Its not that simply as you think. First off all, carrier must support 4g Volte and 2nd, carrier must make a deal with manufacturer. When manufacturer agree , then he can make a update that brings that feature, but often is it with new android version update.
I think you are not from India. So why you answer like this

Iam not from India, but Z3+ has same software in every country except carriers.... I can buy Z3+ from everywhere and i wont have Volte. Read what i wrote. Maybe will be some custom ROMs with Volte, but it wont work, because your operator dont accept your custom software..
In India volte feature is not carrier base. When I contact Sony service center. They said z3+ hardware not support to volte
Hi guys, has anyone heard anything about any variant other than Indian getting VoLTE?
Thanks
not likely
Not yet
Most probably not and won't. India was prioritise because of jio market
VoLTE is not widely used in other countries compared to India. The next country I know is China.

And even if used, there are charges. In Indian it was free coz of jio and boosted the entire market atleast from user's perspective.
In the course of adding rebranding support to the Mate 10 Pro/Porsche US editions as part of FunkyHuawei (Please see this post for details: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75279649&postcount=711 ) I can confirm the following:
1. The Mate 10 Pro and Porsche for sale in the US are re-purposed AT&T BLA-A09 devices. Other countries have the BLA-L29 or BLA-L09 so this is a US-centric codename, but in fact the hardware is identical.
2. The US edition of the Mate 10 Pro is single-sim. The Mate 10 Pro Porsche for the US market is also single-sim (other markets had dual sim porsche design editions). This is because they originally intended to release the phone with AT&T, which obviously wouldn't want them to release a dual-sim phone. If you live in the US and want dual sim, you're better off buying an international model and rebranding it, so you can have the dual sim functionality.
3. The US edition of the Mate 10 Pro/Porsche (or devices rebranded to the US branding) will support VoLTE on T-Mobile, but not VoWifi. However it does support both VoLTE and VoWifi on AT&T. If you want to check what is supported for your own MCC/MNC please look at this list, it's pulled from the US firmware:
https://pastebin.com/BGtr3VhT
If anyone wants to know more, you can ask in this thread or in the FunkyHuawei thread. We'll probably have many users rebranding to it and using it in the US soon.
What's the difference between the Mate 10 Pro and Porsche Design branding?

Generally the only differences are logos and branding and themes.
So does tmobile still have beef with huawei over stealing stuff? Feel like just about any recent unlocked flagship supports wifi calling on tmobile, most noticeably oneplus. I believe you could get axon7 working too.
What's the difference between VoLTE and a service like Google Voice that works with data? I mean if you have an LTE data connection and you're using a service like GV isn't that VoLTE by definition? Wouldn't the same apply for WhatsApp, Skype, Telegram etc if you were on an LTE connection? I don't really understand why VoLTE is hyped so much.

Volte would work for the native dialer. Using a secondary app is not something many folks in the US want to do (see imessage)
would there ever be a CDMA version at all ? I have a Verizon sim and tmobile I would love to use both sims or at least Verizon on the mate pro
Do you know if the current US branded firmwares are signed and will pass the safetynet test so I can use android pay? The earlier firmware version wasn’t so I rebranded back to the European version. Am in ATT and would love VoLTE and WiFi calling again but not if I can’t use android pay

You can use Google Voice on the primary dialler and as your primary number and also forward all calls from GV to your primary number.
just ordered a Huawei Mate 10 Pro International BLA-L29 for my wife and would like to rebrand to AT&T. i have a few questions regarding rebranding to ATT firmware:
is the FunkyHuawei ATT rebranded firmware the same that's [expected to be] installed on the US versions when they go on sale 18-Feb?
if i rebrand to ATT would i be able to root the device? if yes, will rooting disable some phone features?
on my Exynos Note 8, VoLTE and Wifi calling with ATT service will work if you (a) apply the ATT CSC (vendor config) to your rooted device using TWRP and (b) use the imei of an ATT device that supports those features. i'm hopeful that the same setup works for the Mate 10 Pro. thanks for taking time to respond to my questions.

I will answer your question in the FunkyHuawei thread, as this thread is talking about the US device release. Please check the other thread.

@duraaraa - thanks for your reply.
Will the US variant support t-mobile's extended range LTE? I remember reading somewhere they were blocking devices that didn't pass their certification.
No wifi calling on T-Mobile means no buyie from my

It will not work on verizon for calls/texts.
isn't it all the same hardware?
Is the phone suppose to be on AT&T and Verizon before of political pressure and decided not to work with Huawei?
so the phone should works on both carriers, unless they plan to come out with 2 version??? hardware wise?
also, on the phone, it says 4G and a little + sign?
what does the + sign for?
I know in US is suppose to say 4G = 3.5 G and real 4G = LTE
but since this is a international version 4G should be LTE? but a + sign?
@duraaraa, i had heard that, in spite of being seen as expensive by most, people were nonetheless willing to pay up because your customer service was second to none!
However, unfortunately, i can't share their opinion; I've tried to reach you at least 3 times in the past, which, not having expected it to be warranted to have to "insist", i didn't document dates and times (for different reasons which, at the end, I've had to solve all without your expected assistance.)
Recently, i actually used the official means, per the "Contact" tab at FH Club. It's nearing the 3-digit hour mark, and i think it's time you at least tell me (or, maybe it's "US, the (no pun intended, U.S. customers) to take a hike and stop wasting my time and yours.
I'm approaching you in the most respectful manner, which I realize may be difficult to fully see when in writing. I am also fully aware of your Terms and Conditions which state that FH reserves the right to at any time and for any or no reason, stop providing support without having to issue so much as a cent paid for given service.
Lastly, it hasn't always been "Big, Bad Duraaraa; i acknowledge you have provided me input at other times in the past.
Thank you in advance for your time.
Does that mean U.S phones will be able to rebrand for better software support? O:
Colleague over from HK on business with a Mi 11 to give to me as a gift (he a business contact and very generous). Wondering if it will be compatible with Three UK WiFi Calling and VOLTE? If not will just give to my mother and stick with my Note 20 Ultra until the s21 or OP9 etc
You probably have your answer by now, but for other people coming here: works fine for me with EE - UK
Hi All,
I am wonder if someone have checked WiFi and VoLTE calling in Australia (Telstra, Optus)?
Regards
Does anyone know if there is any possibility to activate WoWifi / Wifi Calling on Chinese Huawei devices like the Mate 40 Pro (or Mate 50 Pro)?
Theres an option to use Wifi Calling on global versions of the phones but as VoWifi is not supported (blocked) in China that option is not there on Chinese devices.
Thanks in advance!!
You are using it on China ?
The first requirement is that the operator offers you this service ...

No, I'm using Chinese devices in Europe. My operator offers the service and it works flawlessly on global Huawei devices. It doesn't work on Chinese devices, though, as it obviously is blocked in the Chinese firmware.
Do have a Solution? I've the same problem. With Emui it works perfect but whit Harmony not

I don't think it actually has to do with EMUI vs. Harmony. I think it basically doesn't work on phones running Chinese firmware as VoWifi is blocked in China in general.
