Hey all!
I'm facing some issues with Mi5 bluetooth I guess. I can pair bluetooth with my car, with a mi speaker, and some other stuff, but I don't know why I cannot pair the Mi Band 2. Yesterday since a MiFit update (2.2.3) and firmware update of the MiBand it doesn't connect anymore. Furthermore, I have tried to connect it in the bluetooth settings and set it as an unlock device, but Android does not find it or cannot connect to the MiBand. I have tried with 6.10.13 and 6.10.20 ( both developer), dirt install, 100% clean install and same result.
Until this point it may seem to be a MiFit/MiBand problem. But unfortunately it's not that easy, I have tried to pair the miband 2 with my Redmi 3 which also has the 6.10.13 (yesterday) and 6.10.20 (today) and it works perfectly the MiBand pairs quickly and with no problems. I don't know if it is a compatibility issue with Android 6, maybe with the release for Mi5 or just my Mi5 has gone crazy.
Any sugestion?
Thanks a lot
I have Mi5 and Mi Band 2, that came out yesterday from Gearbest. I've paired sucessfully with the fake ROM of them. Later on, switched to xiaomi.eu ROM (latest, weekly) and seems ok. Maybe it's due to your Mi Band, I don't think that relates to your ROM. If you do have flashed and wiped all things like you said, it should work.
Try to unpair, sign out from your account and try again to sign in and pair again... try different approaches.
But the problem is that somehow it works perfectly in my Redmi 3 with the same ROM.
Same problem here! With RN3 SD works perfectly...but with mi5 64gb official global ROM I am having connection issues.

Hello everyone,
Everything is perfect on the mi9 (with xiaomi.eu rom ) except the Bluetooth media.
I can connect the mi9 and the Car (phone and media) successfully but when I want to play something the button automaticaty back to "pause" state.
=> No sound
Everything works with any other bluetooth soundbar.
Any idea ?

mi 9 bluetooth problem
Today I bought mi airdots I have some pairing problem with my mi9 device with other devices they work properly please feedback them this bluetooth problems because I have same problem with my car too.
Hey guys I have a strange Wireless Headphones/Airpods bug on my mi 9.
And as reading on the internet, it's not only on the mi9.
Most of the time if I'm connecting my wireless headphones and calling someone. The other Person can't hear me.
I need to mute and unmute my mic on the Phone.
After that's it works.
In one thread for the mix A3 someone suggested to change the sim card slots.
After this the mic was working perfectly.
But now after I rooted my mi9 and and installed Xiaomi Eu instead of the global EU.
The mic stopped to work.
Funny thing it only happens on a Xiaomi Phone
OnePlus with LOS works perfectly.
Hey guys, Merry Christmas!
Out of the blue as I was riding my bike somewhere with GPS on and Bluetooth connected to my speaker everything was going fine.
I got where I supposed to be, the connection was fine and all.
When I wanted to return though, the Bluetooth speaker just wouldn't connect.
I tried turning both the speaker and the phone on and off but nothing changed.
Messed a bit with the developer settings but again nothing changed.
Tried to connect to a few more speakers I have and none connected.
My BFF has the same device and his device connects just fine to my speakers, my device just refuses.
It does *technincally* connect but it says Connected (no media), which is obviously useless in my case because the audio players from the phone's speakers and not the external ones.
For some weird reason, it does connect and play though to my car's Bluetooth. (Seat Ibiza 2020 MY not as it matters)
I changed a few roms and one weird thing I noticed when I was running POSP I think was in the dev options, Bluetooth mode, everything was greyed out besides default.
That's pretty weird if you ask me, I mean SBC AAC and some others *should* be available right?
So my concern is I'm facing a firmware/hardware issue, unfortunately, maybe some persist.img problem?
I ended up flashing with mi flash tool the latest miui 12 europe and global roms without luck, and now I'm in the middle of flashing the Chinese one just in case.
Has anything similar happened to you?
How did you fix it?
I cannot for the life of me find a solution and think about giving up and sending it for repair.
Well after trying lots of roms and whatnot (I even went back to MIUI 10, Android 9) I found out that If I try to connect with my speakers as the first device it won't connect, if I connect to my car or my Airdots and then try to connect to my speakers then it does indeed connect.
I cannot comprehend why this behaviour exists, but at least it is persistent if I don't reboot and I only need to this on the first pairing.
I guess problem solved...?
(it should be able to connect normally, but that workaround is good enough I guess)
Hi ,
Since unit now there is no hope in running android auto on Xiaomi mi 11 ultra ( the Chinese version) and most likely the other Xiaomi phones, I was looking for an alternative solution and found the AAwireless dongle which got good reviews with wide range compatibility, however nothing about Xiaomis especially the Chinese version.
Any one has succeeded in using this dongle with Xiaomi phones?
I take it that you don't want to change ROM to the Xiaomi EU ROM? Android auto works on that version.
I have the AAWireless dongle (waited 6 months...)
And I have the official MI 11 Ultra European model (EEA Rom)
Android Auto works well wirelessly using this dongle.
Won't work now if you have dual SIM, and have call incoming for card that is not connected to data....
Oh yes, i bought one gor both me and my wife, wors line a charm for my Mi 11 ultra.. Can rly recommend it
Im on the EU stable version and now again back to miui. 12.5.20 which is rock stable for me (Chinese version).
I have constant issues with disconnecting Android Auto. I found out that it's related to cell signal. When it's lost the phone is disconnected from the AA dongle and reconnected later when the cell signal is resumed. I tried to contact the developer with no result :-( I think I have to switch back to wire connection.
On my Poco M3 Pro with Miui 13.03 skeuxm rom bluetooth is frequently disconnected from my Amazfit GTS 2 smartwatch and my (various) earbuds. Have to stop bluetooth on my phone and start it again to connect again. My question is if someone else has the same problems or is this just my phone with this rom ?
Redmi Note 10 5G, MIUI 13.0.5.0(SKSMIXM), having nearly the same issue. While listening to audio on various headsets, bluetooth will randomly disconnect after a few seconds to a couple minutes. It will usually reconnect on its own a few seconds later, but keeps doing this. No idea what's causing it. Did just find a similar reported issue from Xiaomi's official report back in January, but that is for the Xiaomi 12/Pro, so I'm not sure if this is a MIUI-wide issue, or just happens to be on this version as well
