Updated supersu via playstore by accident. What to do now? Afraid to restart please advise
Anyone?
If your talking about the 2.78 one then your fine. That's what version shows for me. I just get message every boot about updating binaries but it fails every time.

After SuperSU v2.0 update installed, request to update binary caused reboot before completed. The system was then in bootloop, and restarted every minute, and the only way to stop was to disable SuperSU in Apps. Tried to install the supersu .zip in CWM, and when its installing, it also reboots before it completes. Uninstalled update, but it leaves the old rom version, which now also does not work. Root is broken. Please help to reslove. HTC One S 4.1.1

When u open supersu select twrp recovery if u have try again if failed, It happened to me 2 now supersu 2 workimg for me
So I've unlocked the bootloader OK and then I followed this video - qbking77.com/development/how-to-root-the-htc-one-international-sprint-att ( I cant post the link as Im a new user) and when I open superSU I get this message - "there is no SU binary installed, and superSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
Everything appeared to go ok with the root, so what have I done wrong?
I have hunted round these forums and seen other people with this problem but not with a HTC One.
I have also tried updating it through the play store but with no success, after the update the error message changes slightly to "there is no SU binary installed, and superSU cannot install it. This is a problem! If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, you need to manually re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device"

Thanks
FIXED IT!!!!!!!!
i was using an old version of supersu - 1.25
so i downloaded v1.8 from here download.chainfire.eu/370
then went into recovery mode and flashed that
rebooted
supersu had totally gone now - no idea why....
so installed supersu from play store
opened supersu it said there was somethign wrong and did I want to reboot into cwm to fix it
it reboots
asks again if i want to fix the root
rebbots
all is ok!!!
now just need to remove all the crappy unwanted stock apps
I have just updated supersu through the play store and am now getting "Root Undetected " when I open the app. My phone is a Galaxy gt i9305 running a stock based TouchWiz 4.4.4 rom any suggestions please?
So I had to restore a backup which uses the previous SuperSu 2.79 and all is well again. Looking at the reviews on Google play store I'm not the only one having problems with version 2.80. Will this problem be getting sorted anytime soon because this is an important app for me and my confidence in using it is draining fast.
There is a version 2.81 on Google playstore right now (although it's still saying v2.80) which works fine again for me.
Same deal here. Pretty upsetting, I don't have a backup handy. Does anyone have a link to the 2.79 version that can be flashed in TWRP? If I find it first I'll post it here for others' convenience.
Yes I had same problem just 10 min ago
But I downloaded the zip of new version reflashed it ,works perfect

This one is not working for me! Just like the latest 2.8! I flash it on four devices! one fails the other three claim it was successful but there is NO SuperSu on any of the devices that I tried flashing it on with TWRP! I cannot give apps root access and it is like a device that is not rooted that was rooted before!
Anything else to try??

I installed this version. It's not working.
Thing is you install 2.79 with TWRp, after reboot. I used Root Checker Basic and Root Checker, they say no root. If you try to open SuperSu app, it will update to version 2.8. Same problem no root.
I am using Asus Zenfone ze552kl
Having the same problem on my cm14.1.....is there a solution?
Same here bro. I tried all supersu zip version 2.67 to 2.82 sr5. Version 2.82 says root undetected and below this version says supersu can't install su binary. I tried to install su binary but it says no su binary.

Same with me I try every version but sill not working
I have a LG 410g, I used kingroot to root the phone, then used rootchecker and it said that the root was successful, so I installed superSU, but the latest version (2.82) gives the "binaries occupied" error. I rolled back to version 2.79 and tried downloading the binaries but it always fails, and the phone's recovery mode only has one option to factory reset, so i can't install the binaries that way. I've been looking for a solution for this all day but nothing seems to work.
You'll probably have to remove Kingroot first. No, I've no idea how... You're going to have to put your Google-fu to the test.
I ATTACHED SHORT VIDEO TO SHOW YOU THIS. PLEASE LOOK:

I downloaded the newest Magisk version, then flashed it in TWRP. Booted to system, then downloaded newest Magisk Manager App. I run the app, and then it shows that I haven't got Magisk installed and it asks do I want to install .zip. I click no, then I refresh and it suddenly show that I HAVE Magisk. Then there is inf. about requires Additional Setup. I click yes and it shows setup failed. Why? Can someone help me?
ROM: LOS 16
GT-I9195
Sorry for English, I'm from Poland
the same thing happens to me, could you solve it?
If you get a message when opening the Magisk Manager after installing or updating Magisk, that additional setup is required and that it fails, try uninstalling the Magisk Manager and install it again manually.

It worked for me.
