the reply guys.
But yes, I've been looking for this and all I could find is a tweaked Kernel but it has many other tweaks that i find unesessary for me, that's why i'm looking for the audio mod only.
I'll keep looking, if I find something I'll edit my first post.
I couldn't stand it anymore and loaded intersect's 2.6.34 with audio. so far no problems, which amazes me considering the problems I had with frf50 and this kernel.
The only way to do this is through a kernel patch.
IR's kernel and pershoots have them for sure. I think there's some others too.
AFAIK, nobody has patched a stock 91 kernel for the public yet, but maybe someone can.
I was just wondering if anyone else was having problems with a bluetooth headset using Cyanogenmod 10.1? The call quality while using the handset is great, but when I use my bluetooth (Jawbone Era, Motorola Sliver Elite) the call quality is absolutely terrible, the person can't even hear what I'm saying.
I say Cyanogenmod because that's my favorite rom, but it also happens on AOKP, PAC, ParanoidAndroid, and pretty much every other Vanilla type Rom.
Any help or suggestions?
The same problem with Jawbone Era. All works fine in Samsung stock 4.1.2 ROM.
Yep. I have this problem, too.
Bummer, as I'm writing a Bluetooth headphone round-up for a magazine this month, and I can't review call quality without borrowing a friend's phone.
Known Issue
Hey guys the bluetooth isssue your speaking of is a VERY well known issue in CM its one of the few bugs that is still being ironed out. Its also present in basically every other aosp type rom because they are all based on CM. The awesome cyanogen devs are working on it constantly and im sure they will get it figured out :good:
So if you here any reference of an "upstream" issue in a ROM thread its most likely referring to it being an issue in CM and therefore the ROM in question. :good:
Bluetooth car connections drops and really bad audio quality when on call.

Hi everyone, I have used PARANOIDANDROID in the past for Samsung Note and had a great experience using it. Just installed the PARANOIDANDROID on my new HTC one.
I am having two issues that are forcing me to go back to a stock rom,.
1st) Bluetooth connection with car, when calling the audio quality is really bad. The person on the other end cannot understand what I am saying.
2nd) when on a call with a headphone /w mic and connected to my Mac, the mass storage keeps going on and off. This affects the audio quality of the phone call.
All other issues that have been reported here I am OK to way for, but the BlueTooth issue forced me to look for a stock ROM for now.
I hope the great the people working on these Rom ( Paranoidandroid and Cyanogenmod ) can fix these issues quickly.
no bluetooth for voip apps
I've tested CM on note I and II, the same issue shows up, I cannot use bluetooth with voip apps. Same goes for 10.2. Too bad
Since I can't post directly to the ROM thread, thought I'd post here.
Installed the ROM and the ringtone audio fix. All is working swimmingly on the device.
Re-paired the phone to my JVC head unit in my car. When playing back audio via Bluetooth, any audio streams are playing back at what seems to be 1/2 the frequency, therefore the pitch is shifted upwards- basically a chipmunk effect. This is happening with ANY audio stream to the head unit- music, TTS output, google maps voice prompts, video playback.
I deleted and re-paired devices. Wiped Dalvik cache and the cache mount. Still the same problem.
Any ideas? Is this a generic cyanogenmod bug that crops up? No problems like this with CyanVivo 10.1 4.2.2.
Thanks!

It's caused by audio fix. You can replace audio.a2dp.default.so with the one from Stable #4 and you'll have correct audio playback back =)

A huge thanks to you both- I've done the replace, haven't tested it yet but hopefully this'll do it!
UPDATE - tested and working as normal after replacing the file mentioned by theQwertiest- thanks again!
Hello World
Hi, guys.
Saw this post about bluetooth in CyanVivo10.2.
I was using 10.1 with BT headset and everything was almost fine.
Then i decided to move to 10.2 stable 4 and when i tried to check BT headset i have found some extreme cracking noise when listening some audio. So i check my BT headset with other phones but all was fine with it. Trick with switching files doesn't work at all (even with 1.5x speed cracking noise is still present).
In order to find a solution i checked other versions of szezso's 10.2 (stable 4,5) and noticed that this "cracking noise" is not so noticeable in Troj80's version (stable 3) of this rom. The solution of this problem was found in CyanVivo X where this noise was absent. As i understand the trouble lies in A2DP and Bluetooth files.
Update:Checked VivoKat 4.4 for this noise in BT headset and I haven't found it there.
Maybe someone who are more skillful has some ideas of this trouble?
Question to Szezso:
Is it possible to insert files from CVX to CV10.2 and will it work ?
Can someone comment on the bluetooth audio quality on OmniROM 4.4.2? I tested it today and, to my ears, it sounds much worse than 4.3 (either CM or Omni).
I tried searching around but there were conflicting opinions. So I'd like to know what people around here think.
I too feel that audio quality over Bluetooth was better a few weeks ago.
There were one or two builds where it got really bad but it's OK now but not as good as it once was.
It may have been the use of GravityBox which I used for two or three nightlies before canning it again but I'm not sure.
I use Omni on a Sony Xperia Z so this is only in regards to this phone.
I'm now sure that the audio quality over bluetooth is worse than it was a few weeks ago.
Today I flashed CM11 to compare BT audio quality and on CM it was so much better (like it was on Omni when I started using it).
On Omni there is almost no bass at all and highs are a bit distorted whereas on CM audio over bluetooth (Xperia Z with Sony SBH20) sounds almost identical to directly plugged in headphones.
Don't know about Sony but on oppo the problem was using too old blobs which derped the ACDB setup.
So this can be really a device specific issue
Unfortunately this depends on the device maintainer to
1) test and confirm it
2) try to fix it
I dont know what the maintainer situation for the Z is at the moment

humberto is coming up to speed, but the Z isn't particularly well maintained right now. Doesn't help that I can't even FIND mine at the moment... I'm not sure where it went.
Most of the Z guys are trying to solve the camcorder issues properly. (I don't like Thomas' approach, there's got to be a cleaner solution esp. since all third-party cam apps work OK...)

If it is a blobs issue, can anyone comment on the I9300 (Galaxy S3) and bluetooth audio?
I have newly installed yatour box with bluetooth receiver on my car and the sound quality over bluetooth from I9100 with Omni is really bad.
The sound is almost crackling on some quiet places. Sound is perfect if connected to yatour's aux input with cable.
I have to test it with another transmitting device (without Omni) to rule out problems with the bt receiver though.
Bluetooth audio quality is pretty awful on the N7000 too, with my sony mw1 the n7000+omni 4.4.2 is distinctly bad compared to any other bluetooth source I have (phones, laptop, pc).
Hi guys,
I searched the web and found a few references to this but for previous versions and no real solution
I have used Bluetooth audio in my car daily with Spotify on my 3T but since I OTA upgraded to 4.1.7 from 4.1.6 the other day there is no sound when Spotify or any other media player is playing in my car via Bluetooth audio. The car says Unknown Track and Unknown Artist but the car can still control going to the next and previous songs in the Spotify app on the phone meaning the connection is working. The 3T thinks it is playing the songs in Spotify and I can pause and play it from the car controls. There is just no sound. Is this a common issues or is it just me? Is there any way to fix it? I saw somewhere it was a Nougat issue, does that mean even another ROM might have it? I'm hoping there is a fix that doest mean wiping my phone
Thanks
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem. I tried everything, but no sound comes out of my speakers. Any ideas?
For everyone consulting this Thread for the same issue, It has been noted by Devs at OnePlus, and they're working on it. It has been affecting many users.
