Trouble with Xposed on Galaxy Note 5 - Xposed General

I've tried installing Xposed several times now with no luck. I install in TWRP, reboot, and then my phone sits on a black screen with the blue light for forever until it goes to the Sprint LTE logo and then just stops there. I end up having to shut my phone down (which won't happen unless it's plugged in to charge), go back into TWRP, and then use the Xposed uninstaller. Then when I reboot, everything loads back up perfectly. I don't really know what's causing this? I apologize as I'm kind of a noob to rooting & such.
I have a Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920P on Android 6.0.1. Any advice?
(The only reason I really wanted to get Xposed is so I could install a module to bypass the root status for Snapchat...lol)

If you running stock 6.0.1 and not a CM ROM you need the specialized one for Samsung. Check this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=62377731
Don't forget after flashing it you should wipe caches, and it will take a little while to boot the first time after flashing Xposed

The file you sent worked great still can't get into Snapchat though, but that's another issue. RootCloak doesn't do anything for it.

Suhide hides root from snapchat, but Snapchat doesn't want you to have Xposed. There is a work around involving backing up app data on an unrooted, no Xposed phone and restoring that app data on rooted and Xposed phone

I have tried several things and have been unable to get Snapchat to login. I have a backup of a logged in Snapchat from an unrooted device and when I install it onto my rooted phone, the app just logs me out.

Maybe remove Xposed, then unroot, root systemless(at least SR2), root switch, then turn off root and login. Once logged in turn root back on and install Xposed. Should work

I'll try that. I flashed from Odin to wipe everything off and Snapchat works, but I don't have TWRP anymore. Even without Xposed and root, even when I JUST had TWRP, Snapchat wouldn't let me log in. But I'll try what you told me and hope it works

So after a bunch of trouble with my phone, I'm left with what I can only assume are leftover files of Xposed that I didn't get off my phone when I flashed the uninstall file. I'm not rooted and only have TWRP, but Snapchat still refuses to let me login.

I ran the uninstaller for Xposed again and it seems to have wiped the rest of the files because snapchat now lets me login. Now time to follow the instructions you gave me before w/ systemless rooting my NAND is backed up too just in case I screw up again.

[Q] Help please, I have bricked my phone after trying TWRP and installing CM11

Hi guys. I'm going to apologize in advance that I am a noob when it comes to hacking and rooting. I've successfully gained root access to my Verizon LG G2 using my computer. I used originally used an app called G2 Tweaksbox that allows you to change a lot of things about the phone. But then I wanted to try the famous CM 11. I did the tutorial on youtube, but I didn't install the GAPPS zip. Then I rebooted my phone and now it became stuck on the LG startup screen but looping over and over again. I've tried to hard reset it but it won't work. Is there any possible way to fix this, because I used another family members upgrade to get this phone after I broke my last one? Please don't judge but please help me if you can.:crying::crying::crying:

If you did a nano backup then restore that if not you are going to have to do the revert back to stock. But for your information for later on. If you install xposed with any modules. Make sure to properly Uninstall all them before you change roms or make any changes
One last thing the official cm rom is no longer supported. No one to work on the g2 anymore

I had issues with my phone messing up if I kept xposed with modules installed still when I did clear all and installed a rom. Not sure why but I Uninstall now and no issues anymore. I actually lost knock on once leaving xposed installed. I confirmed it with going back to my nano Uninstalling xposed and knock on worked fine

That's an odd one since Xposed runs in /system. Were you wiping /system and /data without restoring anything on a clean install?

Yeah I downloaded xposed and I got the latest module for support. I had no idea that you needed to delete them after you wanted to download a new ROM. Okay so do I fix this? My phone is stuck looping on the LG bootup message and the only way I can stop it is by hard reseting it and that just turns it off. How do I access it on my computer and reflash the stock? Please help.

Once your phone is off, hold up and plug it in to your computer. This should put you in download mode. Hopefully you have all the drivers installed...

Help Please

I installed Xposed Installer and followed the instructions now my phone keeps restarting itself.
Any Idea how to fix? I rooted following these instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066390
and followed these to install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2727372&page=2
What do you mean by restarting itself? Deinstall xposed again and check if you actually have root access (there is an app called root checker)

Just did that. I do not have root access according to root checker. before i installed xposed it said i was rooted. I was able to restore it in recovery from a backup i did. any Idea how I can get this going. I really just want to root to use the Dot View Case Hack.
I always recommand a toolkit of ome isnt that familiar with rooting and this stuff. Go take a look at wugfresh toolkit. It helps a lot!
But your bootloader is open, right?

Open supersu. Is xposed listed under apps? If no, then just reinstall the xposed app. To install your module, go to http://repo.xposed.info/module-overview, search for dot view hack, download and install it. In xposed you supposed to activate your module and do a reboot. Finish!

Ok. So I DL the xposed app and installed it. I select framework then Install/Update and reboot, when i power it back on and open it says the following message
"app_process version 58 has been installed previously but version "---" was found now. If you didn't expect an old file to be restored, you might want to try installing via recovery auto or manual"
Should it say this?
Try to follow that suggestion. You seem to have a device that resets /system on a reboot.

I guess a module is incompatible with your phone but I may be wrong (just my opinion). You are going through a bootloop. I had one of these last week and had to disable xposed to uninstall it. I think you can find it in /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files/Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip I got the info from this link: https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-disable-xposed-installer/ flashed the uninstaller with my twrp recovery, rebooted, uninstalled incompatible module, installed xposed again via xposed installer app and your done (if what I said is the case). Hope this helps. Good luck.
No, it's not an incompatible module. My phone won't boot as soon as I flash xposed. It has nothing to do with modules.

I'm just trying to help you get past the bootloop since idk what the problem is (it was just an opinion). If you installed Xposed, you get the uninstall zip file. That disables Xposed for you to fix it.

Nervous about uninstalling Xposed

So I rooted and installed Xposed right when it was released for 6.0.1. Since my phone's been running fine since...I kind of forgot about everything and left it alone.
Now I want to uninstall/reinstall Xposed, but I seem to recall something about uninstalling causing a bootloop. I have the stock recovery right now (would FlashFire work though?) and I'm not sure if I need to flash, or will uninstalling from the Xposed app itself work fine? Could anybody help?

The N6 is pretty bullet-proof as far as modding phones goes. I don't use Xposed, but I thought there was an uninstall zip:
xposed-uninstaller*.zip from http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/: Can be flashed with a custom recovery (e.g. TWRP) to uninstall the framework.

FlashFire was developed by Chainfire on an N6 (at least in part). I would take a fastboot backup using FF then if there is an option to uninstall within xposed, I'd go ahead and try it. If there is a problem, then use Fastboot to restore. This way, you can restore the FF backup without having to install TWRP on the phone.
I've personally done this several times while trying to make Snapchat work, nothing happened. For me, the bootloops where caused by a module and not Xposed itself.
Unless you're doing something funky like me, you'll be fine.

Only way to run snapchat on rooted phones is first install snapchat on non rooted firmware then sign in.
Once signed in now you can root your device and it will work fine.
If you want to flash another rom you can backup snapchat app+data by titanium backup app and restore it after flashing new rom and it won't ask for sign in again.

Is xposed framework installed? Notice that if you have xposed installed Snapchat will not let you use it. It's not a matter of phone being rooted, it's rooted w/ xposed installed alongside.
Only way I fixed this problem was a clean flash of current ROM and logging in before installing xposed.
