Is there any way to use 02's 4g in UK. Because I am on TESCO mobile (which uses 02)

Hi All,
I currently live in the USA and I have a AT&T branded Kaiser and a Hyperdragon III BlackStone ROM on T-Mobile USA network.
I know that the phone does not actually support T-Mobile's USA 3G network but could anyone tell me if I can take advantage of the European 3G networks with this phone? I'll be travelling in the UK and Spain and would really like to use it as amodem for my laptop when there is no wifi around.
Any info would be appreciated
anyone know?
I have an unlocked 02 HD7 which I brought with me before emigrating from the UK.
I am currently using it on Rogers, however I am thinking of upping sticks and moving to windmobile which is AWS. I know that the HD7 was sold be TMO US so it is AWS compatible but was this a different hardware to the O2 version or is there a way to get it to work on AWS (radio rom flash etc.)
Thanks
Tim
Shameless bump, anyone know the answer. Or alternatively know if you can use a Euro HD7 on TMo US?
Tim
From what i know about O2 is that they don't use the same frequencies as such changing the radio version won't do any good as the physical antenna design wont work with the AWS frequencies. your best bet would be to sell the HD7 and buy a new one a Tmo version. I bought mine about a week ago for $425CAD in Toronto and am now using it on Wind.
They're different hardware. The Bell HD7 doesn't work on WIND for the same reason.
Thanks for you help, hoped it wasn't the answer but guess I will sell up and move on.

I have the T-Mobile N1 (1700/2100 I believe) and was wondering if it would get 3g on any service provider in the UK, and if so what service provider(s) will it work on? Any help would be appreciated, thanks
Yes, your Nexus One is fully compatible with all GSM/UMTS providers in Europe - you won't have to worry about supported frequencies.
so I'll get 3g on all of them as opposed to edge?
Yes, you will be able to get UMTS ("3G") reception wherever it is available and will be able to use the faster data standards HSDPA and HSUPA on your Nexus One, just like with T-Mobile US, on all networks.

that's great. thank you so much for the reply
I know you've got your answer now but just so you're certain I live in England and bought my N1 back in January, straight from America on their T-Mobile network. Been using both Orange UK and GiffGaff (on O2 network) since then for 3G without a problem.
cool. thanks for confirming this
Really interested in this over the HTC One due to micro sd and bigger battery
I've found it here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-SIM-F...67970?pt=UK_Mobile_Phones&hash=item1e7fd338e2
They say:
O2
Virgin
Orange
T-Mobile
Vodafone
Tesco
3G/4G Network Compatible. Call 3 to confirm full compatibility.
My network is "3"... will this phone work on my network? (and the upcoming 4g service they will launch in December)
Thanks
As long as it's the 901S version it will work on EE & 3's 4G Network, not sure on their 3G. Works with EE's 3G though.
Hi all sorry for my english
I would love to purchase the new Lumia 1520 but not easy to find here in Canada.
Luckily I found one in a store but was told its the international version that was released in Honk Kong she also told me it runs on the 2600hz or something like that
Is there a way for me to know 100% if it will support LTE here in Canada?
Thanks in advanced.
A) depends on the carrier
B) the bands that the phone supports, and the bands each carrier uses, are a matter of public knowledge. Look them up!
Hi, I'm from Turkey. A friend of mine had a BlackBerry 9900 formerly and it supports 3G. He had bought it from Europa, so in Turkey, although it supports 3G, doesn't work. He had to spin out using 2G.
