The resolution of the N6 screen is 2560x1440 pixels and consumes battery power.
Unfortunately the higher resolution is not used.
Unless the price is very low, keep your Moto

I'd honestly trade. The Nexus 6 CPU is more powerful. Add dual front facing speaker's. 100% stock Android. Me personally I'd jump on it.

Yea that's what thinking also even though its a year older its still a beast of a phone. Plus I can get 7.0 a lot sooner then I would with the moto x

Definitely. It's a beast, runs 7.0 like a champ. My Nexus 6 is 1.5 years old and still has no problems getting 2 days on battery.

I understand. The only reason I would change my N6 to a Moto x is portability.
The N6 is a great phone but it's rather large and the back is not flat.
An advantage for you could be that the N6 is planned to get Android 7.
I don't know if the Moto X will be updated.

My N6 is 21 months old.
Out of the box the battery wasn't that powerful.
Battery life less than 1 day. Cause: amoled display.
For a better battery life I had to make changes:
1. root access to allow RRO-layers with dark themes.
2. Alternative apps with dark theme (f.i. no Gmail but Aquamail)
3. A custom kernel (Franco's kernel)
4. Debloating/delete not used apps.

As someone who has both devices in house (roommate has the Moto X Pure), it was a tough decision. However, I went with the N6, because of the screen @NLBeev loves so much as well as the camera. For you, the question may not be the LCD, so what is most important to you?
Processor? 32-bit quad-core 805 vs 64-bit hexa-core 808.
Camera? 13MP with OIS vs 21MP w/out it. (For me, the OIS was more important than sheer megapixels.)
Screen? 5.96" AMOLED vs 5.7" TFT LCD. Both have the same resolution of 2560x1440, which means NLBeev won't like either of them.
Expandable storage? Moto X Pure has it. Nexus 6 does not.
Have all the current updates at timely matter. ROM options battery life performance. The moto x battery isn't that great and I'm dirty unicorn ROM.

Then you already know what you should do. Trade for the Nexus, as the timely updates is one area Motorola fails at. The Pure hasn't even been upgraded to 6.0.1 from 6.0. Just keep in mind that cloud storage is your friend with a 32GB Nexus.

The 805 is actually a better chip than the 808, despite the model number being the wrong way.
The 805 has 4 VERY STRONG (and cool running) 32bit cores.
The 808 has 2 "OK" 64bit cores + 4 "REALLY CHITTY" 64bit cores. All VERY HOT running. They do NOT all add up to 4 strong 32bit cores.
"butbutbut SIXTYFOUR BITZ!!!". And what, precisely, do you use a phone for that benefits from 64bit CPU? Are you software transcoding videos? Nope. That's all done in dedicated hardware blocks.
Camera? 13MP with OIS vs 21MP w/out it. (For me, the OIS was more important than sheer megapixels.)

Sheer megapixels is meaningless once you pass the point where they're bleeding into each other (which we are WAY beyond).

The AMOLED will use a lot less power,
The TFT will **LOOK BETTER**, since it uses backlight+filter and doesn't LIE about its resolution (The Nexus 6 is really only 2560x720).
Expandable storage? Moto X Pure has it. Nexus 6 does not.

1. Have you ever heard of these things called "examples"? They're really refreshing things as they serve to illustrate concepts that the average person might misunderstand. The questions are all examples pointing back to the most important question: what is most important to you? As noted in reply to the OP, not everyone is going to focus on the display or the camera. The OP got it, because in his response he didn't touch on anything physical whatsoever. He instead focused on the biggest benefit of the Nexus/Pixel line: timely updates.
2. Seriously, you are preaching to the wrong person. The OP would benefit from the additional information you provided, however you chose to quote me, meaning you addressed me. Address him, because I have the device I want.

Ok so after I got my op3t I had horrible battery drain issues, after that my vibration got very loud buzzy and wierd... And I couldn't handle with the phone like that... So I returned it and got my money back...
Now I need a new phone... And I consider if to wait till mid + 2017 until I decide what phone to get or just buy an HTC 10 (or v20 but everyone say that it has stuttering problems)
now... what do you suggest? Should I get the HTC 10? wait? Or get a new 3t...?
(I'm not considering the S7 because no USB-C)
I need a very very good battery and camera
A very good performance
A nice vibrant screen and good build quality...
What phone do you suggest?
Or.. what do you suggest I'll do?
(Meanwhile I have a broken HTC M8)
Thank you!!!

HTC 10, V20 and S7 are the same price as him in Israel... You sure?
Unlocked pixel, or another 3T or wait for the S8
If I were you, I will try my luck to get another brand new 3T since you already said that the S7 were not an option anymore.
The lousy vibration might be the hardware or manufacturing defect, however as for the battery drain, for sure, I'm not experienced it. Currently, my 3T running on the latest OOS 4.1.0 with latest ElementalX kernel and the battery life is just fine for me.

HTC is junk, plus its old and dev will likely drop or slow to crawl within a year, V20 may run into dev issue, S7 never gets update so you might get dev here and there but dont expect anything quick. This is coming from someone who own S7 edge...I dont have a 3t I just lurk in here.

man I suggest you to go for another 3T or HTC 10. I own both phones And I love them so much. HTC 10 will not give you the best of everything but the overall experience is perfect. and balance. the build, the screen, the feel in hand, the speakers, the camera and the nougat is so stable I can say its stable than most smartphones these day (oh wait pixel is the number 1 in term of software). you can head up to htc 10 forum and there is no complain thread. I can afford any phone but I still cant find the perfect 10/10 phone this year. I would say no even someone offered me S7 or v20 or ultra U for free.
Both phones I rate 8/10. good luck

I dont know based on your rate its samsung s7 edge. I dont think you should wait. you buy a phone when you feel to. you wait for another 3months to buy a new phone then you will have to wait for another 3-5 months waiting for the price drop and in the next few months there will always new phones come again. you will keep waiting forever.

I still have my M8. Going from M8 to HTC 10 is not a day and night different but its an upgrade tho because M8 still runs good in any day.
What I dont like on 3T is the amoled yellowiest screen and the camera. the rest im very satisfied if oneplus fix those in op5, sure 2017 is the year.

I love everything about this phone, but i heard the screen looks fuzzy due to the pentile technology. Do you people think this screen looks fuzzy and horrible and do you guys recommend i get this phone or the Pixel XL?
Hi i suggest you to go for oneplus 5 as it has snapdragon 835 in almost hakf price of the Samsung s8.
Yes there are issues with display (jelly effect ) but they will solve in software update and not every device has this issue you can return and ask for replacement if issue occurs in your phone.
Overall its upto you.

I'd advise you to wait for the Pixel 2 to released, and then to take the Pixel XL.. It has a better camera, and imo it looks way better. However you won't have customization options of the 3T. The screen is fine on the 3T though so don't worry about that if you choose it.
Really it's up to you, both of them are better than 95% of other smartphones.

Text doesn't look fuzzy to me at all. Honestly, folks that complain about pentile (or this display in particular) must have much better eyes than I do. Everything looks sharp and vibrant to me.
The OP5 looks to be an incremental improvement, at best. And that jelly effect just looks annoying. If you can get the 3T for a significantly lower price (and I would think so) it's a much better deal.

Don't go for the Honor 9 (unless it's priced significantly lower). If you are going for the Honor 9, just go for the 3T, it packs a greater punch (the storage is significantly faster inside the 3T)
The 3T is still worth it even at this times. It's blistering fast and the battery life is superb (for me). Honestly the performance difference between the 5 and 3T is not by a huge margin anyway.

Only reason is for no notch and larger display. I upgrade when new notes or galaxy phones come out with larger displays then previous but since note 10 has a notch oneplus only other option. If the 7 pro is good I don't see a need to upgrade for a long time because the display cant get any bigger now. So I hope it doesn't disappoint since I've been happy with Samsung.

you have to like the OnePlus 7 Pro for its bootloader unlock potential
Bootloader unlock and unobstructed screen are the best two points of the OnePlus 7 Pro, IMHO. If you live in the US, buying Samsung flagships is frustrating due to bootloader locked Snapdragon variants. If you focus on the positive benefits of the OnePlus 7 Pro, you'll be satisfied.

Most of the critical reviews were on the release and 9.5.3 FW's. Since the 9.57 the issues people compalined about are gone. No ghost touches (I never had them) and the camera is right there with the Pixel phones now and should actually get a little better still with future updates. The IP rating (most useless thing to cry about) and the Wireless charging (isn't needed, somethign to just cry about) are 2 "features" that aren't needed. I don't have womens hands so it's not that much bigger then some of the other phones out there and the weight is about the same as the Note's and the IPhone Max's weight.
IF those reviewers did a second review after the 9.5.7 update most are completely on board now and don't have anything to complain about.
Bracing for stuttering ?? And your coming from a note 9. That's priceless ??

I'm bracing myself for rma hell, touch sensitive, ghost touch, camera, stuttering, battery, heating and overall quality control issues. Hope it's a worthy replacement to my 512gb midnight black note 9 which has been flawless. Looking forward to giving my final verdict.

My phone is flawless.. This is what happens when you listen to all the problems that only a certain few are having.

The thing is they almost doubled the price for this phone. I'm wondering how much loyal people will be if they keep increasing the price with each successor. I had the first oneplus phone on release. For the price it was ahead of their time. They should of fixed all the bugs before releasing this one because people's expectations are higher now especially since they loose their value fast.
I just bought my oneplus 6T a few months ago for 550. Last month I upgraded to my OnePlus 7 pro for 669 with 8 gigs of Ram and 256 Gb of UFS 3.0 memory. I paid about 150 more. So in what world is that double the price. And OnePlus 7 buyers are actually paying LESS. Coming from a Samsung user OnePlus is one hell of a bargain.

For Pete's sake - that is NONSENSE. A ridiculous statement, patently untrue and can be confirmed by anyone in seconds. How old are you anyway?
You have zero credibility. None. Are you trolling?

The prices of these phones will keep going up as long as the big mfrs (SEC/AAPL) keep raising theirs. I got a 1TB S10+ ceramic for $1279 and that was $$$ but the original price of $1599? And don't even get me started on folding phones. Had one preordered because, well you know, I'm a sucker for it I guess. But times are changing and it seems like innovation is slowing down. I mean, come on, how much more do they expect (a phone) to do?!

The OnePlus One was officially unveiled on*23 April 2014*for a limited release on 25 April: described as a "flagship killer", its prices were set at US$299 and US$349 for the 16 GB and 64 GB models respectively—which one critic estimated was roughly half the price of the then recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S5.-

You do know that OnePlus One was released with an open source CyanogenMod (No software team expense) and with everything mediocre apart from the processor??
And OP1 is what OP7 is right now, not OP7Pro.
And I don't know if OP7 is launched in Canada, but where I live, it's currently almost half the price of S10 as on amazon (US$890 for S10 8G 128GB, US$475 for OP7 6G 128GB).
Thinking of going to the new Pixel 5 from my Pixel XL. I keep hearing people say the processor is crappy. Will it still be an improvement for me going from an older phone to this newer Pixel 5?

a pixel 5 appeared there, legit? who knows.
Of course it would be an upgrade. Cmon man

Well I wasn't sure. I think the Pixel XL had an 821 in it. I keep hearing about how much better the 800 series of processors are than the 700. The 700 are a mid-range. Like I compared it in my head to the regular Intel versus the Celeron.
I really didn't know, so it was a serious question. I read a lot of posts of people pooping on the processor in the Pixel 5.
Can anyone compare the viewable screen size of a Pixel 4Xl compared to the 5? My question is, if going from a 4XL, and I actually losing viewable screen, or since there is no bezel, does the screen remain the same size?
Thanks
Jhanna, just do a simple measurement or read the specs for screen size and dimensions

Sure seems like you are losing viewable screen real estate.

There are a ton of Pixel haters out there. I dunno why. Jealous? Paid shills by Apple and Samsung? All I know is that, if you told me that a 4 y.o. gen Core i7 (Kaby or Coffee Lake) ran better than a current gen Ryzen 5 (4500), I'd laugh. There might be room for debate, but not much. Here's a comparison I found of the ARM chips: https://gadgetversus.com/processor/...5g-vs-qualcomm-msm8996-pro-ab-snapdragon-821/

Cool, thanks for the link! Looks promising!
I was able to get a Pixel 4XL for $599 an couple days ago (brand new), got a price match from an Amazon listing, and I had $500 in rewards certificates (I buy a lot from Best Buy), so it cost me $99 plus tax and screen protector and case. To me, the Pixel 5 is just not worth it, smaller screen and lower resolution, slower processor and more. It's good enough for me to wait and see if they make a Pixel 6XL. 6.3 inch screen is the smallest I'll go, and I actually prefer 6.5 to 6.7 inch screens. To each their own, but I just don't see the value in a Pixel 5 vice the Pixel 4XL, especially if you can get a new one for $599 or less.
