Hello fellow XDA members,
Since we all want Nougat on our Nexus 6's ive been struggling with a problem, my NavBar used to have a Search Button which made me able to click that button to search on all browsers, also in google market the search button works great.

This is how i like it!
Now in Nougat you can't add a search button for some reason, there are lots of options but not the search one sadly.
Ive tried to copy my /system/usr/keylayout/ from the 6.0 rom to the 7.0 but obviously that dindt work, is there a way i can add it manually? or change it when i added another button?
Any help is appreciated.
I also wanted this feature. Ended up using Nitrogen OS rom for nexus 6. Which allows me to set double tab on home buttom to work as 'in app search' thus getting the same search functionality without the button.

I recently went back to stock from Cloudy G3, and under voice actions under Google Now, I have the option for From Google Search app, From Any Screen, and From Lock Screen. With just run From Search App checked I use to be able to run a search from the home screen on the G3 ROM, as long as the Google search widget was there. Does it not work from the stock G2 ROM this way? The only way to get a Ok Google to work from the home screen now is if I have both From Google Search app checked, and From Any Screen checked.

Is there any dev who could make a module that turns CM12.1 recent menu into one that looks more like Samsungs? I like it much more with the button layout:

Click to collapse
move this to the module section

Has anyone else noticed that ever since OOS hit nougat, the way it handles linking phone numbers has changed and become a pain in the butt? Now, when I click a phone number, I'm only given the option to add a contact or to close out and go back to the app I was using before. There's no option to actually dial that number... See attached screenshot.

Hey guys,
Since everyone hates the onscreen Navigation bar I found this cool software from developers
MishaalRahman, Zacharee1 from XDA Developers
We always hate it when this literally takes half of our screen

So after adding this app this app you can actually use the gestures without issues like messing with the default launcher
or accidentally pressing home button.
Here's the Play Store link for the app

Here's the YouTube video explaining the app and how to use ADB commands
