Hi all,
I just installed pacrom on my mi 5. I did not find halo or slim pie setting. Are those features not available or hidden in an obvious place I am not seeing

I would appreciate your opinions cuz im thinking wether or not to install a custom ROM on my mi 5.
Im currently on miui global stable 9.5 with a locked bootloader.
The main reasons for wanting to switch:
- active apps keep closing while using them due to aggressive ram management on miui.
- cant interact with notifications directly from lockscreen without pulling down the notification shade.
- miui sometimes not as fluent and smooth as i would like while multitasking several apps.
- lack of ambient display or active display for incoming notifications (such as at moto g5 plus) on miui.
---------------------------------
I don't really care so much about:
- battery life.
- lots of "extra featurs" (like in several roms) that pure nugat/oreo doesn't already have built in.
It is really important for me that the rom will be with little bugs as possible! I really really (really) hate force closers/random errors/random reboots.
Should i spend the effort of unlocking, installing and starting from scratch again with all the settings and apps? If yes, Please also suggest the best ROM suited for my needs above (mainly performance and stability).
Sorry for the long post
Thanks a lot!

@Yuval_i_1988 try MASIK, it has the stability of MIUI roms with a few customizations (like stock notifications option in the aroma installer). Very smooth!

In fact, I think PT AOSP is a good choice.
I have the mi max 2 for 6 months or so and still can't figure out how to bring back the lockscreen notifications.
I'm on 9.5.2.0 firmware and the lockscreen is always clean even if I've recieved a whatsapp or mail(I've manage to enable the icon on status bar that shows I've recieved a massage/other notification)
Last phone (Samsung galaxy note 3) had notifications on lockscreen and other phones with same firmware does have notifications.
Any picture on the added link shows what I'm looking for.

I tried to enable it with all sorts of guides using security and app permissions with no success.
I saw a lot of others threads with the same issue all over the web. Any idea how to solve it?
Does the lineage has the same problem?
Any one with the same firmware that managed to enable it?

Hello everybody ,
as you guys are owners i would like to ask which phone is better as a honest review one plus 6 or mi 8 if in my country the difference is 100 $
Mi 8
I think it's only a personal preference. The hardware is the same, so no big change.
Both MIUI and OxygenOS are well optimized and work flawlessy, just decide if you prefer android stock style and notification icon on the notification bar (OnePlus 6) or MIUI style and functions like parallel apps, parallel space, two app focus in split screen ecc. (Mi 8).
Both device are very fast, both screen are at the top, both SoT are ok.
Ive noticed that I don't have Android Pie's auto rotate gesture present on my Mi 9 device. Could someone help. I'm not sure if miui just doesn't let it..
Blame miui
Is there a Module that can replicate the MIUI Gesture into our AOSP ROM's? I mean you know how the MIUI Gesture works right some users prefer it than Google Implement their Gesture.
