Hi all,
I have a N9200 ported for Note7 (N9300) with the Aurora rom V24. the only custom rom which supports the N9200.
However, the phone nor the rom comes with Google play store preinstalled.
Can anyone give me a guide on installing the Google play store? Also should i be searching for answers on the N9300 considering that the rom is ported for it? not sure of what i should be doing.

Look for a rebuild. Download from there the rom. Or just download open Gapps apk.
i used the open gapps option but after installed lots of play services has stopped error.
however i did not understand what i was supposed to do in the first option.
Flash opengapps and grant permissions to google services and apps.
Settings>Applications>Show system apps>Click on google app> Permissions> enable them...

I am downloading v24.1 since v24 didn't give me network. I'll upload that later this week.

Strange, i have network on V24 but no network no simcard on V24.1 but the good thing is V24.1 comes with Google play store. what a situation.
any ideas for this situation.

There is network, no SIM. read somewhere about a dialer code to reset network prefences. Didn't try it though.
there was a reset network settings option i tried but did not work. i also sent a message to thanhfhuongf and his response was " off on simcard" i interpreted that to mean take out the simcard and put it back" which did not work. maybe you have a better understanding. i read somewhere on the phone about locking the simcard but i am not seeing any option like that.
If your able to upload v24 I may be able to get it working with google apps.

Same for me, Aurora 24.1 is not working well. The both sim cards are not recognized.

lets hope you can solve this problem.
ok guys i was able to solve the no sim problem by flashing the N9200_DUALSIM_FIX_MM.zip file to the phone. also you need to have two simcards in the phone inorder to get network you have to switch each one off then on.
however i now have a new problem which is i cannot answer incoming calls because there is no notification that there is an incoming call. you can hear the phone ringing but no where to answer. i have checked the settings and noticed that the phone app is not listed in the notification list. i have tried to add it but no success. in the settings of the phone app you can see all the notifications are ticked but still not coming up when calls comes. can someone give some help on this issue.

I try to install Gapps but i get it in errors when i start the phone. i have tried several gapps but no help even if i update permission !

I use Semaphore Kernel and activated the "Change /cache to virtual 50 Mb" option. I deactivated it and now market works as normal

Maybe trouble with the latest market? Try reverting to older one.

Both need connection to google services. But that's not the problem then. What version is your market?

Yeah, good idea. Try a different market version. That may solve this.
It blows my mind that the description for the error is that you have an error. That just seems lazy.
I have the same problem, I have uninstalled the market updates but still no luck.
The problem started yesterday, I'm using Juews smart edition v6.

When the error is shown, I quickly check that the version has been updated. HOWEVER, this doesn't mean that the problem started because of an update as I have not been downloading much thing from market anyway.
Logically - since the problem occur after an update, I thought, let's uninstall update. And then the market went down to version during Froyo time. Problem remains !
I download market 3.2.0 and problem remains. That's where I started to go crazy... tried every method that my google friend could find, nothing works.

What if , the problem is somehow due to insufficient access right to download files from the market? Where does market placed the download files? If anyone knows the temporary folder .. could you tell me the access right setting as well.

I got mine working by reflashing juews smart edition v6 (no wipe)

maybe you have to freeze the app so it won't update itself automatically?

Dear XDA Devs..
I am facing an issue since 2 weeks with my galaxy note (GT-N7000). Below are the details and looking for a help!
This is had happened since the latest update which had pushed from Samsung with the UI look of Galaxy S3 of ICS 4.0.4. Before that I didn't face any sync issues.
Now, the actual issue is when I am on my Vodafone mobile internet only my corporate exchange mails works while other apps like Gmail, Gtalk, FB, FB messenger etc. won't work. As soon as I connect to my wi-fi at home or any other place, I start getting all the FB alerts, Gtalk offline messages and everything. I guess corporate exchange mails are working as sync schedule is push..
I have done resetting my phone, tried to see few options like trail and error in Accounts & Sync etc. but of vain! I am too much got fed up.. before this, tried auto sync options but none of them seems to be working..
I am at first place not able to understand why is the auto sync and background data options in ICS are removed.. :crying:
I request members to support me resolve my issue or suggest a app which does the work for me. I am unable to get the updates while I am out of office especially Gtalk as many people would be trying to reach me..
If you feel I missed to provide any info, please let me know and I will do it asap...

Gtalk comes with the stock ROM, AFAIK.. and it came pre installed.. it works fine on wifi.. currently I am video calling/talking to my sis in US.. only prob with mobile network, where I am in vodafone 2G/EDGE...

go to www.samfirmware.com and download the ROM of ur choice ( only samsung stock available)... then use the PC odin to flash it to the phone

Hey! Sorry for coming late and updating.. Was busy with personal and official work. I found the prob now.
It was with network where I got to know that from vodafone saying "for hihh end phonws" they need to activate package called "vodafone mobile". That was so annoying that while my other network Airtel able to recognize my mobile model and send settings accordingly, why can't vodafone by doing that while rental is '0'. Anyways thanks for all help. Sorry I forgot to update in the first instance that I moved from Airtel to Vodafone Sim in my note while still I use the Airtel, where I found this issue..
I have problem in sending message to service provider, there is an error "Unfortunately,the process com..android.phone has stopped.. I am using Note 4 rom but when I am using s5 rom there is no such problem encountered. Any help will be appreciated, thank you guys.

Yes sir, actually it happened from the start I installed the rom. I fully wipe the data and cache and reinstalled the rom and still cant send message to service provider

Example, here in philippines, 222 is a service provider number. I wanted to check my load balance so I will text bal send to 222 and when I click send the error happened. But when I send a message to friends error dont pops up. So i think there is a problem in sending message to service provider. I use http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development-i9305/rom-t3024759 rom. I also check other note 4 roms and there is also the problem but when I use s5 rom there is no such problem like that. By the way thank you for helping
I noticed that youre a contributor of amcha rom. I love that rom, I used it for almost 3 months. Its a very good rom and I dont encountered any bugs or problem while using it. Now Im just trying a Note 4 rom.

Another thing sir, I noticed that when I try to send to five number digit for recepient the error happened and when I try to send in a six number digit there is no problem. Im just wondering that the message apk of the rom Im using when sending message, is restricted to six numbers up?

First, AFAIK my carrier doesn't allow to send sms to service. Maybe it's possible but I've found nothing about this. So I can't test for you.
Then, I assume that you have played with settings of message app and see if it could help ?
You should try a third party message app with Note 4 Elite Ultimate ROM and see if it's the same. I'm sorry but I've never tested this ROM and I don't know at all where could be the problem.
I hope you will find a way to fix your issue

I never change anything on the message settings. Do you know @MaHo_66? He is aware of the problem and he also dont know yet how to fix it. Il try to use other message apps. Thank you for helping.

I've read in N4 Elite ROM's thread that you're the only one in this case... Maybe you have to configure something special in message app (service number, etc.)

I thing the base rom of Note 4 elite rom of qasim and note 4 rom of maho_66 is the same. In note 4 rom of maho_66 many other users has problem like me. Before I tried the Note 4 elite I already encountered the error in maho_66 rom.
I already encoutered this problem but I can't say exactly how I fixed it. The only thing I remember is that I re-downloaded ROM files, formated all partitions and then re-flashed. And the problem was gone...
i have the same problem (and i´m using the N4 rom too.) the problem has nothing to do with the messaging/phone app (i tried third-party apps) so we can only wait on a patch from the rom-developers.

Thanks bro. I don't think I will risk it either. There are also no comments there that confirm that it works...
At the moment I don't have a real reason to root, but i'm sure I'll need it in the future. Hopefully we will have it soon.

Since you have the N9200 as well, could you do me a massive favor? I'm really dissatisfied with the scrolling behavior on mine. I've made a thread about it in the General section.
Could you let me know what software version you are on? Have updated to the latest one (N9200ZHU1AOI1)? But most importantly: do you notice stuttering behaviour in scrolling through apps like Google Play store, Youtube, Facebook etc...?

No problem, I'll try to get to it as soon as I get home, Going to Uni now.
Though I must say that I dont really use those apps because I live In china. If I use them I have to open Astrill VPN. I just Tried it with facebook, and it seems pretty smooth, except when it loads new content because of Chinas great firewall.
(Im also on the new version, but today I tried the "Package debloat" app from the Q&A section and disabled 150 or so apps)
So does anyone found any clue for N9200 root (OI1 firm) ???

current progress and planned
unlock bootloader
install twrp
backup everything
reboot
notice GAPPS get removed when you unlock
verify my knox container still works (says KNOX has been locked contact your IT admin need to change lock type)
flash stock n9200 kernel with ',verify' removed (aka allows system to be mounted and modified, without this change a kernel cant boot a rooted system)
reboot and verify knox container still works (same message)
flash gapps reboot and verify
flashing back gapps didnt restore everything i was missing (looked like every app i downloaded from play store was also removed), so i reflashed the stock system i pulled out of odin tarball
restoring data
Damn im glad I backedup everything as soon as I got recovery, first boot after unlocked BTloader, it was next reboot that it deleted all my data ( so after reinstalling stock system and restoring my data, everything is back to how it was)

Can you please share links to the files you've used? I tried to install twrp via Odin and I'm getting error RQT_Close and the phone writes something in chinese in the download mode.

I always use Samsung stock rom only and the root file worked for my note 5.
Have you ever unlocked CRom of your note 5 before?

Does anyone ever encountered this problem?
Some app on Playstore listed as Not Compatible.
And even when i sideload the app (manually download and install), it gives error like it described in screenshot.
Any clue?

Just installed both of them to test, no problem at all, see screenshots.
TCash detected root and blocked to run, used Magisk Hide and now it works
I don't need them so I will uninstall (btw, TCash has no English UI)

Hi there,
The problem is it's can't be installed, even when sideloaded.
Some russian people from russian forum got this problem too on several app, but still haven't figure it out.

I got same message when trying to install one mobile banking app
Same problem
This happens to me with MercadoLibre apk and with my carrier app (Telcel from Mexico), but i havent figured out what to do
I have the same issue on a Huawei HONOR 8X MAX and a mobile banking app. I guess whatever that "shared directory" thing is, Huawei's Android doesn't have it, and without 'root' (which I don't have) there are no other options to pursue.

Me too searching for a solution to this. The Banking app was working fine on my Honor 7x (Android 7.x.x) but as I updated to Android 8.0.0 the Banking app disappeared from Apps list. Then i tried installing from Play Store & side loaded installation package but neither of them worked..
