Hello
I installel on a Asus TF300T running Android 4.2.1 TWRP 2.8.1.0 and then using TWRP KatKiss Android 6.0.1.
Afterthat I installed TWRP 3.0.2.0 using fastboot -i x0xB05 flash revovery ...
So Android 6.0.1 an TWRP 3.0.2.0 are running.
Now I try to root my TF300T, therefore I try to install supersu. TWRP has create a folder /supersu with the following files
- 99SuperSuDaemon
- chattr.pie
- install-recovery.sh
- install-supersu.sh
- libsupol.so
- Superuser.apk
- supolicy
but when I check if the TF300T is rooted (using an app), the app say no.
How can I manually install supersu? Or make TWRP install supersu.
Another question I have: does KatKiss have a developer mod, like the Asus stock Android 4.2.1 (one can enable going to About Tablet)?
Kind regards, jan2101

How to root Nexus 5 without install custom recovery
What is this?
I see several people saying they don't root for not to flash a custom recovery. So, you can do root without flash a custom recovery.
Note:
Tested on Nexus 5 sotck 5.1.1;
Requirements:
- Unlocked bootloader;
- Adb and Fastboot and Nexus 5 Drivers installed on PC;
- Usb debugging enable on your phone;
Downloads:
- Download latest TWRP for hammerhead
- Download latest SuperSu
Instructions:
- Copy SuperSu from your SDcard;
- Open CMD or Terminal into the folder where you placed the Custom recovery and reboot on bootloader:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
- After reboot in bootloader, boot on temp custom recovery:
Code:
fastboot boot recovery_file_downloaded.img
- Your phone will restart in temporary Custom Recovery.
- Now just flash the SuperSU (which you copied to your sdcard before)
- Reboot system
- Enjoy!
Tanks verry good

Hello,
I have a unrooted full stock Xt1078 updated to Marshmallow (6.0), can someone please point me to:
- How-to root? (XT1078 Marshmallow)
- Compatible SuperSu
- Compatible Xposed
Searching around I found some tutorials for Lollipop, and some for Marshmallow but for Xt1069, and I don't know if those are compatible with my model/OS version.
Thanks in advance!
Nevermind, I got it.

Oneplus X (onyx) with OxygenOS 3.1.4 (that is Android 6.0.1)
Flashed OxygenOS 3.1.4 [OnePlusXOxygen_14_OTA_019_all_201611071506_03f73e21449d4d31.zip] using stock recovery, then installed TWRP via fastboot. Finally tried to flash SuperSu from TWRP without success.
official onyx TWRP 3.0.3 == twrp-3.0.3-0-onyx.img
blu spark TWRP == twrp-3.0.2-2_blu_spark.v41-onyx_by-engstk.img
I attempted various combinations, such as:
1. official onyx TWRP 3.0.3 + SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815.zip ==> boot loop
2. official onyx TWRP 3.0.3 + Oxygen_OS3_v2.78_supersu.zip ==> boot ok, no app installed, no root
3. blu spark TWRP + Oxygen_OS3_v2.78_supersu.zip ==> boot ok, no app installed, no root
4. blu spark TWRP + SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip ==> boot ok, no app installed, no root
5. blu spark TWRP + adb sideload (while in TWRP) of Oxygen_OS3_v2.78_supersu.zip ==> boot ok, no app installed, no root
At one time with blu spark TWRP I noticed that the flag for mounting system read-only was checked. I unchecked it but this had no practical effect even after reflashing SuperSu.
When the boot worked I noticed that the first time it boots twice in a row.
I scrambled through all relevant threads on Oneplus and XDA forums: some people report a similar problem, some other people insist that solution 3 works.
Now, after 5, the strange thing is that AdAway works (the file /system/etc/hosts is updated correctly) but Root Checker reports no root and file manager FX blocks when it is about to ask for root permission. I can find no traces of SuperSu in /data/app nor in /system/data/app.
After flashing OxygenOS I wiped Dalvik/ART and cache, but not /data partition because I would like to keep the current apps and settings.
Hi,
As everyone having TWRP recovery, I have a "supersu" folder with installation scripts inside. Sometimes (but not everytime I have a non rooted OS), TWRP proposes to install SuperSU, and then I only have to upate the SuperSU app and it works perfectly.
My question is : how can I manually use these scripts ? I tried launching the "install-supersu.sh" script in the TWRP terminal, but it does not work...anyone have an idea ?
Thanks !
Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 8 using TWRP 3.2.1-0
I have been trying to flash SuperSU using the latest 2.82 zip but keep getting the error "Extracting Ramdisk - Failure, aborting" at the Boot image patcher stage, which is the same error I'm getting when trying to root using SRKtool, both the 2.1 universal version and the 2.0 Huawei version, using option 1 for Mate P8 or option 6 for systemless.
I've downloaded a system root version of SuperSU (google "supersu system mode", first XDA thread, can't post links yet) and flashed using TWRP, it says it has installed but the SuperSU app doesn't show root, and typing "su" in TWRP console doesn't show I can do commands in superuser mode. Can anyone help? I have posted in the relevant threads on the Mediapad M3 forum but it's a relatively small community.
Has somebody solved this very common problem¿
