We're is the battery pack that Asus showed off. No accessories are available anywhere.
I believe the battery pack comes together with the watch, but is not (yet) sold seperately.

Does not come with the watch. Mine did not anyways.
Yeah it does not come with the battery pack, nor it was mentioned anywhere that it would.
I don't think Asus has launched the accessories yet not even alternate bands, so they all might be launched together. That said, thing charges pretty damn fast so unless you're always on the run, is the battery pack really that significant?

It charges from almost nil to 60% in about 10-15 mins, I think full charge to 100% takes about 30-40 mins.
I think its too soon to call how long it lasts because I have had mine for only 3 days. But it appears to me that 60% of charge should last for a moderate day use, which means 10-15 mins of charging for the entire day (morning to evening).

pretty much this.
I have been using my watch to play music at work for 3 nights now. and so far, I have gotten around 3 hours straight of music playback on the speaker, before I have to charge. so I play music until my lunch break for 4 hours, then charge it. and use for another 4 hours of music when I punch back in.
its a damn champ!

PLaying music ON the watch, or THROUGH the watch to a BT streaming device? I haven't messed with music on mine yet. Haven't had time to play, not sure which apps to use.

Yes I pulled mine off the charger at 6:00am it is 5:00pm and almost dead.
I can not drive home until maybe 10pm and the watch will be dead. "When I go home a 10pm what do I care if it charges fast ?
The battery life so far is not acceptable, 16 hours is not a days use.

So you started bashing the thing right after first charge?
I don't have mine anymore but when I did, it mostly use to be at 50% by the time I reached home with normal use or at least 30-40% with heavy use. Give it 3-4 charge cycles at the very least!

Do you have all the sensors activated? wifi, fitness tracker, gestures and tilt to wake all take up battery because they are constantly running. I disable that because I do not need them but keep always on and ambient display on and get about two days worth.

Sorry for the late reply. I returned mine. Was able to grab the Huawei watch for almost half the price and after using it for few days didn't find much difference in performance from Asus. While the ZW3 is much better looking (imo), wasn't ready to spend double just for aesthetics.
I disconnected charger at 9 in the morning and went to office. Returned at evening 7, it was still 40% remaining. I am satisfied with the battery life. It would easily give me 24hrs battery. All time connected to bluetooth and Screen always on.

Pretty sure 16 hours is the definition of a days use considering 8 hours of sleep is a generally accepted standard even though none of us get that much. Bring the charge cable with you to work and spend the whopping 15 minutes to get another 10-12 hours use.
That all said I would still like the battery pack as well or at least somewhere to purchase another charging ring to leave at my office.

Ok, so the Diamond has a poor battery life, but how poor? How many hours do you get out of yours without any ROM changes? How many hours do you get after tweaking and with ROM updates?
What about the newer extended life batteries? How much more life would they give? 20%? 50%? 100?
Thanks,
Jon
My battery lasts for about 4-5 days with normal phone and PPC usage.
(ROM 1.93 and no internet connection/3G/GPRS or GPS turned on).
Charge twice a day
I charge mine twice a day. I am a heavy user and have exchange server / push mail on all the time.
For this reason i have two batteries and change them every moning and afternoon.

If you rationalise it: Lets say with the 900maH you get 2 days, then what is your last question about. If you get the 1800maH battery then, then the life is dubbeld. Looks like a no brainer to me. Or do you expect us to guess at what your going to use, how long, what power it uses and then make a guess at the time?
Mine was tweaked and lasted more then a week, while on standby.
btw: Why not all your questions in 1 topic?

Twice a day!!! Is that all! lol
I have mine on the charger at night; then if i'm on the computer the diamond is plugged in via the usb port; my half hour commute means she's plugged in the cars cigarette lighter, and it's plugged in a charger a lot at work. I'm a GPS, 3G surfing, mp3 playing bandit though.
If i aint doing any of the above, and use it just as a phone the battery will last a while. (at least 2 days) But if i just didnt want a phone...
With normal battery you can only watch two movies on Coreplayer and you're out. With GPS on you get 2-3 hours max. It's almost scandalous.
If you only use it as a phone, you get decent battery life, but I've bought it to also use it as a PDA. The battery is simply insufficient.
I've had to buy an emergency charger which lets you charge the battery on the road using any normal AA battery.
Sooo. I have had my Optimus 2X for 2 days now. I charged the phone fullt before goint to bed and left wifi on. (should turn off when phone sleeps)
The first night i lost about 3% of the battery. Great....
But... The second night i lost 42%!!!
I have been trying to investigate the issue and after some digging with spare parts i found out the wifi was on all the time the second night... Also for some reason car home allways runs in the background (starts at boot and restarts if killed) and spare parts claims car home uses the phone sensors 100% of the time.
Anyone else having battery draining issues?
Im going to charge 100% again tonight and run with no installed user apps. If the problem persists i try and freez some of the loads of sys apps that run in the background all the time.
I also noticed some battery drain on mine but not over 40%... its more like 20%. The battery really disappoints me anyway. I have to recharge two or three times a day?l maybe thr battery needs to get trained over time, I hope...
You found a solution yet?

My battery already holds up alot better now, then when i got the phone four days ago.
About 60-70% left after a 14 hour day with some surfing, benching and calling/texting. Much better then my Desire on stock ROM, but still nowhere near the Desire on custom ROM.
Looking forward to some community goodness
BTW, removing carhome.apk seems to make quite the difference.

Quick question about best used on the battery ...
Should we dry the battery to 0 for the first cycle ?
Or only to 20% ?
Is it bad if we start to charge the phone whent the battery is at 60% ?
On the contrary:
modern Li-Ion batteries don't like it if you discharge them to a minimum. Moreover they don't have the memory effect that you seem concerned about.
In a nutshell: Charge your phone whenever you can, at any charge level. Your battery will thank you.
On the first few charges though, you should always charge to 100% to help the battery gain her full efficiency
hey thx about those informations
but then i'm concerned about people saying stuff like "have been doing 3 life circle" for me it does mean they put the battery dry clean ...
Went to bed with 64% charge on the battery. When I woke up (8 hours later), still 64%.

Hmm... My phone last for 6 hours before drained... Had it for a week now... Takes about 2 hours to fully charge up again..
I even hardreset, turned of wifi etc... but alas, 6 hours and it was out of power again...
And that was just by being in standby.
If I actually use the phone, I can see the percentages going down from 100 - 0 in no time..

My battery is useless to. Yesterday ive charged my phone 3 times hehe.
On moday I'll send it to the service as DOA.
Gonna try getting a new battery tomorrow... Hopefully it isnt the phone that is faulty...
2:nd day in my phone lasted about 5.5 h before I hade to recharge. Turned off the option for applications to sync and 20 hours later im at 32%
So i want to give the Sony Xperia T some live here in XDA Forums.
And open the Batterylife Thread.
Honestly im very very satisfied with the Battery.
Wireless Lan -> often ON
Auto SYNC -> OFF
3G simultaneous with WLAN ON
Display -> AUTO
Whatsapp min.50 Messages per day.
And i have a girlfriend this means lot of sms and short calls thanks god short
The small charge line is when i put it in my PC to sync some musik and photos maximum 10minutes.
See Screenshot :
WHO CAN BEAT ME ?
Hmm, looks promising. Should last for 20 hours with my usage.
Unplugged mine at 9am this morning and have just put it back on charge @ 29% at 10.55pm GMT.
The length of the battery life was one of the main things for me, so so far so good, it will probably get better when its been charged a few times.
This is great to hear. Also was one of my main concerns. Plus don't forget with new SW updates it can only get better
Cheers,
Miki

Mine has lasted about 18 hours on the first 2 full charge cycles, but I've been hammering it:
WIFI always on, data always on.
Using it approx half the time (so 9 hours with screen on and CPU driving hard) for surfing the web, tweaking look and feel, RDP to home server and desktop PC, watching videos, using the camera, etc.
Today is my first day of normal use so we'll see how that goes.
Based on current usage, it's doing better than my Galaxy Note.

Generally when I've been using it continuously (with the WiFi on), it's been draining approx 10% per hour. Didn't read this thread until today so I'm approximating and haven't captured any screen shots of my battery usage, but I've pretty much been sat on my sofa playing about with my phone all day! Obviously there's been toilet breaks, sustainance, etc.
Believe me, don't believe me. I don't mind either way. Personally I'm really impressed with it so far and expect to get a couple of days between charges once the novelty has worn off and I'm back to using it normally.

It's hard to believe that this phone can get 9 hour on-screen time as other devices with the same CPU average around 4-5 hours which our device also gets.
I think you had 9 hour on the battery chart but the screen notice should be different, there's a option to see the on-screen time

I wasn't suggesting that I got a 9 hour value in the battery stats for the screen - just that I'd used it for roughly 9 solid hours (so the screen was on all the time I was using it.) Something that may have had a small bearing on my result was I had the brightness really low as I was indoors the whole time. Or maybe not - I don't have any imperical evidence about that either so maybe I'm fabricating that too!
I was just trying to contribute based on my findings, but to be honest I wish I hadn't bothered. I definitely won't be wasting any more time in this thread.

Actually you was "so 9 hours with screen on and CPU driving hard". I see what you did on the last sentence to make me feel guilty. But you did state 9 hours on screen in the brackets, which 'most' people assumption would be 9 hours screen on time.
I am thoroughly impressed with the battery life so far, though I am coming from an HTC One X which was very poor.
I've got 3h screen time with just under 70% battery left.

It's been on wifi most of the day and brightness is set to auto. It's still not dead yet, nowhere near even with 5h+ screen time. If this is what stock ICS can do, I can't wait to see what happens with a nice custom JB ROM.

That isn't really hard to get and the Sony battery is pretty good showing what apps are used, only thing I see is Screen on and Android System.
I can get 10 hour by reading books on my phone. Even the bad HTC One X battery can get over 10 hour just reading.
In daily use the phone is only about 3-5 hours, unless you live on the lowest brightness of the screen or the auto brightness. Obviously it be more if you just use wifi all day and not 3g.
I still doubt anyone can get 9 hours screen on time daily, heck phones like RAZR MAXX only achieve over 8-10 hours on screen time of daily use with a 3300mah battery.
I wanna see only 3g. Not wifi (on screen time)
I highly doubt most people use wifi when at work or going out
And what's the point of using wifi at home? (Maybe if lying down) otherwise you would use your computer

I've noticed some very slow charging speeds, I put it on charge at midnight and at 6am it was at 84%!!. I was using an older HTC charger and not the one that came with the phone so it could be that but I doubt there's any different in output between them.
I've recently installed a battery app that tracks my usage and predicts when the battery will die. I took it off charge at 5:30pm tonight and it things it will flatten out at 6am tomorrow!.. that's only 12 hours on a full charge!.. I hope it's wrong but I'm already 10% down.. maybe it's no better than the HTC One X but I thought it was supposed to be better with a 2300mah battery

I just got my HTC One a couple of days ago and noticed it was taking forever to charge. So today I timed it. I put it on charge 3 hours ago and it's gone up 30%. It's taking around 6 minutes for 1% of charge. This is using the wall charger, it's slower if I plug it into USB. I'm barely using it while it's plugged in.
My Battery Widget says voltage is 4262mV and temp is 34.6C
It's discharging on normal use at around 10% an hour with power saver on, which I guess I'm fine with, but not if it takes that long to charge up again.
Anyone have any ideas what might be causing it or what I can do about it? (It's my first Android phone and I don't know what the factors are with this).
Thanks.
HTC One on AT&T running Nova Launcher
Dont forget to turn off wifi, blue-tooth and gps, these will kill your battery.
apps like "juice defender" can automatically turn these off if you forget them.
Change from 4g/3g to 2g/gsm it saves battery life
Dont have your screen brightness set too high
use an app like "watchdog" to find high cpu using apps and system processes
also use "wakelock detector" to see if any apps are waking your phone up and wasting battery power when it should be asleep when you are not using it.
You can also turn on the built-in "power saver" from the drop-down list.
their are lots of threads on how to save battery power
John.

Is it still 3 hours for a full charge?

i dont bother how long i always put it on charge when am going to bed .. and morning i see green light
Mine around 5 hours plus from 5%. If I use it gaming or watching YouTube while charging, it even took longer to charge full.

The other day I was trying to kill my battery, so I let a movie stream from Google Play until it died. It lasted TWO HOURS after the battery hit 1%. Yes, two hours of moving streaming on 1% of battery. See attached screenshot for proof (see the flat line at 1%).
Then, two days ago, I tested again. This time I just let it sit at 1% to see how long it would take to die. It took over 10 hours!! See other screenshot for proof.
Anybody else seeing anything similar? Clearly, when my battery says it is at 1%, it really has about 10-15% battery left.

Haha (not 'Haha I'm laughing at you, but, 'Haha it's funny how different people see things differently).
It seems pretty good to me. I never let my phone get down to 1%. I am going to have to resist the innate urge to charge (owning the GNex meant living next to an outlet).

Hah - Yes -
Coming from the GNex its really difficult to not just plug in the X all the time. I have to keep stopping myself.
I'm on my first charge on the Moto X after switching from the GNex and I still have 80% after 12hrs use. This is insane! My Gnex would have died by now.

I'm not doubting you but have you, like, used your phone at all?

Yeah it's a pretty strong battery.
Also with the 1 percent lasting forever: It's not a bug, it's a reflection of the socio-economic set up of the united states, the 99% die fast, the 1% can pay to live!
I'll shut up now.

Right now I'm at 65% with almost 2hrs of screen time 14hrs total. Not sure how good that is compared to a lot of other phones, but compared to the Gnex it is amazing. I forgot what it was like to not have my phone plugged in all day.

Just saw my Moto X had 65% battery and almost plugged it in thinking it would die soon. The gnex messed my head up.

Same here. I have a plug sitting here and the Moto X next to it and it's so routine to just plug in the GNEX, I want to do the same with the X but I don't have to.
I dont think this is necessarily a bug, I think it takes time for the OS to learn the full scope of the battery - it is always just estimating the charge. I bet after 6 months of use that 1% glitch would go away and you would see more accurate battery reporting. My phone appears to gain %'s when i leave it be after heavy use.

Yep same here, phone went from 4% to 7% yesterday when I was trying to make it last. I had turned off Mobile data at 1% battery life yesterday and my phone was dead within 25-30 minutes of being on 1%. I think everyones phone/battery is calibrated differently. With moderate use I'm down to 25-30% left after about 8-9 hours of use. Coming from my S4 I'm so used to being able to Greenify things, I can only imagine what this phone would be like with Greenify.
Same problem

My phone is having this exact problem. I get about 10-12 hours battery life down to 1% battery, then it stays on 1% for at least 10-12 more hours. Does anyone know if there is going to be a fix released for this? It messes with my head not knowing when my phone is going to die, and I don't want to charge it if it's not dead. For instance, I'm on 2d 5h 14m on battery and it's been on 1% all day. It's pretty insane. Hope they roll out a fix. Glad to know i'm not the only one with this problem.
Next time this happens log your current and voltage readings using current widget so we can see what voltage the battery reads during this flat period at 1%. Then someone could plot the discharge curve in excel. May lead to clues. Perhaps problem with the fuel gauge or battery driver in the kernel. It all depends.
I seem to remember reading that the battery meter tunes itself over the first few charges, and that for the best accuracy you need to run it all the way down then charge it to 100%. 2-3 cycles of this is what was recommended. Can't speak to the validity of it but I know after running it down the first time and seeing the 1% last nearly 2 hours with heavy game use, on the second charge 1% meant 1%.

I'm on my second cycle of running it all the way down now, so we will see after the first 2-3 times if it calibrates itself. If not, i may be bringing my phone back, or ask verizon if they are going to be releasing a fix for it.
Really take it back for that?
