Okay buddy ..... actually due to lack of time, didn't do much R&D on "universal sprout convertor" , frankly i didnt knew that such concept does existed .
So i straight away moved to fix the issues after i got the rom working .
Many users didnt find actual links for MIUI8 Sp4 , after miui7 repatch they also requested to upload this one too .
Anyways buddy , Let the development be continued ^_^ !!!

Universal sprout converter

This is really nice......
I flashed this on spice mi 498
But still bugs are there.......
Tapping on recent apps is force closing the system ui........But I managed it
Moreover, I can't flash IMEI....
I'd tried chamelephone,didn't succed..
Next tried using root explorer, but then I noticed IMEI SV also turned to null.....
So,seniors,any solutions????

Chamelephone app works only for rooted phones, Have you rooted your phone successfully? If yes then manually give the permission to super su app to auto start. And grant access to chamelephone app from super su app manually. I also use this app to change back to my default imei which is successfully done without any problem. Hit thanks if I helped.

Ya,I used chamelephone,but then I noticed that the IMEI SV turned to "unknown"....
So I copied the MPB_001 from NVRAM Of the stock rom and pasted in NVRAM of this ROM....
fortunately IMEI was correctly set up

Method :-
- Download the zip .
- Using WinRar extract the contents
- You will see a folder named "2016-11-06--04-40-17"
- Go to your sdcard / TWRP / BACKUPS
- CREATE FOLDER Named 26G08AIE4EEA0I2
- Please check twice .
- Now paste "2016-11-06--04-40-17" this folder into 26G08AIE4EEA0I2
- Backup your important data , cause will be doing clean install .
- Now go to TWRP
- Wipe System and Data
- Go to Restore , click on "2016-11-06--04-40-17"
- Restore boot and system
- DONT FLASH Gapps
- Reboot system.
- After succesfull restore , first boot may take time .

Hey vikrant..
I guess u can help me bro.....
I had set up my mi account previously on my sprout....
And after only tapping on recents I m getting system FC...
So I had to restore miui again....
But just after restoring I m getting that the device is associated with mi account and I have login....
I connect my device to wifi...and I m getting a pop-up-getting device security info......and it says after sometime that it cannot get a valid device ID as there is no network. ..I have to flash IMEI via chamelephone......but I cannot login....how to go past of this??

Flash this via recovery, flash at your own risk

Hey,
Today I downloaded this twrp flashable miui zip....
OK
But when I headed recovery and did a clean wipe(system,data,cache and dalvik) and flashed this ROM,I got error 7,
I am attaching the screenshot
Sorry,I didn't noticed that I have to wipe only data.....
Ya successfully flashed miui 8,but got stuck at "Getting device security info"
Unfortunately, I lost my imei and I can't flash it by placing Mp00b file coz I can't get into the home screen....
Plz help how to get past of this
Or plz help me by making a flashable zip of my imei[emoji4] [emoji4]

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
You should be rooted and have custom recovery installed. Follow ROOTING guide and install RECOVERY and follow next steps.
1) Download ROM and this SuperSU.zip.
2) Keep it SD card and reboot to recovery.
3) Wipe data/cache and dalvik and then flash the ROM and SuperSU, incase you get a bootloop then reboot in recovery wipe data/cache and dalvik then again reboot recovery from advanced menu and then install the ROM then wipe cache and dalvik again reboot recovery and flash SuperSU and reboot. (Sorry the ROM is rooted but somehow it has a missing binary and can't figure out where it is so need to root again)
4) Will work with any recovery TWRP or CTR or CWM. Use your preferred recovery.
5) Reboot and enjoy

Somehow I forgot to add camera app :crying: Sorry for that for Camera I'll provide an OTA later meanwhile install this apk from this CAMERA thread.
BUGS
1) Visualizer doesn't work in Walkman shows black screen. (I have a fix but that'll revert you to older Walkman)
2) Can't apply themes. (Don't even bother to ask why as it is based on AOSP so it'll not support themes. Working for this theme thing separately

Flash XOLO HIVE stock ROM.
And for camera use any different camera app from play store like camera 360.

I appreciate your work too much but.. please i bricked my phone since that rom is not ok ... now the phone is not booting nothing completely dead ... Hence the computer see it as MediaTek da usb vcom port... and my Mtk droid tools cannot detect it... i have my boot.img and recovery.img to boot it just help me to make mtk droid tool see it ,,, thanks

ROM is perfect you have not flashed properly. If you read instructions you could see it has a step to recover bootloop

That's your fault. Mediatek phones don't die easily.
Do one thing check if preload drivers are installed and check out unbricking guide from XDA

hi I succesfully install your rom to my cherry mobile excalibur but after I restart my phone the signal of both sim card is lost and te sim managements in settings turn grayed. please help sir TIA

Same here on my Infinix Zero 16G
i just noticed the problem
IMEI is deleted now
tried using MTK Droid to reset IMEI, but no effect
Engineer mode in settings says "This command is not allowed in UserBuild"
Both sim cards are not detected. tried reinserting sim. still same.
i'm starting to think it's from the NVRAM.
when installing the ROM i think i wiped /data which is where the NVRAM is located.

Please don't quote whole OP.
And secondly to restore IMEI use MTK Droid tools.
First enable USB debugging then click on IMEI/NVRAM tab. Copy your imei numbers from your device box and keep them. First click on backup then click on restore immediately and then put your device imei numbers into the SIM slots respectively And click replace then simply reboot and you're done. Clean installation never ends up with IMEI wipe. You must have not rebooted recovery after wiping data and cache.
Reboot recovery before installing.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
You should be rooted and have custom recovery installed. Follow ROOTING guide and install RECOVERY and follow next steps.
1) Keep it SD card and reboot to recovery.
2) Wipe data/cache and dalvik and then flash the ROM, incase you get a bootloop (which you won't) then reboot in recovery wipe data/cache and dalvik TWICE then again reboot recovery from advanced menu and then install the ROM and reboot.
3) Will work with any recovery prefer using Philz. (Link above)
4) Reboot and keep patience as first boot can take upto 15-20 minutes.
INFINIX ZERO users make sure you have stock boot.img flash this mod first CAMERA FIX and then using SP Flashtool flash stock boot.img or else wait for my mod
NOTE : After Installing ROM will automatically reboot recovery to fix root. Manually reboot to system from recovery
BUGS
- At first boot it will ask to setup device, that time while setting google account keyboard won't work as keyboard is not enabled skip that part and manually enable keyboard later from menu. It'll work fine after that
- After you setup the device it will say "Unfortunately Setup Wizard has stopped" keep tapping on ok continuously and after 3-4 times you'll see a black screen then press home key from device (hard key middle one on your device below screen) and you'll go to home screen. I know you can bypass that! OR to fix this issue just open the zip with any zip viewer and go to system folder then app and delete the "Browser.apk" and install the ROM
- ROM can't take screenshot from "Volume UP or Down + Power Key" but hey Gravity Box is there! :silly:
- You may get error like "Unkown issue request from Google Play Music or Services". You must know it's from a lower Android and SoC port hence will be having some issues but Google Play Music works just fine. Uninstall it if you don't want it. Fixed Check Add-Ons sections for Fix. :good:
- You may see issue that Dolby doesn't gets enabled, but plug in headphones then open the option dolby it'll work. In case you are frustated with my work install this Dolby app along with it, This one will work absolutely fine Download HERE
None other. ROM is totally fine and has good performance and battery backup

FAQ
Q) ROM is having bad RAM management?
A) It is due to so heavily tweaked. Play games then complain if it hangs or not.
Q) Pre-Integrated Dolby still doesn't work?
A) Uninstall it simply using system app remover I added in ROM and install Dolby from this thread.

yes, mine did not work as well. it seems that it does not create the data partition correctly, mine shows that the sdcard0 is unavailable. and hence wont boot.

I really really suggest to delete updater.apk from rom. I'm 100% sure at least someone will flash OTA update....

Try terminal command in post if still install the ROM then format internal memory and if u have an sdcard format it too but make sure their is nothing important u want in them.move them to a safe place first??

I have the same problem when installing apps that require root access.
I tried installing Private Place, which works on my Miui phone.
1. When starting app, SuperSU access is requested and granted
2. App then starts and then crashes going to the boot screen (with MI logo) and hangs. Pulling battery to restart.
Have tried 2 times, the second time the app/phone just hung when trying to apply settings.
UPDATE: In an attempt to post logcats I had to download catlog (can't get adb to work in office)
which did require root and giving that app SU worked OK.
I've attached the logcat, hoping it caught the issue before the device hung - the string relating the the app 'Private Place' is fahrbot.apps.security.firewall. The device goes to a hung bootscreen when the app tries to initialise.
UPDATE 2:
Using another application called 'App Quarantine' has the same problem.
1. Launch app
2. SuperSU request - granted
3. Back to app and bombs out to boot screen and hangs - have to battery pull
There does seem to be an issue with apps that require root.
Any help much appreciated - thanks

Reboot to recovery
wipe Cache, Data and System
Flash AOSPrime v06.4_r26.zip
Reboot to system and wait for device to startup ( 3-5 min on first start only )

i flashed this rom and every thing is working fine execpt notification panel dose not show any icons and phone is not connecting to pc please help

but i tried installing custom recovery and when i restarted my phone into recovery i got it hardbricked and the phone was prety much dead good thing i had my warrante and i told them an update i clicked on the phone caused that so they changed my mainboard :/

you can use mtk droid tools for make a backup with this files (complete procedure in youtube: backup mtk droid tools):

this backup help you if your phone its bricked for some reasons, do a back up for preventing bad situations
Recovering the preloader boot i can access to download mode and update with a kdz file and recovering all functions of the phone.

just kidding when the main team relaeses update i will update the ROM and am trying to port 6.0.1 CM for this device

- To rearrange Nav buttons goto
Settings -- > Additional Settings --> Buttons --> Custom key position
- On home screen remove "Phone icon"
Go to app list Drag the "Phone icon" and place it in the app tray.

Its single for now.

Have you fixed the issue with speaker ? Last time I played a song using music player there was no sound at all . Infact the whole system sound mechanism was broken .

When I flash nano gapps then mobile is not booting up
So which gapps package its support

- Flash pico GApps , it will work properly ! (Tested)
- The issue of COC :-
- The issue you mentioned is of Clash Of Clan.apk and not of the ROM .
Solution :- Just press back button once on home screen. You shall be asked "Exit the game ?" , Press "Cancel" button , your Navbar will get hidden . :good:

I think android one focuses more on power saving than power cost . I'll stick to whatever you provide in stock . Hope you'll provide something interesting .
And one more thing . How about translations ? some apps like themes miui app store are chienese translated by default . Any light on that ?

Hello,
I am sorry to inform, that i couldn't fix the language issue in this ROM .
Reason :-
The app is using Web-view from Xiaomi servers , which is impossible to convert in English .
Suggestions :-

- Have you tried to do so ?

add original miui 7 system ui in next build

Why don't you try porting MIUI 8 or try modding Flyme OS 5 by Ariewahyu. It has dual SIM support, runs on Lollipop and everything is fine. No major bugs (some GPS issues)
One more thing @vikrantgmail, how to remove that floating back button.

Please fix the sound issue in speaker . It's practically doesn't work at all in anyway .
