So anyone have any ideas about the Case-Mate case for the Streak labeled "Express Horizontal" ? I've been looking for the right case for awhile now, and am really hoping it's a leather wallet-style with kickstand, like Dell's but better/cheaper. I can't seem to find any information, and they don't have any comparatively named cases for other phones that I can see... just wondering if anyone else knew/cared.
The other, Barely There, is pretty easily guessed by Case-Mate's additional offerings and not as interesting.
I looked at the Case Mate site and was really unimpressed with the operators attitudes towards prospective customers
They have a feature on the website whereby you can suggest a product idea, for example a "Dell Streak case"... If you look at some of the replies to people offering them ideas, the replies are pretty curt and impolite.
So, Otterbox got my money...
I really like case-mate stuff, they have some products pending production for the Streak but no ETA yet unfortunately.

Well i have the Case-Mate Tough Case on my Galaxy S which is a two piece case and now i have the Otterbox Impact case on my Streak which is a one piece case and i much prefer the Otterbox case. I think its of better quality and the buttons are much easier to use then with the Case-Mate case plus of course I'm using the Otterbox case now as opposed to waiting for Case-Mate to even release theirs and the larger case for the Streak was cheaper then the Case-Mate case for the Galaxy S to.

So I'll be picking up an AT&T Note II this friday, I've already got a little silicone case as a place holder but I'm wanting some kind of super ruggedized case for my Note II. I've looked at the OtterBox cases for it and I really don't like them, they seem less protective than my original Note's OtterBox. So what case would you guys recommend? Thanks!

Look at the Trident cases. They aren't out yet (due mid-Nov), but they're very good and tough. Usually a wide variety and lots of additional accessories.
+1 on the Trident cases! These guys make good cases too.

bellow are pics of 2 of their cases I recommend, there is a third which is ok but sucks to take off so I wouldn't suggest it

It seems to me that none of the big boys in the case market don't think there is a market to make cases for the Nexus line of phones (5x/6p).
I've sent emails to UAG and lunatik, a facebook message to Otterbox and got the responses that there is either no information or no interest in making the cases for these phones.
This is a call for you to bug those companies to show them there is demand for good quality cases for the Nexus line of phones.
Once the reviews come out there will be more demand but for now let's make some noise and email or flood the Facebook pages to let them know that we want the cases.
If we can show them there's people who will buy them maybe they will get their head out of their asses and put in the effort
Post who you have emailed and update with responses. With some luck and effort, we might be able to change their minds

I wish UAG would make cases for this phone, but it sounds like they will not. I already posted on their Facebook page day 1 and also filled out their online form that users can request what new phones they want added. However I highly doubt we will see any cases from them, they have great cases but their phone support is abysmal

I contacted Seidio and they said that they didn't have any plans at the moment to make a case for the N5X. Although I did hear this same answer from them before when the N5 came out. Seidio eventually made cases for the N5 and I'm hoping that they make the same cases for the 5X since I love using their belt clip case for my N5. I personally like to use a belt clip case because I find it uncomfortable to have my phone in my pocket.
Now that the phones are starting to ship, let's bug the manufacturers again

I am a big fan of the Seidio Surface cases and clips. I have been using them since my Blackberry days. I got the ringke case and am satisfied with it for now, but I haven't been able to find any clip/case set even remotely similar to the Seidio, hard and slim case that spring-snaps into a belt clip case. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm a fan of holsters too... but it's almost 2016 and, apparently, they are not "cool" anymore...
Wait for Seidio. I've used their cases & holsters for years and nothing else I've tried compares.
I'm in the same boat, holster cases are what I use but there's not much of a selection yet, hopefully we'll see some more manufacturers produce some, for now I'll just have to settle for whatever I can find on Amazon.
Supcase has one for their more "durable" case
I usually use a holster with no case. I received a response from Seidio and they are not planning making one for the 5x!

I'm looking for the same thing but unfortunately I had to settle for one of the more rugged ones, hopefully someone will be releasing something soon.

It is a little thick, but what were you expecting? The description said that's what it was and usually the 2 piece cases aren't thin. I hadn't used the previous versions so I guess I'm not sure how they were built before.
I got one too and am fine with it, but I also normally use two layer cases so that's why I got it. All of the cut outs are good, it has a flat back while keeping camera off of the surface and it clips around the phone well enough that I can't just push the phone out of the case. It would be a little nicer if the buttons weren't set in as much as they are but it's not a huge deal to me.

I am looking for a holster case like the defender series from otterbox. Ideally I would like it to allow wireless charging and samsung pay (nfc) as well.

You could probably get away with NFC with that, wireless charging's a no-go though. Anything over 0.9” inch I'd say would have a very hard time wirelessly charging. Your best bet is to wait for the phone to be out and bump your thread as ask again when people can actually test stuff. I wouldn't even trust what the CSRs are saying because it's unlikely they have actually used and tested it on the phone themselves.

I bet it will work fine for both... I am also looking for a holser-included case, and in my searching, I found that plenty of people are able to use wireless charging capabilities (Note 5, etc) even using the otterbox defender cases, and same with Samsung Pay features..... works fine in the case. The Supcase Unicorn Beetle (who names these things, anyway :laugh: ) Is not as thick as the otterbox defender, it's closer to the commuter in that respect, which is not bad at all.
Now, it's not out yet, but Seidio is working on cases/holsters for both S7 variants.... I have used them (and the Premier BB versions) on multiple phones and they have held up really well. I'll be waiting for one of those, if I can last that long.

I agree stupid awful name. LOL At least there is no picture of a Beetle with a unicorn horn on it or something stamped on the back!
I figured they were covering their butts in case it didn't but I am able to get a wireless charge on my s5 with a defender case and this looks so much thinner then that. I just hope that my bank is able to work with the Samsung Pay. I have heard there are only a few that it works with at the current time and since I bank with a smaller bank I doubt it will

How about a custom leather Holster case that can be sized to fit your phone with the Otterbox case on? Yes thats right those exist and Story Leather makes phone holsters that can be sized to fit any phone with any case! Check out Story Leathers website and look under Phone Holsters

WOW.. Not my style but way to break the bank. They have them for the s7 but not edge. I can't see $100 for a leather case for my hip. I'd rather do the 5 or 10 ones and hope they last! LOL

Right! Very pricey I say too but leather is pricey either way if its good. But I do know that they can size any Holster to the S7 Edge even if you have a case on it because I use their deerhill holster for my iPhone 6 Plus with an Incipio case on it

Any idea if that case from Best Buy will work with wireless charging? That seems to be pretty much just what I'm wanting as well, but I'd prefer the Seidio Dilex Pro with kickstand like I've used on my S3 and S5, but don't know when it will be out.

It should work with wireless charging. I added a wireless charging circuit in my S4 and I have the same case on my S4 and it works fine doing wireless charging.
