Make sure you buy a quickcharge 3.0 charger for your region, the one that came with mine was a 2 prong one (presumably asia/chinese)
I got qc 3.0 with Chinese plug and EU are adapter.
From Vopmart. I believe it's the cheapest price now there(299$) payable with PayPal.

Hello all,
I've purchased a car power adapter spec'ed at 500mA. To my disappointment, the Galaxy does not appear to be charging when connected to that one.
The factory-supplied outlet adapter is spec'ed at 700mA.
So, what's the min spec for a charger that would work for the Galaxy ? Any Nokia car chargers that are known to be working (if so, which models)
TIA for the help..
http://tinyurl.com/29zpnsl 5th link and they recommend Dash Genie charger. Why would you like a nokia one ?
Thanks.
Why would I "like" a Nokia charger? Price. And because I'm fed up with buying car chargers and holders each and every time I change my phone...
I got a Samsung branded one (CAD300UBE), will cost you around $10~15. I always try to buy original accessories, because I don’t want to risk damaging the phone or the battery by using a cheap crappy charger off eBay. If you are buying a $700 phone then surely you can afford $15 on a decent charger.
EDIT : If you are in US, Amazon is selling Samsung CAD300UB for $6.69! RRP is $19.
So I have the cable that came but the wall plug is for Europe. Can I get those 3 dollar adapter on Amazon and good to go? I want one just like the att note but where would I be able to buy that? I want that one because I know it's safer right? Or the amazon one is the same crap?
I received one of those plug adapters with my phone, and it works totally fine.
Where in the box?
The original charger came with a clip on adaptor that made it into a UK plug.
Can I buy just the adaptor bit on its own, but with a Euro plug?
Just get a cheap adapter for it. I bought my N7 in the US and I'm using it in Europe and that's what I did. Works fine. Cost like $2.
Or buy a UK/Euro travel adaptor.
I do NOT believe that you will be able to buy just the adapter bit - although it may be possible to buy the "full" set up fairly cheap if you keep your eye on eBay and Amazon.
Well, where are you buying for your samsung phone charger adapter if it necessary? I bought my adapter from amazon to replace my bad one, I want to know where is recommend to buy it.
When i was still android I used the Samsung Fast Charge adapters. $13 at BB

Fast charge and wireless charging seems to have come down quite a bit over last few months, I have been using Amazon
Amazon or big stores. I used to buy from eBay and from dollar/discount stores, but they were breaking so often it was cheaper to buy one with a warranty. I also got a few on Groupon.
Yes, on some discount store could get good price. any recommend for this?
Hi, I am looking for a spare charger to take on holiday.
Ideally I don't want to buy from amazon marketplace or ebay as I am worried about buying fake items.
Does anyone know where I can buy the official UK charger from?
Cheers
Stores currently don't stock the official charger, and after a quick search on Amazon I can only find official chargers for the last generation of Huawei phones.
I'd recommend (if possible) contacting Huawei and ask for a replacement from them.
Good luck with asking Huawei. I spent a week discussing this exact problem with Huawei Australia Support - basically their (pat) response is that they do not sell them as an spare part but welcomed feedback. Well I gave them some of that.
Being able to buy a replacement charger because we lost it or some other mishap is a completely normal consumer expectation. What other manufacturer refuses to sell their AC adaptors as a spare part?
Before Fast/Quick/Supercharge you could use any AC adaptor if it had enough current, but the Supercharger + Cable are the only things that will enable Supercharging on these things, so lose it and you're stuck with normal charging speeds.
Pretty bad form on Huawei's part. We bought the P20 Pro for the Mrs and she does love the phone. I'm very impressed too and before this AC Adaptor debacle I was going to plonk down for one later in the year as a BD present. Now I am having second thoughts after they pulled the unlock code site and won't sell AC adaptors.
I also refuse to buy ones advertised on-line - there seem to be plenty of "original" chargers but several bad experiences buying "genuine Samsung" batteries and chargers for our S4s & S5s taught me to buy only real ones from the local Samsung service centre.
A few years back I had an interesting conversation with a fireman. When they examine the premises to report on how the fire started a large proportion of domestic fires are started by faulty/fake phone chargers.
We should all get up Huawei for not supplying aftermarket demand with the correct charger. If our house burn down maybe they'll pay for the rebuild when the insurance refuses to pay because we were forced to use a non-genuine charger?
And reinstate the unlock code site ...
