Hi
Can anyone advise how to prevent OTA updates to be downloaded automaticaly?
Is there any APK responsible for that and where is located?
Lukish
It seems I resolved the problem.
I found folder: system > priv-app
I have added .bak extension to autoupdater.apk and jidedownloadsui.apk.

Hi guys, can anyone help me on how to extract the update.zip that the OTA updater in the phone downloads, for later use? Thanks.
The file is stored in Downloads folder once it gets downloaded.. just copy it off.

Okay, does anyone have the OTA for 1.29.707.4 ---> 2.24.707.3?
I want to save some space on the internal storage, and since tha system partition is enormous, on 4.3 I integrate the updates into system/app. For example If Facebook gets an update I delete "facebook-xhdpi.apk" and I just move the new facebook from data/app to system/app and voila! Even after a factory reset I have no problems...
But on Kit Kat this is almost impossible. Even after signing the apks, renaming them like the old ones and giving the correct permissions via root explorer they force close. Even Google+ gives a "reinstall-loop" as I call it :crying:
What can I do? Fixing permissions by TWRP doesn't work either.
Open the APK using 7zip, extract the libraries there(the files inside the lib folder), place the extracted libraries inside /system/lib/, delete the libs folder inside the apk, move the apk to /system/app/ or /system/priv-app/ depending what type it is.
Just a warning though... Be careful with replacing already existing libraries in /system/lib/ sometimes they break stuff so if that happens just don't replace them.
Doesn't titanium offer this kind of switch? Have never done it but if it's automated then it's worth a look.
It does... But once you wipe data of the app you moved to system it force closes again. Thing is... System apps doesn't extract libraries in /data/data/ folder hence they force close.

Would it be possible to change the path via titanium or even shift the files via a file explorer? Again haven't done it myself before either.
Also could the apps be added to the ROM you're installing prior to the initial flash?

Hello,
I have an Asus Memo Pad 7 ME176C with WW-3.2.23.201 firmware version and I accidentally deleted TaskManager.apk without making a backup first. The app enable the Boost function from Quick settings.
I extracted and installed the TaskManager.apk from the UL-K013-WW-3.2.23.182-user.zip but I cannot/don't know how to apply patches from OTA 198-201.
The old app is somehow working but is a different color (orange) and does not display correctly the current used memory amount.
If you have a rooted ME176C with WW-3.2.23.201 firmware, please extract TaskManager.apk and TaskManager.odex from /system/app/ and attach them here.
Thank you,
Silviu
So here goes, ww.201 task manager and .odex file.

I forgot to freeze the Motorola OTA with TiBu and got an Update notification this morning....is the OTA file located in /cache? If it is, I think I found it and it's only 2.88MB......called Blur_Version.23.16.3.victara_verizon.verizon.en.US .zip
Can some one confirm the file location for me?
EDIT: That is the file location...I did capture the Update .zip file if anyone needs it.
Yes, that is the OTA file.

Hi everyone,
I have a P9 Plus and have managed to install Nougat, apparently the package with system apps (calculator, bluetooth, etc...) are in another file which I have not been able to install. Does anyone of you have this zip file containing such system apps?
I have tried spcseas file but it seems that it's incompatible with my phone's version. Any link to hw file would be highly appreciated!
Forced update method will be used through dload folder in external memory!
