[DISCUSSION] ultimate Root Checking methods - Xposed General

Hi everyone!
We have come across an interesting problem, that renders lost all our labours with such apps as rootCloak, hideRoot (along with personal efforts and accessory methods) and makes us exposed to systems.
We created a small app, called it ultimateRootChecker (links will in the end of post). It uses multiple methods for root check, the most interesting of them (granted Xposed is present) being the analysis of Log.getStackTraceString for XposedBridge string, that would be present everywhere where there is Xposed or Cydia.

As experience has shown, anyone can access this log. Fabric(Crashlytics), for instance, sends this data back to themselves for processing and analysis. The same practice is adopted by a couple of mobile ad networks, and I think they do it for their antiFraud machines. Yes, it is possible to search for these classes during every assembling or change of the app and replace it with Xposed, but maybe you have better and more elegant solutions for hook this?
In the meantime, feel free to test our app on your devices and share means of traversal of our verification.

Anyone having market crashes?

I updated to Froyo from CM.

I believe I get the same issue and log messages when I try to move applications to my sdcard either from the applications menu or by adb command. :/
I have the same error when trying to install the latest version of Neocore.

Just did a full data wipe, and it helped for me.

[Q] Can't add contact to message in Messaging app

When I am in the Messaging application and click the New Message option then press the Contacts button to select a contact to add to the message, I get a Force Close with error "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly". The error from the system log below is indicating "Invalid column account_status"
My phone is an unmodified factory JP3 Froyo ROM (it came with this out of the box). I tried resetting the phone to factory settings and not linking to any Accounts. Even in this original state the error still occurs.
Any ideas what might be wrong or how I can fix this?

In case this helps someone in the future ...
I gave in trying to fix this and flashed a JPM ROM. This fixed the problem. Also I noticed my BuddiesNow widget was having the same problem and this is fixed with the new ROM.

Tried to reboot with all modules deactivated and the issue persist.
That error doesn't seem to be related to Xposed. Does it still happen after uninstalling Xposed and rebooting?

The issue has don't ocurrered while i'm configuring my phone, before activate the xposed.
No apps installed after enable the great piece of software and xposed is related in the exception stack

No, that last line doesn't indicate the issue is related to Xposed. It only means Xposed is installed. Actually, you'll see it in any stack trace.
So, again, please remove Xposed and test again.

Reinstalled XPosed
Disabled modules (I only use a module)
Rebooted the device
Enter contacts

Note that the issue occurs only when I edit a contact. Not when I create a new contact.
Can edit contacts fine on my G3, with many modules enabled (including G3 Tweakbox), so i suspect its a conflict with something else you have installed.
Note: I'm using Xposed Version "2.7 experimental1" which include app_process 58 and XposedBridge.jar 54.

That sounds strange... you're sure you editing exactly the same contact and everything? As mentioned by GermainZ, there's no indication in the log that this would be related to Xposed.

The issue occurs when editing all the contacts, not for new contacts.
Really isn't a problem. I can edit my contacts using desktop interface.
Note: just updated the rom a few minutes ago. Xposed says app_process isnt installed and xposed_bridge version is 54, but issue persists.

If (the patched) app_process really isn't installed, then it would mean that Xposed definitely can't be the culprit, because it wouldn't be active... Is Xposed still mentioned at the bottom of the stack trace?

Provably a LG bug.
Tested more and it seems only occurs when I try to edit a contact that includes a special date, like birthday.

[Q] FC when trying to access modules or downloads in Xposed Installer

Xposed version 74 (by romracer / 20150911), compiled for SDK 22
Device: Nexus 6 (motorola), Android version 5.1.1 (SDK 22)
ROM: LYZ28J (Pure Nexus 5.1.1-20150828)
Platform: armeabi-v7a, 32-bit binary, system server: yes
SELinux enabled: yes, enforcing: yes
I just started having a force close when I try to access the Downloads or Modules section in Xposed Installer.
All the modules seem to be working though.
Recent changes were that I updated the radio to the M version .32R
Other than that I installer Airdroid and A new layers theme.
The log shows nothing about the problem, attached the log to this post. (Is there a way to have a verbose log on Xposed?).
Any suggestions/ideas?

Fixed by removing layers
Started by removing Airdroid, no luck.
Removed layers and now it is working fine, no force close.
The layers that were installed are:

Hope this helps someone in the future.
You might want to switch to the recent version and don't use a version that is outdated for months...
