I have freeze/hide most of these apps from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/help/debloat-package-list-lg-g4-t-mobile-h811-t3168181.
(kept the ones I actually use like Music)
I am still getting the Update Notification on top of my phone to update. I've cleared the cache via TWRP recovery mode and restarted my phone but the notification keeps coming back and it won't go away.
How do I disable this notification? (I can no longer go into the update center via Settings>About Phone because I disabled it)
"Block All" notifications of Google Play Services in Apps sections of settings.
You'll soon find you're not getting any hangouts notification if you disable gplayservices

I get any app update notifications only after I go to the market app, then it appears as expected on the top notification bar. Is there any way to be automatically notified of updates without having to visit the market app?
I have my phone rooted and have Phoenix Unleashed installed but do not think that have any effect.
So I have had all three of the Galaxy Note phones, but I am having this weird problems with some apps and their notifications only on my Note 3. For example, whenever I use Pandora I have 2 notifications constantly running in my status bar. One of them tells me the song that is currently playing and the second one is telling me that Pandora is running. If I go into the app manager and disable the ongoing notification, it takes away both and I want to keep the song notification running.
I have this problem for other apps also, like ReLaunch. I went into the app settings and disabled the ongoing notification, but it is still there. So I went into the app manager again like I did with Pandora to take it away. Now whenever I restart my phone the notification comes back until I uncheck and then recheck the box to disable the notification. This also happens with other apps like some sms apps and Buzz Launcher.
Does anyone else have these problems and/or ways to fix them? I am running stock and not rooted at the moment.
Thanks.
I had disabled the stock messaging app on my Moto X with stock Android 4.4.2. So far, this has been working great, and I don't have two messaging apps (Hangouts and Messaging) in the apps list. However, last night, I updated to 4.4.3, and now I can't send text messages. Hangouts crashes every time I start typing a message. I realized it might be because I had disabled the stock messaging app and went to go and reenable it in the App settings. So I went to Settings -> Apps -> Disabled, and tapped on Messaging. But the enable button is greyed out. Is there any way to reenable the app without resetting the phone? I can't seem to find any other way searching online doesn't show anyone else with this problem.
Thanks for any help!

I was able to solve this by defrosting the app in titanium backup!
Edit: For anyone else that stumbles on this thread, the enable button for disabled apps is greyed out in 4.4.3. If you are not rooted, one way to renable apps is to go to Settings > Apps > Disabled > Reset app preferences (under the menu button in the top right).

I just received the notification. I went to Google play services and turned off the three buttons.
I do not see the message icon, but pulling down on the status bar still shows the message. How do I fix this on a custom ROM?
Somehow the block all notifications flag was not staying going from the message. Going through Setting-Apps-GPs-notifications seem to work for now. A moderator could close or delete this thread.
An update to Google play services earlier in the month caused a pop-up when enabling location services. A new update a few days ago got rid of the pop-up when enabling location services and replaced it with a pop-up when turning off location services. Any way to get rid of the annoying notifications? CM13 was running with 0 pop-up warning for the first 2 or 3 months.
Any solution?
Bump
I have got the same issue
Today that annoying popup is gone. Nothing changed or updated it just stopped.
Like I said in a Samsung thread:
I went to Settings -> Security -> Device administrators and disabled Android Device Manager, that got rid of this damn notification. Sad that I have to turn off a security thing just to get rid of a notification.
(Though I don't even have a Samsung or OnePlus, it's a ZTE, but the problem is the same)
