Hello,
But with Google Music or Spotify do you have album art on the lock screen ???

Google music work on lockscreen, eventually for Deezer and Spotify but there are other programs that doesn't work like pocket casts and simple radio ...

Did you check all app permissions such as draw over other apps is enabled?

I've checked that also, but no luck, I've made it work only with echo notification.

SOLVED It was my firware I installed EVA-L09C432B180 and now all works from stock

Do these require the default apps

On my gear I noticed that the quick reply feature for text messages does not work unless you are using the stock app I the note 3. Also the media controller did not work with any app other than the Samson music app. Did I configure something wrong or is that the way it is designed?

can't talk about text replying, but 3rd party music players works for me.
i'm using poweramp and i am able to control music using my gear. it doesn't show albumart though.
just make sure you do not have more than 1 music player installed, as sometimes it goes crazy and it will control music through samsung app...

dont know with the messages, but for the media controller i got a dirty fix that works well in my case.
i only use spotify for music, and a audiobook player app, so i simply froze the stock music app with titanium backup and now it works like a charm for my other apps.
the funny thing was that before i froze it, i could control other audio apps, but i had to first push a button on the media controller, then go to the phone and kill the stock music app, after that it recognized the other audio app..
hope this helps :good:

Lockscreen Music Widget

Hi guys, I hope some can help me resolve my problem. My unit is C6903, Android 4.4.2 .757. Whenever I play a music the music widget on lockscreen is not appearing and also I cannot add additional lockscreen widgets. Again these happen when I am playing a song. Whenever I'm not, I can add widgets on lockscreen. Thiese only started again when I updated to .757 FW but on .168 it's working. Enable widget option is ticked, already tried clearing the cache of the Walkamn Music Widget and Lockscreen on the settings but to no avail. Any response guys would be very much appreciated.
Screenshot for your reference. Take not that the I'm playing a song (the Walkman icon on the notification area).

I tried the Walkman app and noticed a bug as well, the cover doesn't always change when I skip to the next song..
Looks like Walkman has some bugs with this firmware, but it's not a problem for me since I use poweramp, maybe you should give it a try, in my opinion it's much better than Walkman

Anyone found a solution for this? I have the same problem since the .757 update, and both Walkman and Google Play Music are affected. Considering to root my phone to fix the problem (hopefully NUT's rom have this sortet out).
Are you using SmartKey app? I remember when I was using it I had the same problems with lockscreen widget... it wasn't appearing and I could't swipe clock widget as well.
I do not use the Smart key app, but I have tried to install and uninstall it. Didn't do anything. I can swipe the lockscreen widget (had to enable it in settings after the last update), but still no music widget.
The problem is also present with Netflix...

Found the problem! I had an app similar to Smart key (Headset control center https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shengande.degausslabs ).
It does the same thing as Smart key, and when I uninstalled it everything works fine!

I know you said no other apps, but man you gotta try PowerAmp, the full version. There isn't anything better than it
And yes, it has what you're looking for

Lockscreen music controls

Hello,
When I'm playing music using spotify or any other music player aside from the stock one, music controls still appear at the lockscreen but they do not work. Am I doing something wrong?
Sent from my HUAWEI P7-L10 using XDA Free mobile app
No, I have the same problem with every third-parts music player. Controls on the lockscreen works only with stock Huawei music player. (I am on B602)
I have the same issue.
I am using Spotify as my main music player, and lock screen displays what I am playing. So far, so good. When I want to change track though, it switches to stock music player and puts on the classic music which comes with the phone.

Same here. Seems to be a bug in the software.
Is there anyone who found a solution for this problem?
is there seek or scrubber in the lockscreen music control and can someone add a picture of lockscreen music controls

Not sure about the terminology. "Srubber" as in a line which allows you to rewind/fast forward?

Same problem, Poweramp can be used with its own lockscreen so no problem with it.
Problem comes with SoundCloud, there seems no way to change or pause track if not by unlocking the screen or using Xposed with hardware buttons.
same problem is in mate 7 it is just thing what huawei has no idea .. you have to contact huawei about this ..
they need to fix this..
Well yeah we can use music players with custom lock screens. But some people prefer the stock one

If you use lock patern the controls will work. It won't work on huawei lock only.

Tried it. Not working for me.
Hi, I found a solution without the need to root your device in another forum. Since it's in German, I'll quickly translate the instructions:
In ES File Explorer go to /device/system/app
In that folder, look for the file "HwMediaCenter.apk" and touch to install it
If you get a warning not to install apps from unknown sources accept to install this app and proceed
The installation will start now and finish with an error message, which is to be expected
Restart your phone
The annoying default music player should have disappeared. The reason being that due to the unsuccessful installation attempt it got removed/deactivated.
Thanks, it works !
I had the same problem with Spotify, I had to remove Google Music too.
Maybe it's just about the default music player (It can be set in Settings/Manage apps/Default app settings) but since Spotify is not seen as a music player as such, I had no other choice.
Thanks again.
Thankyou

Nubia Music Player

The ZTE Nubia music player is fully compatible with our Axon's. I have always like this player primarily because it gives an on screen volume slider (just swipe up/down within a song context). Plus it gives some cool menu animations and gives a folder view of your library.

Won't install, problem parsing the package. Is this for an earlier version of android?
EDIT: Installs fine, download was initially incomplete.

Not sure but likely since no Nubia's are on 5.1. I installed v1.4.1 and it worked fine for me.

My download was incomplete. It installs without issue. Thanks for sharing. This is the music player that should have been the default for the Axon. The UI is much nicer.
Can anyone download the other skin? It force closes when I attempt.

Force closes for me as well. Is there a way to organize music in order by album? When I go to album view, everything is alphabetical. Have the same issue with the stock music player as well. I like the interface though

I downloaded the app. AXOM ZTE A1. It really works well. It looks for the music in the HiFi File if you are using it on this type phone. Easy to use and the Alphabetical listing is easy and the playing is great. No problems notice on the 1.4.1 latest rom. Thanks.
