Problems after root (wifi is shutting down after a couple of seconds)

Hello to everyone!
I have a problem with the wifi on my Samsung Galaxy S I9000.
After I rooted the phone using CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVS-v4.1-CWM3RFS and after using Voodoo Control Plus and BLN control - Pro, when I open the wifi, it's show me Scanning for 3-4 seconds, it doesn't find any networks and after that, the wifi is shutting down.
I used the option Settings -> Privacy -> Factory data reset, but no resolvation.

Advice: Put a new ROM. Solved.
Its because youre on JVS go on a different firmware (JVT and up) and if it still doesnt work then go to your router and in the settings set lease to two weeks

[Q] Issue on CM 10.0 Wi-Fi (Not authenticating/obtaining ip adress)

Hi, sorry if there's already a topic about this specific issue, couldn't find any.
Now, as the title says, I'm having problem to connect on Wi-Fi network. I have a Galaxy S (GT-I9000B) running on CyanogenMod 10.0 (ICS 4.1.2) since 3 weeks.
Everything was fine when it started, 3 days ago. I can find the network but can't connect into it. It keeps looping on "Authenticating/Obtaining IP Adress".
Today morning I checked my phone and it was connected on Wi-Fi, so I thought the problem was solved, now it is not working anymore.
So far I tried: restarting; "forgetting" the wi-fi and connecting manually/by wps; wipe cache..
Anyone have an idea on how can I fix it?

Thanks in advance

S3 i9305 - problematic wifi.

Hello guys,
I just want to share this problem with my S3 LTE i9305, this unit came from singapore (singtel), and im now using it in Cebu, Philippines. However i am having too much trouble with its wifi always getting Authentication errors (when i was still in stock firmware).
I should say i can rule out that my wifi hardware is defective, because I was using the wifi yesterday whole night in our house. downloading stuffs from play store, browsing, facebook and etc.
This is what i already did:
1. downloaded a Hongkong firmware (official samsung stock firmware) flashed with odin with no problem. hoping that the wifi issue is just a corrupt base firmware.
- still wifi is problmatic
2. Im on Cyanogenmod 10.1 4.2.2 Jellybean
- all functions are okay except for the wifi
WIFI SETUP:
keep wi-fi on during sleep: always
wi-fi frequency band: auto
wi-fi region code: usa
wifi optimiation: unchecked
It can seem to detect new wifi with strong signals but whenever you connect to it the signal 'literally' drops to one bar, and stop doing the connection.
the problem is intermittent, meaning:
sometimes it works, sometimes its not - and there is no definite time when it works and when not.
here are the details of my current device:
Baseband version: I9305ZHBMI2
Kernel Version: 3.0.64-CM-g9c2e2b; [email protected] #1; mon sep 23 15:03:19 pdt
Cyanogenmod version: 10.1.3-i9305
Build Number: cm_i9305-userdebug 4.2.2 JDQ39E; eng.jenkins.20130923.145024 test-keys

hello! sorry about early bumping.
with wiping phone flash stock rom <<-- how do i do this? and not corrupting any vital stuff inside my phone. I heard that EFS is a very important.
update:
if you're talking about these:
1.wipe data/factory reset
2. wipe cache
3. wipe dalvic cache
i did those stuff 10x already...
PROBLEM is INTERMITTENT: sometime it will connect just fine, sometimes not. << how am I going to work around this problem?
is there any way to low level diagnose the wifi system?
could it just be the hardware? - if hardware then there shouldn't be times that it can connect fine
could it be the software? - where to start?
How i wish someone can help me fix all these intermittent problems I am encountering with the wifi.
EFS etc its all in the Faqs and Guides .

Hi, i have been reading those giudes, and i havent encountered any special method of wiping as what you say... I have used odin to flash like 5x already, got into cwm wipe data, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache...
I already have a backup of my efs in .img format, using terminal.
Can you walk me through?
Wipe phone flash stock rom and test .
I believe flashing via odin using stock samsung rom will wipe the flash. Is that correct? Or do you mean to say format the flash chip first before flashing with odin?... Im not quite sure how to do that.
Right now im using my celfone posting this message. Its just that this fone doesnt connect to other access points where the rest of wifi devices connects fine.
if you are referring to this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1911726
i have done this many times already.
Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
I have tried alot of different ROMS already and the problem persists.
Could this be hardware related?
are there people whos got similar issue?
It can connect to wifi right away if you're 2 meters line of sight of the router/access point.

Yes it could be.My phone had intermittent wfi and data.Turns out it was an "RF loopback timeout" problem.Needed fixing at service centre.HTH.

[Q] Note 3 issues, no wi-fi?

I just purchased a new (used) Note 3 and am about ready to pull my hair out in frustrating. There are a few issues with it:
1) It won't connect to wi-fi, I can't even get it to turn on. It just sits there and says "Turning on...." but never does.
2) It has a horrible signal. I got it to make a phone call...once, that's it. My galaxy note gets a decent signal out here in the sticks, not this note 3.
3) I can't update it, at all. I thought some of the problems could be related to firmware vers. But, when I click on software update it says " Dm initialization not ready. Check network or sim card".
I have checked the IMEI on it and it appears clean. I'm wondering if the issues are due to it rooting? I can't check to see if it has been rooted or not because I have no wi-fi to get the apps. I can't update anything without the wi-fi working. It's frustrating. I have also tried a hard factory reset and I have wiped cache clean. After reading, I have considered sticking another firmware on it to see if that fixes the issue, but I'm seeing a lot of conflicting information about it.
Here are my phone specs:
Device Model: Samsung-SM-N900A
Android version: 4.4.2
Baseband version: N900AUCUCNC2
Kernel version: 3.4.0-722276 [email protected]#1
Build Number KOT49H.N900AUCCUCNC2
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Root Status: Rooted
Recovery: TWRP
PROBLEM:
My fingerprint suddenly stopped working without a fall, reboot or physical change.
When I try to scan, it doesn't display an error message. It's just plain as if there's no finger on the sensor
WHAT I'VE DONE:
I've cleaned the sensor dry, done a reboot, Powe off, removed battery and re-inserted, read a lot of articles relating to this issue, I've tested fingerprint sensor by dialing *#0*#, I've Cleared cache, reset to factory settings, deleted old finger prints, tried to register new ones in safe mode, I've flashed my marshmallow Rom using Odin, tried to flash the first KitKat Rom (ANIH) which failed, disabled gesture, drained battery to 0 and chrged to 100%, turned off for a few hours before turning on, Downgraded to KitKat and back to Marshmallow
WHAT I'VE NOTICED:
1. My backup password works
2.Home button works well, but when trying to register fingerprint, the home button doesn't work. I leave that page by minimizing or by using the return button.
3. The fingerprint sensor details are intact. When I check using *#0*#, it shows Version : 4.6.523.0 FwVersion : 04.53.00.0096
Flex Id : 68A
ProductId : 33
4. It shows PASS on all tests when I run the fingerprint test (Normal Scan) without touching the home button when the test is conducted, but it shows fail on some and pass on the other result rows when I tap or swipe up, swipe down,... on the home button.
Pls guys, I'm in need of your help. I'm confused.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Have you tried a custom kernel?
