[WIP][ROM-PORT] Paranoid to sm-t210r (DEAD PROJECT)

warning installing this on your device is at your own risk!!!!, this is an early stage port by a noob(aka FIRST EVER PORT.....) i take no credit for the work thats been done by our cm 11 team or the port to make this port possible. im simply just learning to port for our device and adding some flavour and spice to our device!!
what is it?
paranoid kitkat 4.4.4 (as far as i know its working for SM-T210/R)

i am taking (dev) advice where ever i can get it to improve the rom/port and re-build from scratch
like i said this is my first port so be nice.... I'm learning from piles of half built/outdated tutorials on my free time.
thanks out to all who got our device this far and lets hope it grows from here!! All thanks goes to the Rom base and port devs above and everyone in between because I'm just a casual trying to learn.

I also uploaded it directly to xda if you click download on the tabs above the Rom along with the direct link.
And as of right now its nothing more then the port itself just the files of the two roms cut and paste working .....like I said its a port in progress.
It's still mostly pa framework riding on our cm devs kernel..... the kernel source is still the kernel of cm 11. I'm having issues compiling a working kernel (my first kernel project) once I have a stable working kernel ill upload if I figure it out.....

could not flash
had problems flashing. recovery said error with the update script binary so it couldn't flash the rom. should I change recovery to see if that helps I have twrp recovery..
edit: got it working with phils touch recovery but as soon as it starts up ui crashes and it doesn't seem to want to wake up or screen shuts off

Needs the latest recovery in order to boot. A clean wipe probably wouldn't hurt. Most of the vendor drivers are not working like in the cm build, so its slow working and laggy..... I'm away for the weekend so if I do any work it will be from my tablet. Going to try to start the kernel build this week when I get home.hopefully have my own device tree/kernel up this week....build permitting...

good news will change the op. ill try my best to keep both as this build forks from the cm source. Tho most of the work will be aimed at the 210R as its the device I own.

Hey I just tried this port on my galaxy tab 3. The only bugs I had with it is:
1. No Setup Wizard
2. Very slow and laggy
3.Wifi does not work no matter what
Anyways many thanks for this rom and I believe that once laufersteffenwolf recovers he will try to fix the bugs on these type of roms!
Anyways again many thanks I can't tell you how proud i am for you Rom Developers

planing a theme update with some of the system tweaks/issue fixes sometime this month with the kernel i just built. hoping to have a link up for it this week after some more testing cycle is done to it.

Unfortunately I haven't had time to work on this, however, I may have some time this week. And @gr8nole got hwcomposer working in CM11, so I may try fixing that.

OK, washbeer helped me out, compiling new one, should fix the issue

OK, I think I fixed it, new fixed ROM will be uploaded within 2 hours, please flash it and post screenshots ASAP if it works

edit: well i got it booting.
i simply deleted all audio libs from the zip in /system/lib/hw.
so yes, it's alive but without sound.
what works:
*bluetooth
*wifi
*camera
*automatic brightness
not working:
*audio
*mobile network
some screens attached
edit2: looks like the vendor tree was outdated, sooti is taking care of it

Uploading new build now, should fix sound and network issue

ROM boots after 1 hour...
No sd card (maybe hardware problem has I have mixed with my phone hardware because of hardware buttons don't work).
Now I can't reboot into recovery nor having sd card).
But I can tell that it boots (hardly). and it works .

Strange.. are you sure you flashed correctly? full wipe? others said everything works smooth except the data (3G/2G)

Aeroi is in the same boat, no data. I'm looking for commits on the Nameless gerrit cause it seems to be working there.

BUG's & FC's
- Hey guys thanks for the work that you're doing for the old LG Optimus Black. I ported the rom on my Korean OB Lg KU5900. I flashed KU5900_V30I_00_CP.fls together with [PATCHED]V20B using Smart flash tool to make it P970 and have the Open Recovery. It's amazing because it works. However, I just noticed that the rom is a little bit laggy even no apps have been installed yet. It became more laggy when I installed my other apps. By the way, we're hoping that you'll fix it especially the memory management of the rom coz the phone is only 512MB of ram. Keep it up and waiting for your further developments. Thanks a lot!^^

*CAMCORDER's Audio and Video were not synchronize. There's a delay on movements.
*The ROM lags a lot while gaming and sometimes black screen occurs while you're browsing. You have to remove and re-attach the battery to turn back on.

*Kernel Tweaker always not responding
*Incompatible on some apps

[Rom] p3100 4.9gcc sabermod cm-12.1-r18 unofficial

Hi all, just wanted to share a rom which I built with another toolchain from sabermod.
Rom is of course based on cm-12.1 sources and kernel is basic with no OC options at the moment.
Rom is pretty stable and I had no issues with it so far.
Bugs: I don't know you tell me. None that I know about.
Credits: Thanks to Android-Andi's :good: hard work and possibly others which I don't know about.
If there is someone that needs to be added please let me known and I will give proper credits.
Also a Huge thanks to @shawbon206 for helping out. :good:

Installation: Backup what you need first and do a factory reset and wipe dalvik, system, cache. Flash Rom and Gapps.
Do not update Google Play Services once you are booted as this will reintroduce those issues.
This is a temp fix until I see if there is another way around this issue.
Both Rom and Gapps are in the link above.

That's weird because I don't have any random reboots here.
Sure post the logcat but have you made a clean install? Also are you running xposed?
Edit: Make sure to wipe system dalvik and cache before you flash.

Thanks for the quick reply, Yes I always do a clean wipe including the internal sortage & I only restore call logs,contacts and SMS and nothing else (install all the apps I use freshly),I don't use Xposed or anything else,Use the stock one as in the zip.
The Google streetviews also giving me FC !

Hi I would like to thank you first for this rom. It gave new life to my moms tablet. But I noticed the sound from speakers is too low. Is there a fix?

Turns out that @handsome1_blr was right. I am uploading a gapps package that fixes the issue soon.
Well its a temp fix and hopefully no more random reboots as well.

Well you could also wait for an updated google play services to be released.
That might fix it but, what I have noticed is that the issue is mostly when you enable gps in high accuracy mode.
Well that is the case at least on the rom I am testing.

Well Am okay with waiting but if the reboot continues to occur at the current it'll be almost impossible to wait !
High accuracy mode,now how on earth that does this much damage ! If we disable that will things be better ?

Works better on P3100
Thanks Mz1, I am using P3100. I have tried roms but most build are based on P3110 so in CM 12.1 when Cellular signal drop out it reboots. I am using from last two days and still no reboot happened. Good Rom, Thanks. Try to give updates as soon as possible. I used TKgapps and worked well. Suggest Any other software if you find compatible with P3100. Can i use Sony ported walkman ? or extreme music ?

@TabTapper Don't know about tkgapps, you have no issues with tk? Best gapps I have used is slim zero. Download latest from slim gapps on xda.
Also second build is great on battery life. Will upload today another build as well.

New ROM
HI, Thanks for latest build. I have clean flashed the same. But many soft reboot in settings. Last one was more stable. But i found the way. I changed selinux to enforce from permissive and worked gr8. I have no soft reboot, no call drop or any lag issue. It feels most stable. It is for others who are facing issue of soft reboot specially on P3100.

When doing dirty flash, follow this.
Wipe cache/dalvik/system. Flash ROM, gapps,SuperSU.
So essentially only data is left out of wipe.

Use Us-English as primary language, see if FC is still there? we don't have translations yet, so any other language it can FC.
Also in general to all users, please use US-english as your language till we have correct translations are in place.

i used english us still got FC. I am using Jio sim in india and without selecting apn i am not able to use mobile data:crying:

Btw, this Mobile networks FC is fixed for any language already. I will release a build soon with other changes as well.

Im trying to look into that, unfortunately i don't have Volte SIM to test quickly. We had issues with RIL blobs and we are in this state as of now. Hope we can make progress on Volte soon.

Review of latest build
- It now has none fc (except browser some times but it works fine and can be used)
-some time choppy animation come but mostly its butter smooth
-battery life is excellent and doze on the go works remarkeble almost no battery drain over night
-notification quick reply works but phone hangs a little while doing so(slightly and only some times )
-simple browsing and navigating is gud and ram management is gud too. (Have redmi 2 prime 2gb)
-sensors works most of them but auto brightness didnt worked for me it remained at maximum withoout changing
-MILLION DOLLER QUESTION'S ANSWER ,VOLTE DOESNT WORK ,but ims is implemented by dev so it may work in future
-Bluetooth doesnt work when is used by third party apps (mifile explorer) but worke when used by stock gallery

Update:- After a reboot or 2 now automatic brightness works as it should
-browser fc has also not encountered in this 17 hr of usage

Better don't believe everything you read cause some variants may not be affected by the same bugs, for example I have no issues with the light sensor as someone mentioned. The best thing is that you try it yourself, but I I'd say as long as you don't need volte it can definitely be used as a daily driver. Of course it depends on your use as well.

@premaca while calling using whatsapp, screen always black so I can't end call, even when I press power button.

PS....
I have a small walkthrough I am making explaining how to update from MM 6.x to NN 7.x before people try to flash your ROMS/Ports.
I am sure a few people LIKE ME, were not thinking and tried to flash your NN roms without updating from MM first.
I will post later in some forum .. not sure which. Unless you want to add to your OP's.

Thanks man. The instructions on how to update to nougat are already listed in the j700t threads.i mean that is good if u want to take the time to do it for those who have not read up. It's all in there. Thanks for the kind words and the other posting today was a duplicate

Thanks for trying our work we appreciate it. These ports give us experience and we love doing it. Our next big project is a full note 8 port. 7.1.1 nougat and we have a working rough draft so prob after Christmas we will have it done

it will be the DNA ROM port because of the DNA dev told me that it was carrying 7.1.1 for the other versions of the J7 or work in a ROM of its own

Awesome !!! I miss my Note 7.

V3 about to come out. Direct port of the a3 rom. Rebased on a710f firmware. With a whole bunch of extras. Fast and light.

This is a very nice ROM, but I'm having issues with the lockscreen, whether I set a pattern or a pin. I have to attempt an unlock several times before it'll unlock. Is there a way fix that?

No fix, nougat bug. Its on every ROM including stock. Keep tapping the screen after entering pin and or hit recent. Should make it faster.

Thanks for the quick response and your work on these roms. Really fantastic stuff. One more question if you don't mind. Do I need to flash magicdisk before I install this ROM? Some tutorials say I do. Magicdisk is new to me, I've been off the scene for a while.
