I'm experiencing inability to run remix OS player. I have Avast installed and disabled. The log said remix player needs hardware acceleration so I made sure the executable ran with the graphic card using Nvidia control panel. The log still states issues with HAXM and hardware acceleration. The log file is attached and so is a screenshot.
I'm not sure what to do at this point.
Can't start Remix OS Player after a crash. Stuck at the black loading screen with the white text.

you need to install intel HAXM drivers.
and your cpu has to have the minimum requirements
so yea it is not a gpu acceleration problem.
it is a cpu acceleration one ...

ORIGINAL THREAD -http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468531
Shows enumerated usb devices, and allows you to mount external mass storage devices to the filesystem. Supports advanced features like the ability to reload partition tables and reseting USB devices. It can also control the USB Host functionality of S5PC210 devices with the appropriate kernel patch (more about this later)
The application does not use the USB Host API, so it can also run on older, 2.x devices. Because of that however almost all functionality (except for the listing of USB devices) requires root access.
The application needs a device that has USB Host (or USB OTG) functionality. Most modern high-end devices have this ability. Check the documentation and specification of your device (this functionality is usually called USB OTG or USB Host)
If your device doesn't have native USB OTG functionality, there are kernel patches for some older devices to enable the functionality, most notably for:
- S5PC210 based Samsung phones (Galaxy S, Captivate, Nexus S)
- QSD8250 based HTC phones (G1, Nexus One, Desire, Incredible)
You can find appropriate kernel drivers for these phones here:
- Samsung phones: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1450298
- HTC phones: http://sven.killig.de/android/N1/2.2/usb_host/
Note that these drivers might require skills to install, and may damage your phone and void your warranty!

Does it work with normal 2.5" hard drives even those requires more power?
After a whole lot of long evenings, odd hacking sessions and other fun things, I'm proud to present a full-system emulator for pebble.
This differs from existing solutions by actually emulating the pebble firmware using QEMU rather than simulating system calls!
It's still very much work in progess, but it currently boots a slightly modified firmware and allows navigating around the menus.
The long-term goal is to get it to a state where installing apps using libpebble is possible and hence allow using it for development.

Limitations:
Needs a full dump of the internal flash to boot (Working to allow it to boot a tintin_fw.bin directly)
Requires a modified firmware (BT initialization disabled)
Requires an SPI flash dump to be usable (Needs modified firmware to dump!)
There's currently no way to install apps
It has only been tested with firmware version 2.0.0

DumpPebble: https://github.com/Hexxeh/DumpPebble
Dump Pebble SPI Flash: https://github.com/EnJens/DumpPebbleSPIFlash
Required patches:
On a full internal flash dump of Firmware 2.0.0 (ev2_4 - e.g. original kickstarter watch!), the following patch needs to be applied to get it running in the emulator:
patch 0x0803d910 1BE0 (Inside a full dump, the offset will be -0x8000000, e.g. offset 0x3d910)

Does this compile and run under android? I could see this being useful on watch devices like the Omate TrueSmart

I doubt the CPU in the Omate is sufficiently powerful to do this right now. (I say right now, because it might theoretically be possible to optimize emulation since the cpu could directly execute most instructions...Similar to x86 on x86 emulation).
But no, this doesn't compile and run under android. It's intended for development of apps, rather than daily usage.
How do you run this under Windows? I can't seem to find a .bat or .exe file. Or does this only run with Linux?
UPDATE: there is an alternative app that let you change the color mode, but you need root.
If you're interested, this is the xda thread, and the dev is @emandt. This is the only way I've found of having a not saturated color mode if you don't have a touchwiz rom, like Cyanogenmod.
works for me on G920f rom Touchwiz

Manual download - Version 1.1.6
Download link: http://www.emandt.net/Android/ColorModeChanger/Testing/ColorModeChanger_1106.apk
Version 1.1.6:
- Fixed Interface issues on Tablets
- Fixed FC on UI opening on Tablets
Limitations ONLY during BETA period:
1) Each time you launch the App it checks for License. If internet connection is not available, the App will not run.
2) For cause n.1 the option "Start at boot" will not work because internet connection is not ready during boot (but it will work when released outside the Beta period)
3) Only MANUAL update available
4) If you have more than one Google Account registered on your device, please contact me because I have to manually add the others to the Licensed list.
- Install on External SDCard is not supported
- Only English Language available
Instructions and development choises:
To avoid creating a permanent running Background Service/Process AND a separated Interface (for changing Settings) I preferred to use an "all-in-one" App which requires this steps:
- first launch the App doesn't show anything (it just set the default/last_saved configuration)
- if launched AGAIN within 30 seconds it will open Settings Interface
- next launches follow the same behaviour as before
This behaviour is intended to work with "Start at boot" options to avoid Interface launching after a Boot is completed.
PS: Open the Interface (the second launch within 30 secs from the first one) may take few seconds while reading informations of your screen.
Instructions for download and activate it:
1) Visit this link and accept to be a Beta Tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.emandt.colormodechanger (this link will allows your Google Account to get a valid License)
2) PLEASE DON'T DOWNLOAD the App from Play Store because a payment is required even if in Beta (Google is crazy charging Testers for this), but manually download it with the link above
Please report bugs providing Device Name and Android Version or I cannot help you so much.

About:
This windows application will have you connect your Android device to your windows pc and allow you to show or hide android apps. Root is not required to do this. All of these commands can be done manually as well. This application allows you to do so with just a few clicks! Clear out your app drawer by hiding apps you do not use!
Disclaimer:
I am not responsible for what you do with this application, you are using it at your own risk and you assume all liabilities.
Version:
1.0 – Initial Release
Needed:
Windows PC (at least Windows 7 +)
Android Device with drivers installed
USB cable for device to pc
Directions:
1. Connect your device to your pc
a. Ensure appropriate drivers are already installed
2. Open the WinADB.exe application and then click the “Connect Device and Click Here to Start” button.
3. From there, you should notice device information populate in the application.
a. The “Show/Hide Apps” and “Reboot” options will become active.
4. To show/hide apps, click the “Show ALL” button and give it a few moments to populate the list.
a. This will not remove apps, it will only hide them from your app drawer!
b. Once the list loads, you can then select (one app at a time) an app by clicking it.
c. To hide it, click the “HIDE” button.
d. If you need to show the app again later, you may need to click on the “Show Uninstalled” button to see it again. You can then select the app from that list and click the “SHOW” button to see it again.
Depending on your version of Android and the device you have, not all features may work or work as intended. Please keep this in mind. I have tested this application directly with an ATT Samsung Galaxy S5 (rooted) and an ATT Asus MemoPad 7 LTE (not rooted) and has worked for both with no issues. All feedback is welcome!

All the main functions work, but Lenovo P2 is not in the Flash menu options (to reflash it), Lenovo P1 is still in there, what can be done about it ?
I wrote them a feedback (there's a feedback option in the top left menu button in the app):
Hi. Lenovo P2 is not visible/selectable in the Flash section. The tool supports the main functions but the Flash part does not, although the flash download files are publicly available.
- I request that you add the full Lenovo P2 support to the Flash menu and other parts of the app, where it may not be, Like Tips.
- Internet links in the app like Feedback open the Internet explorer automatically although my default browser is Mozilla Firefox.
-Device information and Warranty buttons are not clearly indicated as buttons, as they should be more obviously recognized as buttons.
- Usb connection icon should have some text like Connected via… or something that shows why that icon is there
- The text in the device info menu should be selectable and able to copy to clipboard, like Serial number or the IMEI, so i can check it in the Warranty checker. Or The text that you click could be automatically copied to the clipboard.
- Warranty checker should automatically suggest IMEI that is detected
-Forum menu could suggest a Device type thread to be opened, or a button for that. Like when you have Lenovo P2 connected, the forum menu recommens you to go to the Lenovo P2 forum section.
- Tips has a Registered Device option that i guess suggests from your list of registered devices. Lookup warranty could have the same button.
- Feedback option could have built-in feedback send menu, instead of redirrecting to a link. Optional link could be visible.
PS. Thank you for this good looking program, for supporting awesome Lenovo P2 and for adding the feedback menu so i can contact you here.
Rescue for a p2 isn't supported, tried with 2 different imei's for P2.
