[Module][Magisk][Pixel 2 Launcher][Original- unmodified][Systemless][App]

This magisk module is Pixel 2 launcher installer which installs it systemlessly.
When pixel 2 launcher is installed as user app, swipe right to open google now is not working. Even in some ROMs like pixel phone stock ROM, AEX ROM it can't be installed as user app.
When pixel 2 launcher is installed as system app, it causes issues like removes pixel launcher (in pixel phone & some ROMs' default launcher like AEX).
So this module will neither remove original pixel/pixel like launcher, nor compromise in functionality, it will just replace (or install) pixel 2 launcher systemlessly.
Google now launcher working with this systemlessly replaced pixel 2 launcher (even though it's not modified)

Sources: Pixel 2 launcher apk file has been taken from APKMIRROR, and not modified at all.
Note:
All features will work only in oreo based ROMs. Notification dot & icon shape will not work with Nougat based ROMs.
You need to give location permission manually to get weather data as launcher is not asking location permission but by default all permission are set off.

Try turning on location. Install Google news & weather app. This may activate that feature.

Coz pixel launcher's weather works perfectly

Thnx for this, works perfectly.
Do you have a way to get back the old launcher after flashing this? Because after deleting this module in Magisk there is no launcher at all.

Module is systemless and doesn't overwrite

Magisk deletes nothing.. it just disables old & enables new over it.

Hmm, ok that's weird then. When I disable the module and delete it in Magisk manager and then reboot I have no launcher at all.
I get a force close message that says "shut down is closed" or something like that. When I look at my apps in settings there's no Pixel launcher, but instead I have a shutdown app. Very weird.

Reflashed and got the exact same problem.
Did get back my old launcher by flashing a modded version of your module (replaced apk with pixel 1 launcher)

What is this exactly? A mod for patched Google Call Apps available to AOSP users and Nexus users on playstore?
The screenshots don't tell me anything unfortunately, other than the dialer and contacts are updated to current Dialer and Contacts Frameworks unless it does something other than update the stock Dialer apps.

Ah okay, so no need to flash for me. I'm using an AOSP Rom with Magisk Module for Google Framework unlock (meaning I can install Google Phone;Contacts;Message Apps directly from Playstore) I removed my AOSP stock apps & sys integrated the official Google Apps directly from Playstore. This seems useful to some though I wonder does this mod also add the feature changes to go along with the CallUI?

I notice there is not the stock Xperia messaging on the XZ1. I knew that. Now I undersand why, it's because this app (august 2017 version) cause conflits with Android 8. There is a recent update of it ? Or we must continue to use Android Message ?

You can use any other Android Message App and set it to default app for messaging.

I know that. I asked this because I prefere Stock Xperia messaging app.

I had à version from Android 7.1.1 but it doesn't work correctly with Android 8. That I said.

I used a version from Nougat and I had got force close. Today I saw an other version 29.3.B.6.5. Target Android 8. But the status bar and the navbar stay white...

How do I attach an apk? Everything works with my messaging app.

it's possible to use stock conversations with android pie, i'm using it right now (on xz1).
got it from the xz1c chinese firmware (links on xda), but you need to place it on system/priv-app manually and also replace /system/framework/ext.jar with the one from chinese firmware or it will force close (something changed on a google library used to parse phone number function )

Not really, I didn't feel any lag, at this moment works great. Which model do you have? Because I have 2gb ram version, for that reason I don't have a lot of apps running on background.

I also have 2gb ram version. The 3gb ram version was MediaTek so I bought 2gb version because it was having Snapdragon.

When I install using adb install command it says:
ADB failed to install the apk. Failure: Attempt to reinstall com.motorola.launcher3 without uninstalling previous app.

Make sure your on stock Moto firmware.
Download to your phone, navigate to /storage/Downloads (using any file explorer) and click on the app to install.

Installed and works fine on my Moto E4(xt1767)
Verizon variant, except I don't have the dark theme option in the launcher settings. In fact, my launcher settings are different than what is shown in the screenshot you posted in your op.

That settings menu looks to be from the Pixel launcher. Moto launcher doesn't have "At-a-Glace", so it couldn't be an option.

Funny, when I go into settings, it is installed as Pixel Launcher. Go figure.

It shouldn't... and couldn't, Two different package names. It should show up as 'Moto App Launcher'.
Did you have any Pixel Launchers installed previously?

Okay, my bad.
I actually downloaded the launcher from the link in the op of this thread AND the Android P launcher from your other thread. Got the two threads/launchers confused and mistakenly commented on the P launcher on this thread.

This file cannot open ?

Thanks a lot! It works perfectly I had a problem with Google feed on the left and themes, solved this way:
- uninstall this launcher update
- delete data and cache of the previous launcher
- reinstall this
... and there it goes!

Just go into Apps menu, Moto Launcher, hit the three vertical dots in the top right and select "uninstall update for this" or something like this

I'm using Nova launcher PRIME, with Tesla unread and the Nova Google Companion. For the Widget I use Another Widget or the stock Google. (The Official Pixel Launcher will force close, needs to be installed in system/priv-app)
