Dear all,
I just noticed that my NFC doesn't seem to work, i did check with several cards, also with several apps.
I have rooted my P9 Plus, but it's the original Rom, so its just unlocked.
Do you have any idea how to get NFC working again?
Thanks

Hi guys. I am dealing with some serious problems with this Xperia Z1.
First of all my friend gave me the Z1 of some dude. That guy was modifying it - rooting, bootloader and everything - and said that NFC just stopped working. He tried so many roms and different configurations and nothing worked.
Finally he just ended up with returning to stock. And NFC still didn't work.
Then I gave it a try. Same procedure - root, unlock, custom recovery, custom roms, kernels etc.
Nothing.
I've read about renaming the usf folder to usf1 to get the NFC to work.
Nope. Phone just creates his own usf folder after reboot. I deleted that folder multiple times and it always comes back.
Finally I got to a point where I must force shutdown the phone because it just won't shutdown on its own or reboot.
Wifi stopped working on KitKat - on Lollipop the switch just hangs for about 30 seconds and then turns on.
What is also interresting I can't enter the Configuration option in service menu because it hangs and force closes.
Model is Xperia Z1 6902
Help me, please. I have no idea what to do.
Hi,
Seems something is wrong with the device wireless. Since neither the WiFi, nor the NFC is working, my S4 already showed a similar problem and was solved flashing another modem, have you tried flashing another baseband on your Xperia Z1?

It turned out that I was flashing firmwares for a wrong model. It's not 6902 but 6903...
Fortunately I got rid of all the problems except the NFC ofcourse.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Can you give me more details about how is the NFC behaving? You press the button and it doesn't turn on? It turns on but it doesn't works? Because since the other wireless features are working I wonder if it's a hardware problem.
All the best,
~Lord

It's not possible to turn on the switch. But I don't mess with this bullcrap anymore; the guy took back his Z1. Probably it's just a hardware problem. Case closed.
Hi, I would like to know why p8 lite are failing wifi, is it remittance or do they all fail? I have been told that September 2015 is true?
Does anyone know why they fail exactly if it is a manufacturing or are they all X time? Thank you
What are you talking about? Do you have any issues with wi-fi connection?
Its a hardware issue me and some members in this forum had to sent phones to the warranty to be fixed

I never had that problem, P8 Lite, 574 ROM
Hi, I also have the 574 rom yet after installing a emui software update a couple of months ago, the wifi slider is greyed out. There's no way to connect to wifi or bluetooth. Ive unlocked and rooted it, could installing an older rom fix the issue or is this hardware related? Thanks in advance

I had same problem and thought hardware was broken but it got fixed when I wiped everything in TWRP and then installed newest firmware. If u test this please take backup before wiping things.
had wifi issues as well. while i was in my holiday the wifi, bluetooth, NFC stopped working. cellular data and GPS were still working properly.
phone was in warranty and they gave me a new one telling me it was a harware problem
My P9 was on an older Nougat version already, I can't remember which one.
Then i got a message there was a new version (L09C432B378) available.
Because my P9 was unlocked and rooted, OTA would not work, so i Googled a bit and found out that B386 was already available so i downloaded that version from here, unlocked with SRK tool and then my phone went into an eUpdate boot loop.
I put the downloaded firmware on an SD-card and installed it by pushing all buttons.
I was very happy the update went pretty well. Up untill the moment I wanted to pair my P9 with my headphones.
No go. I can't turn on Bluetooth on my P9.
When i tap the bluetooth switch, it looks like it is getting started, but after a a few seconds it is greyed out again.
Anybody here familiar with this problem? And is there a way to fix this?
My phone was annoying me because android os/system was keeping my device awake. So I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and wiped everything in TWRP. now I tried to flash RR and my baseband/imei is gone!
I tried to flash the stock rom with sp flash tool and it's still got no imei/baseband. I tried 2 firmwares for the XT1771 and both are the same.
I'm in the UK and need the UK files for the XT1771!!!!
Please, I need to fix this!
yeh i have the same problem too i have had it for about 2months now.

Hi guys
I'm not a newbie but I've no more ideas to solve the lost nfc funktion.
My device is sweetin.
I didn't checked nfc before, in the meantime I've flashed cherishos, derpfest, arrow .....and octavios.
Some days ago I decided to try nfc in octavios but there were nothing to find ...no toggle in qs tiles ...no settings about nfc.
So I started to flash and test some ROMs. no success, again and again no nfc toggle. Tried some nfc fixes like nfc willow fix...no success.
All flashing was clean with format yes.
I've decided to flash stock sweetin 12.0.10 via twrp, no success. again with mi flash utility and I've locked the bootloader to get really factory reset. Flashing no probs, booting and updating to 12.5.2 no probs.
But no nfc button.
Unlocked bootloader again, flashed xiaomi.eu
Now nfc toggle is back but not working.
Flashing octavi os, nfc button still present BUT not working (can't activate nfc)
Hopefully someone can help with ideas suggestion solutions?
Thanks in advance
- unfortunately you'll not be able to use NFC ever on your phone
- you can't use something that is not physically there
- sweetin has no NFC implemented, because it's a phone specifically for Indian market, and for whatever reason they don't use NFC there
