Some days ago, an update was pushed to Thea (XT1072), with security patch from August 2016. The version seems to be 24.201.5, and build number is MPBS24.65-34-5. Seems like it fixes a touch issue plaguing CM ROMs for Titan/Thea, and the dev is asking for the ROM in order to fix it in CM. Can anyone provide me with a link for it?

Nope, and ended not needing it all all.
Just curious, does the new update bring Android 6.0.1? Does it worth it to flash stock only for the bootloader, I have no touch issues whatsoever. What kind of touch issues do you guys have?

I notice it with Marshmallow. Touch is less sensitive compared to Lollipop. You would flash the new stock firmware and then install CM again (if you wanted).

I see. Basically you flash the Stock > Update to latest version > Root > Put CM13 again right?
The only thing stopping me from keeping Stock is the OTA update failure with root...

Install latest stock firmware, flash custom recovery, flash CM.
If you get an OTA update prompt just install stock recovery and let it update. I'm not sure if unrooting is required.

There is an LG update coming this week. If i install cyanogenmod, will I have to install cyanogenmod once more after installing the LG update? Or will i be able to run the update on CM at all?
if you install cyanogenmod you will not get this update, it's only for stock rom (maybe other roms based on stock too)

Then any traces of the update will be removed. CM isn't an alteration of the stock ROM, it's built from source code from the ground up.

Not necessarily, the update may be baseband also, which controls the radio and low level stuff, which is independent from CM

It's probably the update that is supposed to fix the problems. Wich I think next week will be released "in two weeks".
Hi all, I put this question for my friend. His Nexus One was dead now came back from hardware changed. He found that his N1's frimware had changed from previously 2.3.6 to 2.1 now. He cannot find update function in the setting. Is there any way to back to 2.3.6 or any best stable stock rom at this moment? Thanks.

I'm not so familiar with upgrading stock roms, because my N1 was at 2.3.6 when I bought it. But in all stock and custom roms of my N1 and other Android phones there was at least an option at Settings -> About phone -> System updates to upgrade the firmware OTA. In custom roms this option is functionless, but it should be there. Perhaps it has been overlooked by your friend.
If there is against expectations no such option you can upgrade to the latest firmware over fastboot described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312540
This is the info.

I don't know either. Google should help to find out. But with this roms you need to flash several updates to get the newest one. The procedure to install the updates is also different to the method I linked above. I think you have to flash them via recovery. But I'm not sure about that.
My friend just want it keeping stock rom. No rooting. I downloaded that rom u post to me. Which is 2.3.6. I upgraded from sd card. 2.1 > 2.3.6 at once. It can boot ok. But i wonder if anything not right...

If I remember rightly it should be the newest unrooted stock rom. So if it boots successfully it should be fine. Why do you think anything is not right?

isn't there is 2.3.7 as latest? I know CM has it, not sure about stock though.
I felt not right because I could upgrade from the lowest version rom 2.1 to highest version rom at once... just like it's root and flashing rom.

Good question. I'm not sure about that. A quick Google search let me think that the latest version for the N1 is 2.3.6 and 2.3.7 were released exclusive for the Nexus S.

If your device was unrooted, it should still be. You just flashed the whole firmware at once via fastboot instead of applying every single update via OTA or recovery.

So 2.3.7 stock is only for Nexus S As I know 2.3.7 should be latest version of Gingerbread, right?

Do you think we could see a Android 5.1 update? I really would hope so for as slowly as they've been rolling it out, or what do you think the possibilities of (after LP Update is released) seeing a 5.1 rom is?
5.1 looks a lot better to me than 5.0.1/5.0.2 minor small improvements and what not.
This phone will never see lollipop as long as it exists
As long as this phone exists? Or as long as lollipop exists?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
I thought they were gunna release an official lp (5.0.1) later this year for it.
I spoke with Samsung last night (chat) and they said it's coming but there is still no date.
Samsung Note 4 lollipop was released.

Negative ghost rider, towelroot doesn't work on anything passed 4.4.2. It doesn't even work on any flavor of 4.4.4, such as NL1. The only way to root from stock LP is to downgrade via Odin to a firmware supported by TR (4.4.2) and root from there, install safe strap, blah, blah, and flash a pre-rooted LP ROM, then reflash the LP kernel, modem, etc.

Ohh well if what ya say is true we should be seeing the LP rom's coming soon in the next week.
Is there an external download source for the Lollipop ROM to install via ODIN yet? I'm on X Note and just want to wipe and flash through odin rather than flash to stock, downgrade and OTA etc....
I'm currently on Android 5.0.2 with CM 12 and I don't know if there is any way to simply upgrade the bootloader without restoring to stock, is there any way to do so?
Also, what's the difference if I update to 5.1 and then reflash CM12?

Um if u update to 5.1 and then flash cm12 that will cause ur device to brick. I would hold off if using cm12 is important

I suspect you meant LMY48I (not LMY48L). If so, you are probably getting LMY48M now.
LMY48I was supposed to fix stagefright (among other bugs), but stagefright needed one more fix, which was included in LMY48M (among other bug fixes of course)

So what is the latest and greatest version of the stock rom for the Verizon variant? This new M version?
How does it run with that kernel installed? Is everything faster and does games run with no issues now
