Like the title, is there has an app can modify the auto brightness levels of Z3C running MM .291?
Or any way to modify the auto brightness levels manually?
Please teach me how to do it... thank you
Sorry for my bad English.
You can do this with Gravity Box, but you need root and Xposed for it.
Thank you for answering me. I try it already, but that funcion isn't work on Xperia MM room.

Hi all! My Note is running 2.3.6 LC stock software with root.
I heard that there is an option in Kj mode, which helps to tune auto-brightness levels. I would like to ask you, is it possible to implement such thing into my ROM? For me the default auto-brightness tune is too bright for me and I want to tune it. Actua)y I want it to work, but on te lowest levels range. What filesI should edit for this?
Many thanks in advance!

why not use the unofficial JKay mod's mod for LC1 by _giggino_ (check last week's posts in the original thread)?
Yes.

Another option is to use a program like Screen Filter, as this lowers the brightness on the AMOLED screen universally
Wow, thanks a lot! I'll try it now
Hello, everybody!
I searched a lot in the forums and I didn't find anything about it. So my question is;
There is any chance to get more brightness on my Xperia V, with a MOD or something?
I know that its screen brightness is excellent, but I'd really love more brightness and with it, enjoy more my videos and photos!
THANKS!! :victory:
Try disable Auto Brightness in Setting> Display

are you using stock ROM
if Yes, just go setting > brightness to adjust your brightness
else you can try other rom posted by developer

Nope, I'm using uniQue ROM
And I know that auto-brightness reduces brightness a little bit, so I use the maximum.
So, I was wondering If there is a MOD to increment that brightness.
( an example; I had an Xperia Neo, and its screen brightness was too poor, and I found "Disable Auto Brightness Xperai", and solved my problem )
Thanks!
So I can select "auto" brightness by the slider on the notification panel. When I move the slider, auto is unchecked. BUT, I know since I've had the S5 over the past few weeks, I've had the slider show a +/- option that allowed auto to remained checked while you could move the slider between like +3 and -3 for the relative level of auto you want.
I know this type of option can be achieved through various 3rd party apps, but is there any way to enable it from stock? I'm just confused because I know I've had this option, but I haven't used any type of brightness app, and now the option is gone. I did have wanam Xposed installed before...does that add the option?
Hmm, looks like this is an option in wanam Xposed and probably a default option so I was seeing it when I had that installed... Wanam says:
Use Auto-Brightness Detail*- Enables a +/- 5 slider for auto-brightness
was the auto brightness fine adjustment ever working for you? i havw wanam on my s4 and my s5, auto brightness adjustment doesn't work on either. maybe im doing something wrong
I believe it was working when I had wanam installed, but I honestly didn't really test it out...and I took off Xposed framework for the time being.

man. i really wish i knew why mine doesnt work on 2 different devices. i spent hours searching and reading forum posts and found no answers. i know it works on TW because i had some TW rom that had it and it worked great, but i ditched the rom casue there were things it was missing and some things i didnt like.
I did see that Lux Auto Brightness and Velix Auto Brightness might provide good 3rd party solutions to better personalized brightness control fwiw.
Ive tried lux and some others. They either worked great and killed my battery. Or didnt work woth. ****
Good to know those are battery killers, I hadn't tried them our yet myself.
Lux user here, paying user actually, works great for me, no significant drop in battery unless im in an area where the screen is staying super bright.

Good to know this as well, was thinking of trying lux or velix one of these days. Have you tried velix?

When I got my TAB S2 it was with 5.0.2 and I was able to increase or decrease how auto brightness works with a slider in notification tray. After flashing T710XXU2BOJ1 (5.1.1) if I use the slider with auto brightness turned on it will turn off the auto brightness This is a bit annoying because I like to use auto brightness and now can correct it if it's not doing a good job :/ Is this a 5.1.1 feature or a bug and I should do a factory reset?
P.S. If I do a factory reset on rooted firmware will I loose root ?
Ok, to answer my question it's a bad feature off 5.1.1. Will have to do for now, maybe 6.0.1 some day will fix it

The whole point of auto brightness is just that "auto" the slider is disabled because the OS adjusts the brightness based on the light in the enviroinment.
If you are in a dark room it will dim, outside it will go bright. If you move the slider the device assumes you then want to use manual brightness and disables the auto brightness and then adjusts the brightness of the screen based on where the slider is positioned.
This is the way Samsung devices work. (I have had several over the years and currently have a Note 4, a Tab S 8.4, and this Tab S2)
How are you expecting the slider to function when auto brightness enabled?
The slider is suppose to be for manual brightness.
The auto brightness slider still allows for manual adjustment on 5.0.2.
-5 to +5 to set the level to your liking whilst still maintaining auto brightness mode.

I think I recall there being some form of auto brightness audjustment fix in the downloadable modules. I can't link you as I don't have it installed currently.
Couldn't find it ?
hello. i am having trouble with this option. on some ROM's it is easy enough to disable. but with others, disabling it causes the screen to go darker then 0 brightness.
i find this and was changing this... /sys/devices/mdss_dsi_panel/cabc
in that file is a value you can change between 1 and 0. 1 being the default on position.
all-in-all, i would just like to somehow disable CABC and also keep brightness control not going darker then 0. manually settings the brightness while CABC is set to 0 does nothing. it is possible to increase brightness by using an app/mod to increase minimal brightness levels, but that is only a work around.
at the moment i am using [ROM] eXistenZ Premium Final 9.5.5 Z1 5.1.1 .236 Lollipop By XsHaWnX.
any help appreciated

Looks like something you should discuss with the rom developer.
Heavily tuned roms tend to show strange behavior in some cases - this seems to be one of them.
okay. well, i will send a message. thank you
