U can't get the newest device all the time
Keep in kind our phone is still great, just enjoy it! This upgrade is so minor lmao.
They are out of amoled screens now they go for optic amoled (ips) screens ! Love my op3 with amoled screen!!!
Will wait on op4 to see how expensive it will be!!!
Why becoming so expensive , if you drop your phone and the screen breaks than you have to wait for a long time to fix it , an other brand you can fix it the same day so they can't make it much more expensive than this. If they do I'll buy another brand!
This is a ridiculous move by OnePlus. Why the hell are they advertising OP3 so much if they already had OP3- Gen 2 in works. Maybe they wanted to clear the stocks? I don't give 2 $hits about the 821 being used or 128GB internal. My only issue is a new camera module. That's not fair with the existing OP3 users and OP should have really thought about it.
Sorry guys you are ridiculous... Get a life... Another model so what?

smh so oneplus is like sony now? man, I hate this
Got my OP3 in August, and I don't want to lose developer support. Why did you do this OnePlus?

As long as the storage is the same and it still uses a HD screen, hopefully the ROM will be the same. If this is the case, it may actually be a good thing in respect of development.
I had an LG Gpad 8.3 which was pretty much an LG G2 in tablet format. As the development was so good on the G2, the Gpad always benefitted.
Guys, i think it won't be a phone. OnePlus 3T will be a Tablet in my opinion. It just doesn't make sense to make another flagship phone, when the current is still top, and everybody buying it... :/

Only once a year it comes around. For me it means a new phone, I don't really care about the cost because its a yearly thing. So the question is what kind of phone to buy. I'm bound to a sim card so it's most likely going to be a T-Mobile phone. K so the question is what to buy I was thinking about a Nexus-s or a Droid 2 global because they both have Sims. Any idea's? I'm looking for power, speed, flexibility (rooting) and looks. I'm still rocking a good old g1 but I'm a little obsessed with (ORD) obsessive rom disorder.. some of you can relate.

I'll wait til I have money for a HTC dual-core that transforms and kick hippie ass all night and party everyday.
You will need a lot of patience then...
If I was rich.. I would be switching to Spring and getting an EVO mmmm HTC Evo 4G.
No need to be rich, just visit frequently marketplace and you can get a great deal over there

Patience is a virtue that I have virtually none. But I love my Desire soooooo much that I'll not give it up. Except maybe for a Meizu M9. Anyone has it here?
It looks nice

My GF's in freezing, fouled-up Beijing. I'm advising her to get the Meizu M9 if she insists on an Android... Company owes her some relocation cash and she's running out of ideas on how to spend it.
I'll stick to the Desire until they manage to root the Meizu

HTC has by far the best phones in terms of materials. Samsung is all plastic, I would much rather have an all Aluminium body. LG is...well I think we all know what LG is right now... so they're out.
And don't forget Nexus will be Open Source no matter who makes it! I'm excited about this phone, I wonder what Ice Cream Sandwich is like.
Cheers
HTC will no longer lock their bootloader... it will be open season or custom rom developers
That picture looks incredibly photoshopped.
You sure it's legit?
i don't think that is a believable photo

Idk. But its a discussion for the nexus 3
Sure samsung,is plasticy, but, if they change it to a more metallic body the hardware is the best! Voodoo sound, super amoled 2, dual core 1.5 ghz, 4.3" screen, android ice cream, 10 mega pixel camera and I'm in mobile paradise

Hmmm, i still think. LG will make nexus 3. the picture is Fake. i work at google and im hearing buzz inside the office about what will be the next nexus.
and if ever the buzzes are not true...
PLs. no samsung!
i dont like their plastic slippery and weird looking phones.
the last time i had a samsung phone, i was so mad at it i broke the screen because of the terrible laggy UI.. cough*galaxy s*
HTC but pls no samsung!!
Uhh... Look! The new iNexus!
Looks too much like the 3GS to be real.

i don't care who makes it aslong as it has a quadcore processor
why? you might ask, what is there to gain with a quadcore processor?
nothing! but bragging to friends with the fact that their phones only have 1 core and then making outrageous statements that your phone is by definition is 4x as fast as theirs sounds find to me
I think google can't stay with one manufacturer cause maybe it would be unfair for the rest.

Yeah - thats defo not a HTC phone, they would never make such a blunt copy of the iPhone 3g - would have Apple suing them big time.
As far as I see it, thats nothing but a photoshopped iphone 3g/3gs

Isn't it awesome that custom roms can come with devices
Do you ever think a rom like Paranoid or Cyanogenmod could be cold with a pre-rooted phone?
also, for a custom rom phone to be targeted (and sold) at British/American/English speaking country?
The cool thing is, according to cnet's bench mark tests, this phone is more powerful then the S3 or One x!!
I don't like MIUI particuarlly but the idea is pretty awesome
Pics =D
Also
There is a problem with this phone being sold in America/Europe
Unless i'm missing something obvious, the Xiaomi Mi-One was the first MIUI Phone with the Mi-Two being the second? Anyway, wish these could be bought here, and in English, as i really like the MIUI style and the specs are pretty decent. I'm not sure that i'd be confident in build quality or after-sales care though.
The concept of having a custom ROM phone is a bit moot with Android though. How is a HTC phone with Sense Android, or a Samsung phone with Touchwiz Android, any different from a Xiaomi phone with MIUI Android?
lol
Well, makes sense. I never heard of the one though. I still find it interesting how it is supposedly better than the one x or s3
Why would anyone buy a one x or s3 when this is cheaper (in China where it is sold)

Probably because being cheap is usually the opposite of quality and last-ability. Also, when my phone breaks I return it to my provider or manufacturer by giving it to the driver that brings me a new one the next day. Good luck doing that with one of these.

I guess because sense/wiz only comes with phones (in theory) whilst MIUI was first a ROM and I'm pretty sure is open source.
Men, maybe I'm just overexcited by a cheap powerphone
But do you think they OEM lock the phone, or is it prerooted or nexus like (in rooting method)?

We all know a Motorola device received KitKat even before Nexus users, here we see a purported Sony Xperia running Android 4.4.2, which is newer than even found on the Nexus 5 .
Is this the reason we bought Nexus? How unfaithful Google could be.

Most probably it's fake. Esp. the lighter 2 in the end of 4.4.2.

Fake.
Obvious fake.
Insult? Wtf is wrong with people these days. Clearly, its fake.

If you look closer that picture than you see that the font of the number 2 is not the same whit the rest so FAKE.
P.S. i saw some galaxy S3 clones and it said 4.2.2 but it was definitely gingerbread
Yeah, it looks fake.
This elitist attitude by some Nexus users is annoying. I thought that was supposed to die out with the Samsung fanboys when Google stopped updating for the Galaxy Nexus.
You're already getting good value for the price you pay. Why are you whining that Google is releasing (or helping to release) version updates faster for other devices, isn't that a good thing for the Android ecosystem. Is it necesary to have the latest version only for yourself to validate your self-worth and feel superior to others because you have a device with a unique brand name?
Can mods lock this thread please?
Also, now you know to not read news from GSMArena.
What does this have to do with last year's Nexus?
Even if it's not fake, it's unreleased and it's an incremental update. Who cares?

Went to Best Buy to check out the existing phone lineups. Anyone else find the current handset lineups to be lacking and uninteresting?
I'm sticking with my OP5 for the foreseeable future it looks like. I'd love to see a new handset that has the feel/quality of the Nexus 6 again.
I have a OP3T and a OP5 and wouldn't trade either of them for any new phone on the market. If it were up to me OP would just release a new 3T every year with updated internals until the end of time.

Thanks, but I was just looking to express that nothing since the OP5 has really been interesting as a device. I'm not looking for advice on what to buy.
agreed.
I really like the front fingerprint scanner for desk work. (6T got it in the front, but need to wake up the device first).
I really like offscreen nav button, imo its the ''android'' signature.
3.5 mm for my ath-m50 s.
I mean yeah, I wont change it until its too slow. and money its not a issue.
I'm trying to reduce my consumption, and the OP5 was the best back then. Pretty sure it will remain fast even if its 5-6 year old.
My best smart phone was the desire Z from HTC. 2010 to 2015. What a piece of tech. Change it since 364 mb ram wasn't enough to run google maps anymore.
