Hey all, this wireless charging solution is very expensive, but was wondering if it would charge and be compatible with the Note 2, they say it charges 5w maximum is that fast enough? Here is the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clock-Wir...1179942?pt=UK_Alarmclocks&hash=item27cb19a4a6

Anyone? Just need to know if its compatible with my phone and if itll charge fast enough? Thanks.

try searching, theres a multiple wireless threads around!
Do you have the international version of galaxy note 2? If so, that should work if you can get your hands on a qi enabled battery cover
Edit: that's so expensive. Buy an awesome alarm clock and a energizer qi charger and save 60... or buy a chumby and get a much better clock

5W would equate to 1A at 5V

oregon also released the QW202, you can also consider the nokia/JBL speaker Qi charger.

The international version of the phone doesn't come with built-in wireless charging.
You would need a special case/battery cover for your phone. I am not even sure that such a thing exists yet (for QI charging)

no galaxy note 2 has built in wireless charging out of the box, you need to add a receiver or a battery cover with a receiver.
and yes, the receiver do exist, I have a few coming in.

What I meant was that the guy will still have to buy something else to attach to his phone in order to make the phone work with the charging station.

Everyone will have to add the receiver if wireless charging is required.
It's only the nexus 4 and a dozens of other japanese model phones have the qi built-in out of the box.
I'm a woman by the way, just thought id correct that. But anyway cheers for the info, is there anywhere I could buy the thing I need to put in the case, preferably in the UK cheers x

You will probably either need to wait for Samsung to officially release the note qi back or get a hold of the charging coil and install it yourself
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
Ha, think ill have to wait for Samsung then

The photo's shown are actually samply ones that I took at there office, the proper one's will have a sticker to cover up the coil, and fit's underneath the battery cover. I should have a few in around saturday to tuesday, then I'll put some more photo's up.
in the mean timetime, here is a link to another thread that I started, which is the same thing but with the S3.

Hi everyone,
I just bought this car charger, hoping that I could get a faster charging inside my car, as it says at Amazon (and also in the pack of the product) that it works with android phones (Motorola’s ones as well).
Unfortunately, it seems it does not work with our Nexus 6.
Has anyone own the same charger and have similar troubles?
Regards.
For our phones you need a Qualcomm certified charger that charges at 2amps 18w or higher.

Thanks,
But, despite not being a certified quick charger (Qualcomm technology) any charger should work anyhow whith the phone, right? I have myself plenty of old ones that works fine with the Nexus, but this one.

I looked the product up. And it seems some people received the 10w model. And they are having issues with charging phones that require 2.0A or higher. Maybe you should look into it. They might of sent you an older model.

Read that too, but, unfortunately (or fortunately) I received the 12w model (2 12w ports)... But it doesn't work as well.

I have the charger and it works fine to charge the phone. The post that states you need a Qualcomm Quick Charge certified charger is also completely false. You only need that if you want to take advantage of the fastest charging rates possible, but other chargers certainly work just fine, and I RARELY use the charger that came with my phone to charge it.

How about a bit of clarifications... does not charge AT ALL? Or charges, but slow?
If it does not charge at all, then you need to make sure that it is actually making contact with the cig lighter plug. Does the charger have a light? If so, does the light turn on? Have you tried a different USB wire? If you've tried a different wire, and can confirm that it is getting power from your cig lighter plug, and it still doesn't charge AT ALL, then your unit is defective. End of story.
If it charges, but slow, then its working as expected.
It doesn't charge at all.
Tested again with an iPad and with a blackberry and it works normally with both. It just does not works with my Nexus 6...
BTW, my Nexus 6 works with other car charges that I have (an old Samsung one and a belkin too).
Regards.

So unfortunately the dash car charging is out of stock on the one plus site. And I can't find anywhere else that sells them. Is there any other options for dash charging while in the car?.
There is a seller on eBay who has them but they're going for $50+. Not ideal but if you just can't wait...

I have never used this site so i dont know. :/ Its also out of stock, just wait oneplus site to get back stock end of this month like me.
You could buy a power inverter off of Amazon for $29 and just use the regular Dash charger that came with the phone. Not ideal, but if you really need something now it'll work perfect.

You can simply buy OPPO VOOC Car Charger for 30 bucks,
It works. Since dash charge is just an alternate name of OPPO VOOC

Can anyone confirm this? Has anyone actually used the OPPO chargers? That would be awesome if we can get that fast charging battery pack that OPPO makes for our phones.

I will confirm it myself,
This was done by using OPPO VOOC + Mi USB C converter.
You can see the dash charging indicator there

This (screenshot attached) was sold for IDR 400K++ in my country,
So it's even less than USD30,
It would charge at 3,5A max. Not as fast as wall charger but well....
Try ebay or aliexpress

Thank you very much for the link, i'm a little relieved now, that the waiting is not so long, till the end of the month.
Hi all,
I ordered these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01GRGJ6PU/ from Amazon, and since it is not stated on the product information page, I was wondering whether they are spec compliant or not (so I can know if it is safe for me to use them).
I tried them on a friend's Nexus 5X using Checkr and it said they were ok, but I still would like to make sure.
Any experiences with these?
Thanks!
Did your friend know you were testing out your potentially-dodgy cable on their phone?! ?

Yes Even though from my reading, worst that could happen was to the computer you connected it to, and that was my laptop
Edit: I needed to check on a friend's phone because Checkr only works on Nexus 5X and 6P and Pixel C. I had already used it before on my phone and it worked just fine. Ampere reported a maximum current of 1500 mAh. Once I tried on the Nexus I had already tested a few things on my phone
AUKEY along with anker and nekteck is one of the better aftermarket cable vendors, all of their USB-C to USB-A accessories I've tried have been compliant
How you doing guys. For my OP6 I've got a nice $12 charger that did amazing work and charged the phone in Dash mode. I am trying to get something similar for OP7 Pro. Problem with original it's only one port. I do understand it's 30 Watts but I do need that second port. Also What's up with backward compatibility. I mean I thought my OP7 PRo will use Dash charging instead of Warp, but it's not it's using regular slow mode with my Dash OP6 car charger. Any suggestions?

I'm in the same boat, figured my 3rd party op6 dash charger would at least give the op7pro dash charging, but it's like 1.2 amps I think according to ampere. Just gonna have to wait it out : ). Maybe try a PD one? Op7pro is rated for 15w PD.
The OnePlus 7 Pro supports USB-PD, so you’re good there.
You can also buy oppo Vooc / super vooc. It' fully compatible with warp charge but cheaper.

That's not a car charger.
Maybe this one

I was able to get dash charge speed using a OnePlus dash charger bought along with my OnePlus 5 using the original included cable.
