5.1.1 rollout to Russia according to Sammobile.com

According to SamMobile, Samsung started to roll-out 5.1.1 for Note4. Can someone confirm this? What features was added?

I've checked 4pda about this: no OTA update, we can get 5.1.1 only through Samsung Service Center. ETA for download link about 1-2 days. So far some people claimed: no Google camera api, minor interface fixes, more free RAM and better performance on recent apps/camera

It's a 32bit build.
So, i'm waiting for a full firmware download, i don't know why but i hate OTAs.

And sammobile got this information from some russian forums and even here on xda you have those pictures from yesterday. So sammobile dont have anymind information nor this is ota update (should check the claims from this dude who has 5.1.1.).

I don't think the 910f update is available to anyone as of yet, so you just need to wait for the official rollout.

Can the boooader be unlocked?

Hey, I have been out of the rooting game for some time, but I was wondering if this phone can be unlocked and flashed with something like cyanogenmod? I have done research but can't find anything conclusive. Thanks!

I presume you are referring to the Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920T)?
If so then yes you can flash SU and TWRP via Odin and install a compatible ROM through recovery.

That's because the bootloader is not locked. Or at least at the moment with 5.1.1

Yes. The T-Mobile S6 variant (SM-G920T) does NOT have a locked a bootloader at present.
The S7 however does and the suspicion (though unfounded at the moment) is that once T-mobile releases the Marshmallow update for the S6 it may lock the bootloader. Thus, it is probably going to be a good idea to wait on taking the Marshmallow update as soon as it is available (if root is desirable).

So will any normal Roms available for the standard GSM s7 work with the T-Mobile model? Also, is installing twrp as simple as something like a Nexus? I haven't been in the ROM game for a while, thanks for the help guys

There won't be any ROMs available for the S7 so long as the bootloader remains locked.

For the umpteenth time yes. You just need to make sure that whatever ROM you want to flash is compatible with the T-Mobile S6 variant (SM-G920T).
There is a T-Mobile Galaxy S6 Android Development forum here at XDA which will have a number of different ROMs to choose from as well as information and support for said ROMs.

Good suspicion. ..I thought of that right away myself thus why I returned my s7... The s6 with few tweaks is as nice in many aspects not all but suits my needs .

Yep. Really like my 64g S6 flat. And you are right, with a few tweaks it is a great device.

If your model is not compatible with the mod, upload your stock mixer_gain.xml and mixer_paths.xml located on SYSTEM/ETC and i do a specific mod for your model.

Why did you post this here? It requires xposed, which requires root, etc. At&t s7's don't have root available and probably never will.

I couldn't find mixer_gain.xml but attached all the mixer files that I found in system/etc

Since we don't have a working twrp recovery yet, am assuming it will be a copy and paste with permission changes ( which we can do now)

I am following the main thread. Currently he is in beta for the Verizon S7 and not long after than I'm sure a universal snapdragon method will follow. Can't wait to show this mod off. Thanks Zubi182 for the hard work and dedication for working on a model you do not even own.

SM-T815Y Kernels and Roms

Hey guys,
Cant seem to find anything for my model.
Anyone point us Y variant users in the right direction? Kernels especially. Searched, asked, looked, not much around. Not saying that's a bad thing just seeing if anyone has seen something I missed.

I think you'll find most T815 roms and kernels work just fine on the Y variant.

i have edited and built a new rom from Jafangie v1.0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/development/rom-6-0-1-tab-s2-v1-0-b2013265930ta-t3386619)
running good on T815Y but not sharing on XDA because i seen too low user on here .

It's for the 715 though yeah? Do you have LTE (cellular) working? I'm just not sure as nothing's really for it. I haven't flashed any 6.0.1 stuff yet as all the stock roms aren't for my region... [emoji20]

This is a flashable zip of the latest EPK5 official fw.
It is Edge based, basically fully bloated (minus Knox and a few other apks)
It is rooted and compatible for both Flat and Edge based T/W8 models.
There are NO mods or edited files, ALL files are untouched!

Almost everything seems to be in order. Two issues; wifi calling isn't working (gets stuck enabling) and the wifi forgets home my network whenever I leave it's range. Would that be due to not having the latest radio? I'm running the radio from the April firmware update.
