I've searched the forum and didn't see anything related to my question. I did see something about internal storage but that is not the case here.
So Titanium backup in Android 6.0 does not allow you to write to the external card unless you give it permission. so I gave it permission last night by doing the file storage, document storage directory option rather than just installing the sdfix which I see I should have now.
I let the phone do it's thing for the backup and this morning the phone was off.
I assumed it died.
I started the phone and it shut off straight to the charging lightning bolt screen.
long story short after numerous attempts to wipe/reset and start over installing not only cm13 and cm12.1 the sdcard is not readable in android in cm13 the phone reboots to the battery screen and cm12.1 the phone doesn't see the sdcard and pc does see it but it shows up as 0.0 bytes.
However it is visible and readable and writable in recovery. in fact I restored the backups of not only cm13 but cm12.1 which I'm currently on now to use the phone again.
Any suggestions.

Back up everything and Flash stock 5.1.1 firmware and see if it works.

First of all, I am posting this thread here because I can reply in a thread about CWM, since topics are located in the Dev part and I, as a new user, dont have the access. To get it, it would take me an hour or so, to get 10 posts.
Back to this thread...
So yesterday I rooted my LG Optimus 2x using this Guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327599
and I did everything as listed.
Then I downloaded ROM Manager and tried to download a CM7 ROM. First I had to re-flash CWM Recovery (for some reason). After that I tried to backup my ROM(Stock 2.3.4, flashed without root, LG support is great yay!), but when it rebooted and launched CWM, nothing happened.
I couldn`t even select a command by pressing power button. I was worried, but since I did nothing to the ROM, I pulled out the battery. Since I knew there was a backup option when downloading the ROM, I downloaded it and again, when CWM launched, nothing happened. This time I could choose commands, so I went on and rebooted.
So I did it manually, downloaded gapps and CM7, placed them on my 1gb SD card. Launched into CWM, made a backup, wiped data, cache and partition cache. Installed CM7 from SD and Google Apps. Rebooted and the nice CM7 Launch Screen appeared.
So until now everything went seemingly well. When I did the setup I noticed the Google Apps were missing, but I didn`t mind that. That was the only problem issue.
Today I tried to take a picture, but I couldn`t because my SD card was full. First I was confused, since the Camera shots used to be stored in the Internal memory.
So I plug the phone into my PC and checked the External SD card. The Back-up ROM took all the space and I am quite bothered, since I have planned on changing my SD card.
Now I wrote all this just in case I did something wrong, but here is the question:
Can I somehow move this back-up to my Internal storage and not lose my Back-Up.
Where is CMW installed?(I had to re-install it again after ROM flash. ROM Manager remained on my phone, while other apps go deleted.)
Now this is quite a lot of text, but I am a newbie, and I need to know if I messed it up.
Thanks in advance!
CWM are installed to an own partition (cant remember wich one, but that doesnt really matter)
Just move backup folder from /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/*BackupDate* to /mnt/emmc/clockworkmod/backup or something like that,
Try and see
When I connect the phone to PC I get to folder, the External SD one and Internal(5,5gb). THere is a folder called clockworkmod, but I cant see the mnt and emmc thingys.
Is it allright if i copy my whole backup folder there(there is a download folder for CM7. I can delete that can`t I, for storage space purposes.)
Ty
Should work
Hello,
I have searched for a solution with no luck.
I had been cruising along on Safestrap 3.04, flashing almost daily, when all of the sudden, no backups. When I select backup, set the backup name and slide the slider, it goes to the backup screen, lists the backup folder location on the bottom of the screen for about 2 seconds, then just goes right back to the home screen of Safestrap.
I am running .246 and I know that I have enough space on my SD Card for the backup. Since this problem started 2 days ago, I have since uninstalled Safestrap and upgraded to 3.11. The problem still persists.
I have been flashing since my days with the Eris.I would like to think I am not making a "stupid" mistake. But, maybe I am.
Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks in advance.

I will do you one better I am working on Bionic using Safestrap 3.11 right, well A it all of a sudden reverted from booting ROM Slot 1 which it did multiple times all day yesterday fine to booting only stock ROM right so I wondered if the user deleted wrong files. When I look System.img and Data.img are there, but anytime I boot in to safestrap and set boot to ROM 1 it changes over stating ROM slot 1 then I restart the phone and it boots right back to Stock with the safestrap splash stating Disabled. I have tried a lot I tried booting to stock re-rooting the phone un-installing and re-installing safestrap [went in to app removed safestrap then removed the app and then put it all back]. STILL NO LOVE.
Then I go to run a backup of ROM 1 which it runs and everything looks fine [aside form it not finding a cache.img file] and I watched it progress through and generate MD5s the whole bit right. Well when I blew it away and restarted [ROM slot 1] I went through both internal storage and the external SD and neither had the backups [safestrap folder is there but only 2 files the active ROM slot file and forget the other].
I have also noticed though anytime I go to flash a Custom ROM to a ROM slot even though in install from SDCard has a selector to move between internal and external storage either option I choose only will list the Internal SDCard contents ONLY.
ALSO, have not even seen a way for me to select the external storage when creating a ROM slot which everywhere I read it is supposed to give you the option to use either now. Seeing as how the user has a fast 12G external SDCard I am not really interested in the internal storage, but would love to find out why it just stopped using the Custom ROM slot 1 after multiple restarts had it running fine and now it just reverted and will not allow me to set it back again.
Anyone want to give any of this a shot? Again this is a VZW Bionic using Safestrap 3.11 I am working on for someone else.
Hi,
I am using latest JB FW, Timin8r rom. I was on stock kernel.
Last night i rebooted my phone and got the grey triangle. I left the phone over night and it was OK in the morning.
However, I got a message that internal storage was 75% full and a popup appeared asking me to transfer data to my ext card. However, all options said 1 file and 0% and the transfer button was greyed out so i pressed cancel
An hour ago I flashed the new stock kernel with recovery and thats when i noticed that my file structure had changed, Inow have
ext-card
sdcard
sdcard1
(Sdcard 1 is actually the ext-card)
However, from the sdcard (Internal storage) I have lost all the folders from Android to Notifications (Listed in alphabetical order). What is left is only a few MB but storage on the phone reports that there is 10Gb still in use. So I think the data is still there just not visible in root explorer or on the PC when I mount phone.
I am going to leave the phone alone whilst I am at work as it may need to settle, but has anyone else got any ideas?
Hay man, I have a similar issue, though not as bad, I rebooted and got the gray triangle, I waited and shows low storage. Curious why, I looked in explorer it showed the same storage folders you have.
Sdcard
Sdcard1
Ext-sdcard
Though the only problem is sdcard and ext-sdcard both show the contents of what my ext-sdcard actually shows which is strange. Seems to have duplicated itself in another folder...
I might try and delete one and see what happens.
As for your problem, you could try and flash a stock ICS to reset the file structure?
Sent from my LT30p using xda premium
The ext-card has not been dupicated its just two seperate paths to get to the same place.
My main concern is the missing folders in the sdcard (Internal) They still appear to be there as there is a discrepency of 10 gb between what is reported to being used and what I can actuall see.
These include my recovery backups and lots of photos so I dont want to format yet.
I have a copy of some backups on my pc at home so when i get home I can restore and check.
Same issue

I had them backed up so I just formatted the card. sorry i cant be more help
So just a quick run down of the what happened. I am rooted with safestrap. I had the slimkat rom installed and I have a nandroid backup of my slimkat rom and stock rom.
I tried to use the app called internal to external to swap my internal and external sd so I would have more room (stupid because I didn't know what I was doing). First I copied all the files from my internal storage to the external sd per instructions including the safestrap files(Probably part of my problem). Then for those familiar with the app I selected the sdcard and sdcard-ext for the first two options and sys/dev/block/179:97 for the third option where it says select the sdcard at the system level. For the mount option I had unmask=0000.
Anyway I hit the swap button and not much changed. I checked storage and it showed that the internal storage was clear but it still only said 2gb were available. I then rebooted and it was stuck in a boot loop. Its pretty messed up no but with much playing I can still sometimes get into safestrap, but when I look in the rom slots it says there is 0 space available internal. I have tried to do wipes but it says it can't wipe cache. Right now it is active under slot 1 but if I try to activate any others it crashes. I tried to restore my nandroid but it fails. I can still move files in file manager though.
Is there anything I can do that might help? And would restoring with rsd lite even help at this point? Thanks for any ideas!
Ok so it a crazy turn of events it actually booted to stock jb and is still rooted but it is still pretty messed up. In files it says that the internal has 0 free space but I can still open it and see its files. It won't save pictures because it says no space is available. See pictures. I am going to try to leave it on so it might be a little easier to work on the files. Is there a way to unflip what ever I flipped with that app?
So with it booted back up I installed the external to internal app again and played with it some more. At first I had though I had made it worse because it said the SD card was the internal and the external. But I rebooted it and after a series of wipes and restore attemps I was able to restore my stock and slimkat backups. Everything looks good except I has a flashboot error every time I reboot but I think I might have found the a way to fix that also. Thank you Lord!
I can no longer see anything in internal storage today from within the my phone OS. I was on Pure Nexus (5.1.1) and tried to upgrade to purenexus (6) today. After installing the ROM and Elite kernel the phone sat on the start animation for 30mins. At this point I turned it off and booted to recovery and restored from a back to 5.1.1.
I then noticed all my sounds were gone and Titanium backup couldn’t find any backups. When I used ES File Explorer, there was nothing in the internal storage. After a bit of a heart flutter, I went back into recover and I can see the internal storage there so backed it up via Toolkit. So all the files are there, but I can’t actually see anything when I go back into my phone OS. I could for a while see the directories but there were no files or sub directories, now ES File Explorer shows it as being empty.
Any ideas on a quick fix, or should I just do a complete wipe of EVERYTHING and start from scratch. Nothing appears to be have become excrypted.
Had you fix this issue? I've xperia SL with internal storage 27GB, no sdcard slot and i flashed mm aosp and didn't see my internal storage on OS. I can see it in recovery only.

have you checked to make sure that you are looking at the right storage location? sometimes, rarely, androd will create a "new" storage filesystem, but will leave the old one, if you have root you can search the whole filesystem for where its at, then just replace the new filesystem with the old one.
