[Q] Strange problem: Solved!

Hey guys,
I posted a query in the Philz forum as well regarding this, however, since I've moved on to the hydracore v5.4, I thought I might post it here, too.
I'm on stock ICS with hydracore v5.4 now (having changed from speedmod k13 to Philz cwm6 v2.7 to hydracore). All my websites including facebook are talking to me; I just cannot disable these voice prompts! I checked the "talkback," "explore by touch," and the "drive mode," none of which is checked... what seems to be the issue? The whole problem began when I changed to Philz kernel; I even did a couple of hard resets... :crying: Please help.

check any specific app that is causing this problem.. nothing related to kernel

How do I do that? It's driving me nuts! How wish I had just stayed with speedmod :crying:

check what all application are running currently.
go to setting > then applications > running

Along with others, I've NoLED, Voice talk, notification launcher and beats audio running... do you think any of these are causing it? sorry, a noob here

disable voice talk
as in click on it and do a STOP

Try this
Settings, Lanuage & Input, Text-to-speech Output, Driving Mode - untick
or you can double click Home button then when you get to the Voice Talk screen turn off the Driving Mode car button

same place go to the tab all and check if its listed there.. then disable it

I was able to freeze voice talk using one of the apps from the market, but my facebook is still talking! wth? The drive mode id off too in the language and input section... I think it's possessed!

virtual button, battery notifier, phone and facebook (I even uninstalled NoLED)... the phone wouldn't shut up! This is so bizarre and has never happened to me b4

No just using the hard keys... was that wrong?

what keys? actual factory reset will be when u do it thru the recovery mode. but this will delete all ur apps and data.

You know the old fashioned way, vol up, home and power and then factory reset; i had to reinstall everything!

so when u hard reset all apps. are lost right. does the phone still talk?

Yes... didn't lose any system apps, just the ones that I had downloaded. Apparently, the problem was NoLED as once I uninstalled it and rebooted the phone, it has so far not talked to me! Good grief :victory: Thanks you for all your help and patience!

help me how to delete sim contacts!!
I use contac2sim pro apps but after I restart, my sim contacts back again. help me for this problem

use MyphoneExplorer or Go contact Ex from google play, u can select all n delete them,make backup copy n do wat ever u want. :good:

Installed the new Google Dialer and cant seem to uninstall it. I do have a backup of the phone app but it is not going well.

More help requested
Thank you so much! In the meantime, i mightily jacked up my phone trying to get the dialer working again. I installed the Google Dialer from 4.4.3. I did not get it to work.
com.android.phone shows version 0
same for com.android.providers.telephony.
Would you kind folks upload these so I can fix my phone?

I am totally confused that what exactly you are trying to do and why you are installing Goggle Dialer
Please post screenshots of exact error you are facing.

I have problem in sending message to service provider, there is an error "Unfortunately,the process com..android.phone has stopped.. I am using Note 4 rom but when I am using s5 rom there is no such problem encountered. Any help will be appreciated, thank you guys.

Does it happen even after a full wipe and clean install of your ROM ?

Yes sir, actually it happened from the start I installed the rom. I fully wipe the data and cache and reinstalled the rom and still cant send message to service provider

Example, here in philippines, 222 is a service provider number. I wanted to check my load balance so I will text bal send to 222 and when I click send the error happened. But when I send a message to friends error dont pops up. So i think there is a problem in sending message to service provider. I use http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development-i9305/rom-t3024759 rom. I also check other note 4 roms and there is also the problem but when I use s5 rom there is no such problem like that. By the way thank you for helping

I noticed that youre a contributor of amcha rom. I love that rom, I used it for almost 3 months. Its a very good rom and I dont encountered any bugs or problem while using it. Now Im just trying a Note 4 rom.

Another thing sir, I noticed that when I try to send to five number digit for recepient the error happened and when I try to send in a six number digit there is no problem. Im just wondering that the message apk of the rom Im using when sending message, is restricted to six numbers up?

Hi mate,
First, AFAIK my carrier doesn't allow to send sms to service. Maybe it's possible but I've found nothing about this. So I can't test for you.
Then, I assume that you have played with settings of message app and see if it could help ?
You should try a third party message app with Note 4 Elite Ultimate ROM and see if it's the same. I'm sorry but I've never tested this ROM and I don't know at all where could be the problem.
I hope you will find a way to fix your issue

I never change anything on the message settings. Do you know @MaHo_66? He is aware of the problem and he also dont know yet how to fix it. Il try to use other message apps. Thank you for helping.

I use the google messenger of google from playstore and try to send message to service provider and still encountered the problem.

I really don't know...
I've read in N4 Elite ROM's thread that you're the only one in this case... Maybe you have to configure something special in message app (service number, etc.)

I thing the base rom of Note 4 elite rom of qasim and note 4 rom of maho_66 is the same. In note 4 rom of maho_66 many other users has problem like me. Before I tried the Note 4 elite I already encountered the error in maho_66 rom.

I already encoutered this problem but I can't say exactly how I fixed it. The only thing I remember is that I re-downloaded ROM files, formated all partitions and then re-flashed. And the problem was gone...

i have the same problem (and i´m using the N4 rom too.) the problem has nothing to do with the messaging/phone app (i tried third-party apps) so we can only wait on a patch from the rom-developers.

You can always get it back by doing a factory reset. Everything would have to be set up again obviously but you'd have the app back

I reset... And i've factory mail.
But why the original app mail not load folder of Gmail?
The original mail of my old honor 7 and 8 work perfectly, but this mail of p30 pro not. :/
