It certainly would my friend as the n6p and n5x has a mod to enable it on there devices apparently on 7.1.1 dev preview its working on I wonder if it works in stock N7.0 too there must be someone who knows how to edit systemUI.apk for us

I hate to shut this down but I'm not sure if it'll be possible at all because the Pixels use a 64bit processor but our beloved Shamu uses a 32bit processor so the required files are incompatible to say the least.
I am no developer by any means and I hope I am wrong...

It's possible. It's just not going to happen. Not until Elgoog releases 7.1.1 src for shamu.

That's because Google Assistant happened to be integrated into the Google App already and that the Google App simply needed to see that you 'had a Pixel,' which we are able to spoof. However, our current SystemUI does not have the required code for this animation and it will be near impossible to port the code across 32/64bit platforms without some sort of source code.

Well let's see, hopefully some dev can

Obviously it is possible because the Nexus 5 has the animation and has had it for a while on the fake Nexus rom and that's a 32bit chip and n5 isnt even getting official 7.1.1 so yes it is possible

It will only work on Über and could be broken in the next build. And yes you can still use substratum to change the nav bar look.

@Yasharkhan @Mikeybray16 i flashed that zip on crdroid v1.2 and i got into rom without any system ui fc and nav bar animation works strangely ......there are two problems : 1 ) i think crdroid developer used theme and that's why the nav bar is not white but look nice anyway and 2) the status bar is broken

You should probably make it more clear that this is only for NPD90G, meaning Nexus 6 DP5 (for when Nexus 6 final 7.0 is out).

I've got 4 rows through a substratum "theme", so mainly I'd like to have this mod using the system file from NBD90Z in case there's something minor that has been changed by Google between releases.. Perhaps they are identical though?

There is no system ui tuner in android 6 so I really don't understand what your trying to accomplish man. Pure Nexus has Substratum for theming baked in and nav bar customization baked in so this mod is pointless for Pure Nexus rom.

I'm hoping when the final build of 7.1 rolls out someone will then make a zip with AROMA installer for all the ports. No one is probably going to put too much time into it right now since they'd have to port it to DP1, then DP2, then final. But fingers crossed!

[Zip][Flashable][OPP2] -{NOT A FULL PIXEL MOD}- O-DP2 Pixel Launcher

THIS HAS BEEN UPDATED TO DP3. NEW THREAD LOCATED HERE https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/themes-apps/zip-pixel-mod-o-dp3-pixel-launcher-audio-t3619253
This is just a simple zip to bring the Pixel Launcher to the O-Developer Preview 2. This is not a full Pixel Mod. This is the Pixel Launcher from the Pixel XL O-DP2.
This version has the new notification feature (tested on O-DP2. I can't say about 7.x) and it is working. Make sure to grant Pixel Launcher notification access.
While root is unavailable, you an use Gladiac's FED-Patcher to make this mod work. found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/fix-fed-patcher-v8-forceencrypt-disable-t3234422.
To revert back to stock just flash the system.img in TWRP. If you want the stock boot.img you can flash that in TWRP too.
As always, make a backup before flashing anything and doing this stuff voids your warranty and what not

I do plan on porting other features over. I'm sure other people will be able to get it done quicker than I will though. To my knowledge, these ports are still unavailable as they require decompiling apk's which is unsupported for the Android O apps. Hopefully soon though, but there's some speculation that we'll have to wait until the final release

Thanks for the heads up! I think im going back to 7.1.2. the little hickups here and there, lack of tinted navbar and night mode and the newest safetynet problem on the latest build (019) just don't outweigh the little additions that Android O bring just yet.

I would, but the ability to do this isn't available yet. This requires modifying apk files, and Android O apks do not have support yet with apktool. Speculation is that we'll have to wait until the final O release to have support

Go clear Pixel Launcher's data and cache, then open the whatever File Explorer you put background (so that you won't have to open PLauncher and trigger the icon settings once agsin) and replace system/framework/framework-res.apk w/ this one I uploaded.
work on pure nexus 7.1.2 r8
First of all thanks to OP.
EDIT:
Working perfect.
On 7.1.2 with Magisk v13 and Pixel Luancher works but it does not show up in the Notification Access list to grant it permissions so the notification dots do not show up on the icons. Any ideas? TIA

My initial thought would be that the notification feature would only work on the O Preview. Notification badges were listed as a new feature of O, which leads me to believe the available of the notification dots is only in Android O sadly

That was my thought too but I saw earlier posts of people saying they had it working on 7.1.2. Just curious how.

[PIE only] Pixel Stuff [UPDATE]

So hey I have been working on this since Android Pie was released and ported to my device (bacon) and today after so much struggle I finally got success!
So here it is Pixel Launcher for all the roms which doesnt support it. Most of you might be knowing how pixel launcher force closes on Android Pie.
The zip is a flashable zip which can be flashed in any custom recovery. There maybe few bugs or the zips wont work for your device, in that case text me.
You can find the zips in attachment.
Updated apks from Pixel 3
Steps to flash the zip are:
1. Flash your rom+gapps of your choice (clean flash recommended)
2.Flash PixelLauncher-for-all.zip
3. Flash Pixel-build-prop-patch zip
If you encounter anything just drop me a message at https://t.me/Ram_rdb
If you like my work just click on thanks.
Thanks to:
1. Pixel Experience rom for the (P-Hotness) overlay.
2. Thanks to Google for making Pixel Launcher.
3. Thanks to my tester @Ashu7397 for testing the stuffs and banging his head with me.
4. Thanks to everyone who supported me in any way.

Default launcher coming with the ROM and also other launchers apk like lawn chair , cpl etc looks the same. Also, recents is part of pie ROM. Why we need to have a separate zip for this. No point.

I guess you are unaware of what Pixel Launcher is and what features it come with for Android Pie roms. The launcher shipped with roms is QuickStep which lacks most of pixel launcher features. And Lawnchair and Cpl dont support Pie as Recents are not yet available with them.

I understand what you say. Mostly this is useful for person who use on screen button to access recents menu. I use HW buttons, it doesn't make big difference with any ROM. Still I will give a try on your package just to experience the difference. Thanks.

No No. Its not just onscreen and hardware buttons.. you get AI powered shortcuts in recents and app drawer, App Slices (google it), Text selection in recents apps screen, Google Now integration etc.
Fantastic:good: thanks for the Face unlock zip

Is It just working making a clean flash? Because the shortcuts in "recents apps" doesn't work in my already installed ROM .
Hi OP.. Can I post this thread link to Nexus 5 forum? I tried your zip files on Unlegacy pie rom and it works flawlessly
