I can't remember if this is possible.
Is the a way to disable your alarm if your screen is on?
I'm normally awake before my alarm goes off.

When you put the phone screen-down (which I do so I don't wake up because of notification lights etc).. it instantly snoozes when the alarm goes off because "touch the screen to snooze"
Couple of times I would oversleep never understanding why it didn't keep alarming until I turned it off..like I set it to.
So ye..screen up!
There is a setting that alows for "turn over for snooze. Disable it.

i had the same issue, i had to switch to another alarm clock because on the old one I was using (it had a blue icon and came up as the 2nd result in the market when searching for alarm clocks) wouldn't ever play loud, regardless of the volume setting, and it refused to use a different tone for the alarm. The one I'm using now is Alarm Clock Plus and it's awesome, so if you're ever looking for another alarm clock, I suggest this one

Alarm Clock Plus is what I have used since my OG Droid. It is just like the stock alarm from Froyo, but fully customizable.

Hi
I use extended standby mode as see huge benefits from this feature however it doesnt appear to workwith 3rd party alarms. I have installed the Brian Blessed alarm but the only way to get it to work is to also set an alarm in the default alarm app 1min after my Brian Blessed alarm as he alarm wakes up my phone then all my apps catchup including the Brian Blessed one. Is there a cleaner solution?

Unfortunately not. I have tried to put an alarm .apk in /system/app and it just won't work. Chances are we will get the option to make a whitelist for apps which should not be paused in Jellybean.
Try alarmdroid, used it in the past. Use normal alarm app these days, but if I remember correctly it had a wakelock function

I'm trying to find the setting for this function that will allow one to silence the alarm when you pick up the phone. I think I disabled it, but I can't find an option to enable it again in neither the clock app nor the phone settings.

can i get the address of the genius at Motorola that though the alarm and call icons on active display being exactly under your thumb and on the alarm using dumb icons that means nothing would be a good idea?
failing that, is there any way to continue using the default clock app but having non retarded alarm notifications?
i loved the simple alarm clock app one... touching anywhere snoozed and long pressing dismissed...
but anyway, anything other than the stock would be better. just don't want to use another app for clock
is that possible? is the alarm thing an activity that i can install alternatives or something?

Did anyone was able to extract alarm clock from Note 2 ? It had useful feature, it rang only in specific location when enabled.
