The low gain / sensitivity of the secondary microphone - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The secondary microphone at the top of the phone seems to be considerably less sensitive as compared to the one at the bottom. I noticed it while doing voice recording in standard and stereo modes.
Just wondering if it's a built in feature by default or something is wrong with my phone.....
Any help / suggestions in this regard shall be appreciated.....

[Q] Audio recording Tweaks ?

I have a question regarding all the (useful) camera/video tweaks that appeared not long ago.... I think the audio section, except the quality of its encoding ha been a little left apart.... Do you think there's a way to calibrate or make the microphones auto-calibrate themselves in noisy environments ?
I went to numerous gigs lately but the sensitivity of the microphone is wau too high to get an audible rendition of the shows.... Could this be added or tweaked as well ???

[Q] Adjusting the camera's microphone gain/sound record level?

Hi,
Anyone who knows how to lower the microphone gain for the LG Optimus 2X?
Whenever I make recordings when outside enjoying life the recorded sound is always clipping.
I looked at:
developer dot android dot com/reference/android/media/AudioManager.html
I don't even think it's possible though.. maybe someone here knows?

Camera makes "tick" noise when i try to focus on any object!

Hi guys,
I have been facing this problem (i think) and i would like to know if its normal.
Autofocus works
Focusing is good and fast.
But when ever i touch to focus on something it makes a tiny rattling sound like (TICK) and then focuses on the object.
Its like the sound of a watch doing 1 second tick... Except its a bit louder.
Normally this happens in phones with OIS but PLAY doesnt have OIS...
Also if i tap the camera on the backside (slight tapping), it makes this noise which is easily audible. The same tick sound can be heard if i tap anywhere on the back panel of the phone.
Is this normal or should i take it to SVC?
P.S No noise when camera focuses on its own, the tick sound is only heard when i focus on any object and change from back cam to front cam.
I have the exact same issue
Hi
I've found myself in the exact same situation as this one. The camera in the honor play makes a "tick" noise as in a louder clock's ticking sound every time I manually refocus the camera. There's also the added noise of the above said sound when I tap on the back of the phone. If anyone has any update on this please share so I'd be at peace right now. Thanks.

Odd sound phenomenon

I have the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. And I have noticed a strange phenomenon that occurs with the sound whenever I try to screen record using the built-in screen recorder. When playing a game the sound sounds like a normal phone... However, when I start to screen record the sound all of the sudden gets more depth and the bass is louder and the clarity is a lot better. How could a screen recorder make the speakers sound better? Are the speakers not already going at their full potential? If not, how would I go about enabling it to sound the same as when the screen recording is enabled?
As a little background, I am not new to electronics and I am a power user. I've already been up and down the sound settings and through the developers options, but to no avail. There doesn't seem to be any discussion anywhere about this particular phenomenon...
Interesting. May be the codec that's being used.
See what it is in Developer options when in those states.
Could be a firmware glitch... like those never happen in Samsungs
