Hello, xda specialists!
I need your help!
I had G920A with such versions:
AP version: G920AUCS5DPI1
CSC version: G920AATT5DPI1
CP version: G920AUCS5DPI1
I flashed:
BL_G920AUCS4CPG1
AP_G920AUCS4CPG1
CP_G920AUCS4CPG1
CSC_ATT_G920AATT4CPG1
And my phone lost baseband and imei. I know that if I write newer version I'll restore my phone.
I read that this, G920AUCS5DPI1, version can be got only by OTA update. May be someone has this OTA.zip file to get modem from it.
Please help. Thank you.

The firmware was pushed OTA, but I was able to find it a website called galaxys6edgeupdate, since I couldn't find it on here or sammobile.

I have the same problem. Have you found the files or any fix?
I think BestBuy will have the files, so I am going there tomorrow and see if they can flash the file. I will update if it is a success.

Failed to flash stock (XAR) firmware on U.S model
Using Odin. But can flash U.K (BTU) firmware. Why is it failing to flash U.S firmware?
Downloaded from official sammobile site and from
XDA link. Have pics attached.
Can anyone please advice?
Thank you.
It states;
FAIL! (Auth)
why is the authentication failing?
I also stupidly did not do a twrp backup of the original firmware.
Thanks in advance.

It says you are trying to downgrade your firmware. You have revision 2, you're trying to flash revision 1 firmware.
I guess you're flashing the UK revision 2 firmware T713XXU2APJ1?

Do you mean an older firmware can't be flashed?
This is the older failing firmware:
T713XXU1APG1_T713XAR1APG2_HOME.tar.md5
This is the one that works:
T713XXU2APJ1_T713OXA2APJ1_HOME.tar.md5
Or do mean a different model?
What can I do to fix this?
Thanks for your help.
Yes its UK firmware. I got greedy and didn't wait for the XAR version. So do I wait for the updated USA version then flash that?
Thanks again.

Not really anything to wait for. BTU version will work just fine.
If you're that fussed about it changing your csc, extract the cache and hidden images from the xar rom and repack with 7zip then flash with odin.
For what it's worth you must have already had the latest XAR firmware, so not sure why you felt the need to reflash?

It's the WiFi that's the problem. BTU rom has restricted 5Ghz. Won't go above channel 140Ghz. XAR rom unrestricted 5Ghz bands up to 161Ghz or 165Ghz.
If I do what you suggested with regards to CSC would that also give me higher range 5Ghz bands?
Otherwise everything is perfecto. I got it rooted, xposed installed.
I really appreciate all your help. Saved me a lot of time trying to flash Roms like a maniac.

I thought the U.K version is 2 months newer. Now that I think of it, maybe it just came out later behind the U.S version.
Hey thanks again.

I did what you suggested, flashed the CSC and I now have ch 161 working. Less interference with higher channels.
You're the best.
BTW, the BTU firmware has the September security patch.

I have a ATT s7 edge. I was running on g935AATT4CRE4. Oreo. I found a firmware that was a 935U firmware. I flashed it with Odin with no problems. I liked it a lot. I wanted to go back and compare the 2. I know, kind of dumb. I had issues flashing original firmware listed above. I did some research, I downloaded latest att software and flashed it. Worked fine. Here is Build number G935AUCS8CRK1 . Now I cannot go back and flash the 935u firmware. I have noticed the 5th digit from the end is now 8 and not 4. Could this be issue? Any ideas.

You are correct. There is an 8 version on the U firmware that will work though
Any idea where I can find the u version?
Found it on Sam mobile. Thanks
Is there a place to download this firmware without paying?
I found version 8 935u firmware. Used odin correctly. It flashed and said passed in green. Kept rebooting to samsung power on screen. What am I doing wrong?
You need to download and flash the SM-935U 8.0 firmware that matches your baseband version exactly if you scroll down you will see an USA(AT&T) version that matches your baseband that is the one you need.

So just to clarify. My baseband is G935AUCS8CRJ2 can I flash this Unlocked firmware? G935UUEU8CRJ2
If so, do I use all of the parts in Odin, or just AP?

I've got an AT&T branded Note 9 stuck at the Augist security patch. I've tried a few things (clearing cache on software update, setting date forward, safe mode, Smart Switch) and none have worked, so I'd like to give ODIN a try.
Based on the version I'm at now, can anyone recommend the specific files/versions I'll need to use in order to get my phone up to date but NOT wipe my data? I'd be fine with whatever the latest AT&T release is if it means that I might again begin receiving OTA updates.
My current info is in the attached screenshot. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not technically inept, but it's been a while since I flashed an update via unofficial means and never on a Samsung device.
Thanks,
-Brett.
Just download the most recent version of the firmware with SamFirm tool, then flash it with ODIN. Use HOME_CSC and you shouldn't have to wipe.
After checking sammobile, only 1 firmware available for n960u at&t which is that august firmware.
try here

I wonder if they're missing some updates? According to AT&T, this should be the current version:
https://www.att.com/devicehowto/tut...?make=Samsung&model=SamsungN960U&gsi=Tdi5sXtc
Release date: January 15, 2019
Android version: 8.1.0
Security patch level (SPL): December 1, 2018
Baseband version: N960USQS1ARL2
Build number: M1AJQ.N960USQS1ARJA
Previous update required: N960USQS1ARJA
File size: 83MB

Pardon my ignorance, but would that put me on a path to no longer get updates from AT&T directly? Meaning, if I applied the latest updates that's not AT&T specific, would that cause me to no longer get updates from AT&T (not that I've been getting even those...) in the future?
Thanks,
-Brett.

Yes just flash away, do a data backup before you flash, cause AT&T will wipe your phone.

In my experience, Sammobile never has the current ATT firmware. They have all the other carriers, just not ATT. Plus it's slow AF to download from them.
That's why I said to use the SamFirm tool to download it. It always pulls the most recent firmware and does it directly from Samsung servers, so it's super fast and reliable.

Why would that take you off the ATT update path? I never suggested using firmware that wasn't specific to ATT. You download the most recent firmware from ATT with the SamFirm tool and flash it in ODIN.
In model you put SM-N960U and for region, you use ATT. As long as you're on an official ATT build, you stay on the ATT update path.
The SamFirm tool just pulls the updates directly from the Samsung servers, rather than going through slow-ass sammobile or updato.

That's totally my own ignorance/caution showing. It's been quite a while since I did any sort of ROM flashing and I'm really out of the loop. I was just double checking that what you were suggesting was the latest for AT&T and not a global update of some sort.
Thanks for clarifying. I'll give the SamFirm/ODIN combo a try when I get home from work. I'll be sure to back up first (assuming Safe Switch is a good way to do so?) and hope things don't get wiped in the process. Seems to be conflicting advice between you and Venom0642, but even if it gets wiped it's not a huge deal as long as I'm backed up.
Thanks again for your time!

Yup, just back up with Smart Switch and Samsung Cloud.
When you flash with ODIN, just skip the USERDATA file and use HOME_CSC instead if CSC_OYN. That SHOULD avoid wiping your phone. But ATT is weird, so I can't promise that.

Glad you got it all figured out!!
Will this work on a Note 9 that was originally on Sprint converted to AT&T? I bought this phone on Ebay to use for ATT and the software shows as ATT/ATT/SPR. I am still on October update and want to try to flash the update to at least December.
Hey guys,
I have a question about my new note 9 I bought recently. So I bought the phone which was described as a Tmobile unlocked note 9. I noticed the phone is on android 9 still and won't update via the software update or samsung switch PC app. Says I'm on the current version and no available updates. I decided to try and flash the newest update but when I looked at the software information, I saw the following:
One UI version
1.0
Android version
9
Baseband version
N960USQS3CSJ2
Kernel version
4.9.112-16352588
#2 Wed Oct 23 12:37:16 KST 2019
Build Number
PPR1.180610.011.N960USQS3CSJ2
Service Provider SW ver.
SAOMC_SM-N960U_OYN_TMN_PP_0019
28f15f89d33f7ece
TMB/TMB/SPR
So if i'm not mistaken, this phone is originally from Sprint? How should I go about flashing the newest android 10 firmware ? for future updates as well?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks
It does seem that you have the Sprint model of the Note 9. If you cannot update the OS via OTA in the device. you would need to download the update from Sammobile and install it onto your device using Odin.

You can install either OS. Or the Samsung stock OS as all of those will run perfectly in the US variant of the Note 9
