While I love the Dash charging functionality, I also want to have something available with a longer cable (6ft). I did some searching around here and many people seem to be saying that they see speeds around 1.5A using a third-party charger and cable. I am using the Anker PowerPort 2 with Monoprice USB-A to USB-C Cables. This combination has worked to charge other USB-C phones at around 1.6A (my wife's Nexus 6P and my dad's Pixel). With my OnePlus 3 I am only seeing 0.5A charging as though it sees it as a computer USB port.
Can anyone recommend a specific charger/6ft cable that will actually charge the OnePlus 3 at a reasonable speed?
I am getting 1.5A with powerport 2 and anker powerline+ cable with my op3.
So I think your problem ist not the charger, unless there is no difference between us and Europe version

I just use a Choetech charger (Type-C) or any of my A-> chargers. Or I use my BB 1.,8a charger with a USB C adapter.
All my chargers get like 1.3-1.5a but its whatever.

Dies anyone use the Anker 5-Port USB C as a charger for their phone? Is it capable of charging rapidly? As fast as the original LG charger?
Sent from my Nexus 5x
I actually have one of these and the PowerCore+ 20100 USB-C, which I highly recommend. I feel like the 5-port charger charges the phone a few minutes slower than the LG, but the rapid charge still works. If you need a battery pack the PowerCore+ can charge my phone at least 5 times on one charge. I charged my Nexus and 2 iPhones the other day and it only used 30% of the battery.
I use the 5 port charger to charge my phone, my Nook HD+, my 3DS, Microsoft Band, and my battery pack, and it still does rapid charge.
I finally bought the Anker 5 Port USB C charger and I can definitely recommend this one as it charges my 5X at almost the same speed as the LG charger. Plus,I can charge my other usb devices simultaneosly

I don't have the version with the C port, but I do have a couple of the Anker 5-port chargers. Using a in-spec USB C to A cable, I get 2.35 amps out of the 5-port charger hooked to my 5X. The OEM charger is rated 3.0 amps, but I don't have a tester for USB C. I would assume it is close to that 3.0 rating. Either way the Anker is pretty close so charge time will only be slightly longer.
I have some more test results in my Slow charger thread.
Overall I'd say you can't go wrong with Anker products. I've now used their chargers, hubs, and card reader. All their products have been quality pieces.
Anker is great. However I do not need a charger like that as all my devices will be scattered on the desktop.I bought a great 4-port USB Charging Station from "ipely" on Amazon. .My honey 6P,iPad3,Kindle,bluetooth headphone could be charged at the same time and everything organized. That is great I think.

How small? I have yet to find a battery bank that has type-c that's less than 20,000 mAh. Then at 5,000 mAh and below, I haven't found one that does 2.4 A. Most are 1.0A and a few are 2.0A. I have an Anker 10,050 mAh with a type-a to type-c 1 foot cable. It does 2.4A and is advertised at the smallest 10,000 mAh battery pack.

You can use any power bank you like.
You just need the appropriate cable and or adapter.
There are many under 5000mah to choose from

I got myself one of the cylinder-like powerbanks from anker. They are micro-usb, but Anker sells a Micro USB to USB-C plug (no cable, just a small convertor). Works like a charm. Enough to charge the phone at least once.

Just keep them together with the cable in the small pouch Anker gives with all their products. Works like a charm.
I also have a big 15000mah one for when I expect to be without an outlet for a few days. But that's a bit heavy to carry around 24/7
Xiaomi Mi Pro 10'400 mAh is pretty good. Using it for few days with Anker type-c cable, works fine.

Thinking about getting a Oneplus 3 to replace my LG G3.
I have a question on chargers. I have (as i am sure we all do) loads of usb micro cables and chargers. I realise to get dash charging i will need to use the included charger and cable. But can i stil use my existing micro usb chargers, with an adaptor, to charge the new phone? I know it wont be dash charging.
And similarly. Can i use the dash charger with a usb c to micro adpater to charge my other devices that dont use dash?
You can, but it won't be dash charging (4A) nor USB-C fast charging (3A), it will be USB-C non fast charging (1.5A)
I agree with 2x4. I liked at a 5 pack of adapter's last week. Not sure I need that many but I do have many micro products. Plus I can leave one in each car and pocket and backpack. Might need more! Lol

Good advice - thanks! I too have many chargers, cables, etc (some of them almost 5 + years old). Managing all of them can sometimes be a real pain actually.
I've bought a cheap cable for my Huawei P10 (also type C) but it doesn't work on my new OP 5T.
Is this common or rare. If i need an other cable should it be an OP cable then?
Question first: which Charger do you use?
Dash Charger only works with Dash Cable.
Other Cables do fine with normal Chargers like Choetech Anker or Aukey
the sooner one plus just adopt the generic USB_PD or even Qualcomm 4+ the better. DASH is too niche. My QC 4+ Razer Phone charges as quickly as the OP Dash

I think it was a Apple plug with usb port ... i was at my work so i have improvise
Dont want to dash charge, only normal charge but that won't work
And 6ft usb c that supports supercharge?
I've Ankey 1 USB Quick Charge 3.0 and working fine on my MAte 10 Pro with Waze started. Mobile charging (but slower than original charger it's logical regarding Quick charge 3.0).

Is what I found on Amazon for the best price at the time. Yes the car charger does Super Charge.
You need 5A Charger and cable for the supercharge (or at least something near)
Does 2.4A work, too.? Of course with slower charging rates but using the whole 2.4A? Want to use it with a supercharge cable.

Yes. It will work, I currently use an Anker charger. It's just a bit slower than Supercharge.

Has anyone found an adaptor that allows 3.5mm jack for audio and USB C for charging that supports fast charging at all? Even 2.4a would be ok. I have found one online from flosmall that claims 2a, but I don't know if that's really enough. I regularly run Waze and listen to podcasts (downloaded) or Spotify (streaming) and the adaptor I got off eBay charges really, really slow. I also need a new car charger, so the responses in this thread have already been helpful on that front.
You can buy an original Huwaei Car Charger with SuperCharge support at http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/qjQJqba
I am asking about a 6ft usb cable that support supercharge, I have no idea why everyone talking about Qualcomm charger, this is not a Samsung thread smh
https://www.amazon.es/Acocobuy-Carg...8&qid=1521544897&sr=8-11&keywords=cargador+5a
This one has 2.4a and Supercharge 3.0
I got myself original Huawei AP38 car charger and it came with cable in package. Works absolutely like a charm and it is well worth the money. No difference from wall charger in terms of charging speed
There are plenty usb cables that work with supercharge just look for one that supports 5A current. I have a very long one close to 2m/6ft, works very well with huawei car charger and normal charger
The thing with supercharge and the cables is that most chargin technologies require a maximum of 2 or 3A. Up to 3A is a usb standard so all usb cables support that. A higher current is usually never needed because standard usb protocols dont support it. 5A current requires a different structure of the cable. And since supercharge uses up to 5A current we need to get special cables.

This one works with Supercharge and is 2M long this one
Car charger supercharge original with 1M cable here
$7.50 USD and it works fine as a Super Charger - just need to make sure the cable is rated to 5A - https://www.tomtop.com/p-k6492.html...878GgH-bDYvgzzFhq5JIYDMB9v0dEw8YaAucfEALw_wcB
