On my MI5 the downloads are paused for a certain time... - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

Hello, I have a problem on custom roms ( mokee,aicp,Du,...) the downloads over browser stay paused for a certain time and then continue downloading but sometimes take a long time to download again.
I guess that will be a problem of download manager app but I don't know why happens.
Any solution ?

Resolved ! Was a conflict with Greenify

Market doesnt download?

My market doesnt seem to work. im currently running CM6.1RC1 but even when i fully wiped and flashed MIUI 0.10.29 the market didnt seem to work. it gets in and when i press the download it shows as if it downloads and nothing happens... i dont even get precentge of download completed.
anyone witnessesd something similar?
Thanks guys
FIXED!
the problem too comes for me sometimes. i just reboot it worked fine
Yep, getting the same problem once in a while too (more often recently).
Here's what I usually try (not in any particular order): make sure to download only one app at at time; enable/disable airplane mode; stop market, clear cache & data; reboot the phone; launch the download from AppBrain.
Maybe one of these things will help you too.
fixed guys thanks!!!

[Q] How To Stop Download from Market

Hi everyone!
My sister had SGM phone, and this problem appear on her phone.
Whenever she tried download from market -games/app/anyhthing sometimes the download stopped and suddenly multiplied.
It happens when her network got slow and disturb the download, make a new download of the same app but not abort download of the previous one.
I already tried stop the original one but the others that multiplied dont have any option where to stop it. And I also already stop the network, restart the phone, but nothing worked.
Need help!
Yea, I also used to have same problem --now I don't download apps (from market). You can try cancelling the download...
Go to My apps and what you are downloading will be listed there. Long press on it and click cancel download/stop. It might solve it... You can try downloading on pc and then transfer to mobile if you are really annoyed.
Try to freeze it using root explorer
Freeze? You mean like Titanium Backup?

Battery Drain due to Media Server

Hello i have found some guides that explain how to deal with this but i could not solve the problem
1st) I cant find 0byte files on my internal sd
2nd) there is no way that i factory reset the phone
3rd) the app that used to work like magic on 4.3 now wont work (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.addz.mediascannerroot)
4th) An app that i found in a post caused some problems (like phone locking up and having to reset the phone so i can unlock it)
I attached some photos of my battery drain so you can get an image of the problem
(it may not seem as a drain but when i used the "Rescan Media ROOT" app on 4.1.2 i used to get a MUCH greater battery life.
My phones status
UBT
Rooted
Running on 4.4.2 Aopk Rom
Doomkernel v04
Thank you and i am sorry for my endless questions i try to contribute to the forum as much as i can.

All day long.I use poweramp but i think the principal is the same.
Also i found out that the total wipe of my internal SD i did earlier did not help at all.
But using BetterBatteryStats i found that:
AudioMix has been running for 2 hours and 3 minutes in total. (partial wakelock)
PowerManagerService.Wakelocks has been running for 2 hours total (kernel wakelock)
Whats all this stuff ?Are these 2 system related ? and last but not least can i stop them from running ?
Well playing music drains the battery pretty quick. This is also due to mediaservice.. We cant do a thing about it.

Install and try mediaserver killer in Google Play. Hope it helps.
Thank you i have used this app but when i locked my phone something happened and could not unlock it

Same issue as jackaros but peak
Even my XSP is facing similar issue like jackaros's and in mine Media Server is constantly consuming battery at 75-80%. I have also attached a screenshot of the same. My phone was completely normal, recently I had a complete wipe and restored Nandroid backup from then this issue creeped in. I have searched several threads in XDA and every time it ends cluelessly. Dear Devs and Mods, please help us

Turn off all syncing activities and also use odexed roms because the deodexed roms have this issues usually, random battery drain amd such. Kernel might also be the problem so you can try that.
For us to better solve your issue, please download better battery stats here and send screenshots of 1hour of battery usage: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809

[Q] Random soft-reboots (Stock 1.205, root)

Hi guys,
My phone is experiencing random soft reboots (reboots without a need to type in simcard PIN) during the day. It happens totally randomly, sometimes 3 times a day, sometimes not once in a couple of days. Sometimes when I use it, sometimes when it's idle on the table.
I'm running stock JB 4.3 A.1.205, LB, Towel-rooted, no custom recovery (I tried some previously and they were givig me all sorts of trouble, so I downloaded fresh official ROM and Towel).
I've been trying to track down the process that causes reboots, I temporarily uninstalled Xposed framework but it still ocurred.
Is this a known issue? Is there a better way to check what is causing that (perhaps in some log file)?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Michal

Try with hard reset or try to flash another stock ftf
Thanks, but the reset doens't seem to change much, it occurs anyway.
I'd rather avoid changing rom again, as I said I just recently installed clear stock offcial rom via PCC and only towel-rooted it.
Any ideas how I could try to track the fault process?

I would have said it´s because of the xposed framework if you haven´t said you uninstalled it once. I had the same problem once, and I was kind of sure that it´s because of some gravitybox settings which gave trouble.
I recommend you to uninstall the xposed framwork once again, reboot and give it a try

Well, I'll give it a go, however I did it before and the reboots occurred anyway... I'm now slowly uninstalling all the apps one by one to see when this craziness stops
I'm starting to suspect that it's a fault of Google Play Services, they're always on high positions in my Wakelock and Battery Usage lists, I heard people are also having some other problem with this app.
Edit:
Another thing is that I try to modify something in AppOps (I'm accessing it via some shortcut apps from the Store), but I cannot change permanently any settings (I click back, then enter again some app and it's all 'allowed' again), is this normal?
I'm digging up an old thread, but I narrowed down my problem to Stamina Mode, I think.
I wiped all data via factory reset, reinstalled clean system via PCCompanion and only townel-rooted. The soft-resets began to appear again shortly after first boot. I tried to eliminate differet things and it seems that the reboots occur only when Stamina Mode is on. I've switched it off like a week ago and the phone has been running smooth ever since.
Now I'm just asking out of pure curiosity, has anyone ever stumbled upon similar problem? Is Stamina Mode known for causing any issues of this kind?

Huawei P9 switching itself off

Hi ,
I'm having an issue with my P9 regularly switching itself off.
I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and then flashed Resurrection Remix Marshmallow For The Huawei P9. It's an L09 version. I have installed the current stable version :- ResurrectionRemix-M-v5.7.4-20161118-eva and I'm running open Gapps - arm 64 6.0 Pico.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/cyanogenmod-13-huawei-p9-t3500551
Has anyone else experienced this issue or can advise on a fix?
Thanks for your help.
In what conditions it turn off? in standby when screen is off? when you do something specific? when phone use heavy apps?
Did phone had some damages? it fell off? do you use original charger?
I had similar problem when I was taking my P9 from pocket and it was rebooting... turn out that case that I used had a bit more material near power button and volume, and when i was sitting it sometimes hit those buttons forcing rebooting :/
Phone switching itself off
It's switching off after a call, in standby mode and during a call.
Thanks for your help.
First I would report it to Author of that ROM.
Second, Author mentioned that ROM require fix. quote:

Did you used it?
Also if that problem didnt occur in stock rom before.... its ROM problem and as I said its would be better to send PM or ask in that thread for solution for it.
If you have time, you could revert to stock rom, check if it work, then install that ROM again, and check if its reboot itself.
